ATM etiquette... and im not talking about ass to mouth you pervs
when you take a customer to the atm, what kind of etiquette do you use? i always look away when they enter their pin number. I used to look away the whole time (kind of like you are supposed to behave in a bank) but customers down here are often so retardedly drunk that they need help figuring out the most basic things such as which way to put in the card and which buttons line up with what and hitting 200$ instead of 2000$ which is over the withdrawal limit anyway. I tend to guide them thru it , which speeds up the process... but i still wont hit the buttons for them. i dont want there to be any claims that i stole from a guy.
some girls are all up in the customer's business when they are at the atm. like looking over their shoulder and stuff. personally, i would feel uncomfortable if a girl, regardless of how hot and entertaining she may be, was staring over my shoulder as i typed in my pin. some men dont seem to give a fuck. and they should... i remember one time when i was at my old club i did a 3 girl room... at some pt the customer was stupid enough to entrust one of the more dishonest girls wiht his card and pin. she withdrew close to 2k before hitting the bank limit when she was only supposed to withdraw about 500. the customer was a regular there and came back pretty ticked off a week later. fortunately, since i was the girl who stayed in the room to keep him company, i did not get in trouble for it.
so girls, what etiquette do you use at the atm? and customers, i am also curious as to what makes you feel uncomfortable as far as girls breathing over your shoulder as you enter your bank info.

Re: ATM etiquette... and im not talking about ass to mouth you pervs
ok...first off I guess I am a pervert as to what my first thoughts were when I read the title. ha......
I don't use the atm at the club due to the high fees they charge. I always have the money I think I need plus some backup. That being said...I would never give card or pin to the dancer. If I needed help, I would have her get me to the point of entering pin and then I would expect some privacy while entering it. At that point .....she could help me get the money out. However, I would hope that I was never to the point that I was so drunk I couldn't function enough to complete a withdrawal of money.
I think you are handling it the right way.

Re: ATM etiquette... and im not talking about ass to mouth you pervs
dude, i swear like 70% of customers need aid with one of the atms in my club. the downstairs atm has a higher success rate, but for some reason when it comes to the atm upstairs customers will be standing in front of it stupidly trying to insert the card horizontally into the vertical slit and wondering why it does not fit.
(thats what she said).

Re: ATM etiquette... and im not talking about ass to mouth you pervs
I only ever used a ATM once in a club. $100 ended up costing me $120. Screw that. That extra $20 is another dance, or a tip.
Now? Only cash, All the time.
As far as etiquette, your approach seems fine.

Re: ATM etiquette... and im not talking about ass to mouth you pervs
We don't have an ATM in the club but we take cards for everything (even tips) and there's always a bouncer available to escort the guy to an ATM around the corner if he wants.
When the card machine comes out I check the amount then look away when he puts in the pin. Sometimes the guys start walking away without taking their card back so in that case I take it and hand it back to them.

Re: ATM etiquette... and im not talking about ass to mouth you pervs
You know this is exactly where I say you & I differ! I DESPISE babysitting them at the ATM. If he's not drunk I let him do his thing & I look away. If he's drunk & I have to help him with his card & entering everything... well I can only take so much of it before I'm about ready to pull my hair out. If you leave them to their own demise they'll sit their fumbling around like an idiot for 10 minutes... trying the card 20-30 different times & not being able to get money out. I'll help them, but only so much. Honestly, if they are that drunk I don't want to take them in the back for dances... they're the same ones that try feeling you up, pushing your buttons the wrong way, & are just annoying. If it's going to take them 10, 20, 30 minutes to get the money from the ATM, that means I'm losing out on other money. In the end, there's a limit to it... my "hang around" or "help" time is now limited to about 5 minutes.
If they can't figure it out by then (especially with my help) then I move on. Usually I'll say I have to go catch up with someone, & that since they are having problems I'll just come back to them later. I figure either they won't get the money, they will & hopefully some other girl will get it before they lose it, or I'll check with them later to see if they figured it out... & hopefully sobered up a bit!
While the ATM is better, another reason I don't like dealing with drunk customers is this BS of them suing! Example:
http://blogs.miaminewtimes.com/ripti...strip_club.php
There have been numerous charges like this, some where the stripper herself was charged as the defendant. I just don't care to be in that mix, put up with drunk people, etc.
Now, if I have an opportunity to see the "remaining balance", you better believe I'm checking that out!

I didn't know SC's had ATMs.
You learn something everyday at SW.

