Logitech HD Vid Terms and Conditions
I just bought a c910 Logitech cam and in the terms and conditions for registering the product it says that certain types of images are prohibited, such as anything that:
"# harasses, threatens, embarrasses or causes distress, unwanted attention or discomfort upon any other person"
# includes sexually explicit images or other content which is offensive or harmful to minors;"
There's a bunch more prohibited items, but those stuck out the most because I bought a webcam to well, webcam. I included the first because everyone knows that some people are offended by any nudity, period.
This sounds like complete bullshit to me and I'm wondering how they can legally try and prohibit me from using an item that I bought in any way that I want. My question is, how likely are they to know that someone is using a web cam for cam modeling? Has anyone encountered a problem with this before? I'm planning on using my cam regardless, but I'd like to hear more about this.
Thanks
Re: Logitech HD Vid Terms and Conditions
roflol. i don't think this will be a problem, unless you are using their cam chat software (for my 9000, it gave me the option of installing/registering for an additional service to cam chat with family/friends). the logitech 9000 is probably the most popular webcam for camgirls, & the c910 is pretty popular too, and i've never heard of logitech bothering anyone about this.
Re: Logitech HD Vid Terms and Conditions
Those terms are probably for thier camming software, not for the cam itself.
Logitech packages with a cam software that you can use to cam on, but dont use that...

Ah, I see. Thanks for clearing that up ladies! :)
