Newbie here
Hi everyone, nice forum!
K, I am seriously thinking about dancing, a friend of mine is trying to get me in the business. She works at a club in Downtown Toronto (not sure if I'm allowed to mention the club)
Anyway, I wondered what this club was like to work in (if I'm allowed to post the name)....thanks ;)

Re: Newbie here
I work in toronto, go ahead and post the name, or pm me if you want. I'll warn you though, t-dot is not a friendly place to start dancing...first of all, you have an extra $400 sitting around to get your liscense? And second, lots and lots and lots of pimps and extras go down in this city, you gotta have a really thick skin and a really strong hustle to make decent clean money.

Re: Newbie here
Thanks Odette, she works at Filmores, she said the girls are really nice there and she makes alot of money. I think I'd o well at it, I'm a good dancer and have the body for it.

Re: Newbie here
I worked at filmores for a few shifts, I found it to be ok, but nothing spectacular money-wise. However from what I understand it takes a little while to start making money there. I've also heard that Kaspar will help you get your liscense--heard this from other girls on the site, I already had mine when I started working so I never researched this. Filmores had A LOT of girls when I worked there though, which I didn't like. The girls are all really really nice though! (as is the staff) And the bar itself is pretty nice looking, it has a lot of pink lights and is super pretty :) I guess filmores is probably one of the best bars in toronto to start dancing at, it's a little bit more laid back. If you want to try dancing I'd say go for it! But just be wary of all the extras crap you'll have to deal with dancing in toronto. If you ever get the chance to dance outside of toronto you'll wonder why you ever put up with it haha

Re: Newbie here
LOL......Not into extras. I have one problem though!...I am approaching 40 /:O (ya I know WTF!!). See I've always had an interest in dancing but never did anything about it. Now that I'm separated from my husband, I want to go out and live a little.
And to those of you who are thinking...GOD a 40 year old dancing??....I still have a body of a 20-something year old ::)....and very few wrinkles.

Re: Newbie here
Don't let your age stop you. There's quite a few older dancers, and many of them do quite well. As long as you look good and are confident, you'll be fine!

Re: Newbie here
Thanks Shanna, nice of you to say, I feel pretty good about myself, so I figure hey why not........I would love to make guys want me...after being in a marriage where I wasn't allowed to "express" myself...now I'm free to do so (and no I don't mean slutty around)....LOL

Re: Newbie here
Oh yeah, don't worry about your age, especially if you look good, it's fine, I've worked with quite a few girls in toronto that were your age and even older. And filmores has a huge range of dancers. If you plan on going on schedule and doing stage shows I'd recomend taking a pole class or two before you start since its one thing to start dancing at 40 and another to continue dancing at 40. Having good dance skills is a bonus!

Re: Newbie here
Hey! I worked at Filmores for a while, and they're a good club to get started in. Kasper (the entertainment manager/hiring manager) often helps girls get their license, but it's somewhat conditional, so you'll have to contact him to see if he'd help you out. About a year ago when I worked at Fillys he helped this super hot 36-year-old dancer get her license for the first time, so as long as you look good and firm it'll probably work out in your favor!
Filmores will be a good fit for you at your age. 40 isn't old, but it's old to begin dancing; not trying to discourage you, but it's the reality. Lots of 'older' strippers work at Filmores (they're in their 40's, so not old in REAL life, just old in stripper years) and they do great! Usually they work the earlier shift (starting at 4, ending at 11) because there's less girls and less competition. You can go on shift, which means you get 50/night, and you do 3-4 stage shows. Many of the girls there are very nice. I worked the early shift when I was there and they were all great - the girls who come in later are ALL business though so watch your back around them.
The dressing room is really nice, I think they're out of lockers now though, so you'd have to keep your stuff in the office. You go upstaires to the hotel to check in, and they also have a little inside smoke room for the girls if you smoke. I say go for it! You'll have a friend working there with you and make a few extra dollars feeling sexy. Just don't start with the extras. It takes some time to get used to the hustle, but there is serious money making potential there being a clean dancer if you're willing to work hard.
Take care XOXO!