Re: ATM etiquette... and im not talking about ass to mouth you pervs
I don't see a need for strip club ATM etiquette to be different than non-strip club ATM etiquette. I've only used a club AM once, but if anyone were looking over my shoulder I'd cancel the transaction. No worth the risk.

Re: ATM etiquette... and im not talking about ass to mouth you pervs
Its really dark at my club and the buttons on the atm machine are pretty worn out, so I will open my cellphone and let them use the light on in sometimes. If the guy is really drunk I will take his card and insert it for him, if he wants me to. I will not push any buttons but I will point them out if the customer needs it.
Most of the time tho customers are pretty sober at my club since it is just a juice bar. If that is the case I will kind of stand to the side and let him do his thing.

Re: ATM etiquette... and im not talking about ass to mouth you pervs
I walk him over and stand on the side of the ATM and chat, so he's not going anywhere and I can babysit if I need to. But, they don't think I'm trying to creep on them.
What you're doing is fine too. I'm sure nobody minds, especially if they're shitfaced.
on a side note.. There is nothing I hate more than waiting in line at the atm for less than 100..... I hate wasting my time waiting to get paid. Same goes for waiting for dance dollars or funny money after dancing... it can take up to 15 min.. WASTE OF TIME..

Re: ATM etiquette... and im not talking about ass to mouth you pervs
I do the same as you Athena. I don't watch the PIN, but I do supervise the rest of the transaction. Especially the "do you want a receipt" part.....so many guys stop paying attention by that point, leading to timed out transactions, wasted time, and pissed off people waiting for the ATM.

Re: ATM etiquette... and im not talking about ass to mouth you pervs
I usually have to help them out. They never know what they are doing but now I will be more mindful to not help them push the buttons, only point. Got it. :)

Re: ATM etiquette... and im not talking about ass to mouth you pervs
Actually, I just try to step away a step or two & give them some privacy. But Athena, I gotta side w/ you on this one -most of the time I wind up actually have to the whole damn affair for them after a failed attempt or two. if its at that point -I'm sure they're already to obliterated to notice our etiquette, huh.:D

Re: ATM etiquette... and im not talking about ass to mouth you pervs
if they just want a couple lap dances I go with them to the ATM and lean up against a wall. I don't help them with the ATM unless they're REALLY drunk.
for champagne rooms I just tell them to get a cash advance because it's faster and easier and I don't have to sit there while they take out $100 at a time for 20 fucking minutes

Re: ATM etiquette... and im not talking about ass to mouth you pervs
I love this thread. :)
This should actually be entitled, "What are the Do's and Don't's in helping a drunk moron retrieve cash to pay me?"
Now I never, ever use a SC ATM. I already go in with a wad and, when the money is gone, so am I. But I cannot help but admire the entrepreneurial spirit of a woman who goes the extra mile in helping a guy to obtain the additional needed funds. ;)
Athena, I think that your approach is fine and I agree that punching in his numbers for him might be a little over the top. The last thing you want is a guy claiming that he was robbed or conned when he wakes up hung over the next day wondering where his bank balance went.

Re: ATM etiquette... and im not talking about ass to mouth you pervs
I helped the guy enter the number only once. Insufficient funds. Lol. Fortunately we had not done any dances, he was so hammered. The stupid club was about to let him drive home drunk too. I stood at the front holding him up until I saw the cab arrive and him get in it. WTF, assholes.

Re: ATM etiquette... and im not talking about ass to mouth you pervs
I have no patience for it as a stripper and will help if it is a slow as sin night or a really small club. However I will help them get their card in the right way then look away while they enter their pin, and point out what buttons to push, not push them myself.
I bartended at an INCREDIBLY divey strip club for a while where most of the customers were sideways drunk or high on meth and had to help so many wasted pervs with the ATM it now makes me want to blow my brains out when I am in that situation. It is like trying to make a 4 year old read Tolstoy.

Re: ATM etiquette... and im not talking about ass to mouth you pervs
Lol does anyone else find that when you have to help them, most the time they don't even have sufficient funds ?

Re: ATM etiquette... and im not talking about ass to mouth you pervs
Not sure if this is what you're getting at, but I've been approached at the ATM (not stupidly drunk) and did not appreciate that at all. The problem was is was so dark I couldn't read the keypad and it was just awkward telling someone I'd rather not use it than hand out my pin to a stranger. But I guess if people are drunk and giving up willingly to get cash then it's probably not a problem. Thinking back to another thread I saw here recently it shouldn't be a shocker that banks limit withdrawals at clubs through, given what's going on.
