Changing the way You Think about Cam Money
I am new, so I hope I don't get bashed. I am new to camming, but I am not new to working from home. I have worked commission only jobs, pay per minute of talk time, pay per sale, etc. My strategy and I did make pretty good was not to focus on a dukie day. I tracked my time and broke it down to how many hours I put in and and how much I actually earned?
Ex: total earnings every two weeks $1500 and total hours worked 60 means I earned $25/hr. Even if a couple of days I ran into obstacle after obstacle and barely made squat - my mind was focused on final numbers.
Hope this makes sense, and I am really just contributing!
Re: Changing the way You Think about Cam Money
im confused about the topic, a little but thats great you broke it down i wish i payed that much attention like you :)
Re: Changing the way You Think about Cam Money
I had seen a few posts about bad times to work or a bunch of traffic with little to no money being made. So I was just using an example of how I keep focused on what matters which is the money. :) I also know that newbie voices are not always welcomed, so that's why I said, "I hope I don't get bashed."

Re: Changing the way You Think about Cam Money
I like thinking in terms of per hour rate too! And I include everything I do...so like, even when I do crap with logging in for cam, I can still think, well...I had a date this week, so all my income combined I made $xx/hr. That always makes me feel better and more motivated.
But definitely, putting more hours into cam would help *a lot*

Welcome to the forum Pretti. Nice to have you...:)
Re: Changing the way You Think about Cam Money
Not exactly tax free, but yeah embracing the full picture instead of the stroke of the brush. There are a ton of writeoffs. I am really taking this seriously and we can writeoff anything from outfits and postage to cams and boobies! Keep receipts and do the business don't let the business do you.
Re: Changing the way You Think about Cam Money
Well thank you really much I havent thought about it like that, but it sounds really organized :P
Thanx you for your advice :)
Re: Changing the way You Think about Cam Money
its really the only way you can track your sucess.
Re: Changing the way You Think about Cam Money
yeah this is how I try to think of it! I track my daily, weekly, and monthly hourly averages. It makes it a lot easier.
and don't worry about getting bashed! It was a useful and interesting post :)
Re: Changing the way You Think about Cam Money
newbies are always welcome if they have helpful info to share. :)

Okay, well obviously I didn't know then...this isn't a career for me, just something I started about a month ago to help with bills for the summer. That is ALL.

No worries. It took me 6 months to figure out that I had to pay taxes as a camgirl. The sooner you know the better.
Re: Changing the way You Think about Cam Money
You can reinvest your cam money into a tax course and learn more about how to distribute your funds. Oh yeah you can write it off too. #realtalk

yes, definitely worth checking out all allowable deductions. I do deduct each and every business expense I can, but I still always owe a lotta taxes!
