January thru May is Vegas convention season.
Pretty close, Kiwi. Things start to pick back up in September - but our BIGGEST time of year is during NFR and CES/AVN. That's December and January.
"Convention season" according to most people in tourism-dependent jobs is generally held as September - April. It starts to slow waaaaaaay down come May, and June - August is just ... yea. It's god awful.
September and October it gets a little busier. November it gets substantially better. December and January hit - and there's where the $1000+ nights come easy, even still.
Seriously - do NOT bother right now, or for the next couple months. You'll wanna shoot yourself. Most of us who are stuck out here sure do. :-\
About 5 or 6 yrs ago I worked the day shift at a small club in Vegas that catered to alot of Vegas regulars. I was in no way a great hustler but I did alright for myself bc I prolly had the biggest boobs during that shift lol..I never worked the evening shift even though I was originally hired at SR and couldve easily worked at one of the larger clubs the night shift. I never wanted to deal w the night shifts where customers would try to grab ur crotch for free bc there were like 40 girls standing around desperate for lapdances.. It was awful the nights I went into the clubs like Sapphire where although it was huge and very nice inside there were wayy too many girls. I may not have the 1000 dollar nights n my blue collar southern state but I am def happier that my shifts r about 2 hrs..Makes it alot easier to get through my nights when they dont have to drag on forever. Vegas clubs are nice and have the capability to bring n high dollar earning nights but even though I dont live n Vegas anymore Im pretty sure those nights are hard to come by.
ps I worked out there from late April through the summer off and on til late Oct/early Nov.
I am here right now visiting. check out these current threads:
seems like everyone is asking this question right now!!
