Some sites require you to show your face, some don't. Probably Cam4 would be your best bet for not showing your face because a lot of people wear masks and just don't show their face on there. But that's just in my own experience.

I think you usually do have to show your face. If you want, you can not show your face if you're doing a show or something. I feel uncomfortable showing my orgasm face for some reason, so I don't show it. No one has really complained about it. But in normal chat, I do show my face. You'll probably get recorded at least once, but that's how it is. Someone will record me flashing my boobs, I'll be on a porn site for a few days, and it'll fade away.
I do not show my face either. I just show it for few seconds when somebody requested it (not guests)
My regulars just got used to it :D
Hi, jessie! Welcome to StripperWeb! :)
Most models do show their face, however there are models on this forum who've said they do fine without showing their face. Keep in mind that you could still get recorded...face visible or not. I remember I used to think it was just cum shows (which I don't do) that got recorded and uploaded, but nope...some fuckwad recorded me naked on my bed during MFC public chat, and uploaded it to his dumb site.
*Side note: I wouldn't be comfortable asking another model how much she makes. I feel like that's a personal question, and by asking it on here it's sorta putting her on the spot. There are other threads on here where models have volunteered that information...like the 'Camming ROCKS right now!' thread and a couple others. Good luck, and I hope you do awesome!
It's completely okay to not show your face. That's the beauty of camming, YOU get to decide how to run your business.
The only site I can think of right off is LJ that says show face all the time you are camming.
I have seen performers on cams.com, MFC and CB who do not show their faces.
On CB (Chaturbate) there is a performer who is fantastic at this. She does close up of her body, whole body while dressed sexy. When they tip her good she takes something off. Another thing, if you go faceless wear a longer wig. If your not going to show your face, don't show real hair either I believe. Tease with your body, type well, have fun.
Any tats, or scars, don't show. That will out you as quickly as showing you face IMO.
Good luck. Some of these ladies who do not show face just keep it off cam, no mask. They do pretty good money wise.
I used to not show my face and still made good money. I never showed my face in free chat and told guys I would only show in private.
Now I wear a wig and lots of makeup to make myself look different. Contouring and highlighting works wonders^^ There are tons of tutorials on youtube that can teach you how.
i'm new to camming i'm a teacher so i don't feel like showing my face i don't wanna affect my job i wanna cam without showing my face
theres this girl on chaturbate who covers her face with an ice cap she cut it to fit her face anyway there's like 1000+ viewers in her room and i saw that shes making pretty good i cammed without showing my face i just showed the down side from the nose.. i made the first day $200 is it good? i didn't do any public cum shows i've only did flashes and privates i'm thinking of wearing a mask and doing countdowns like naked and topless and cum show. its better maybe i'll make more this way so what kind of mask should i wear? is theres any cam model here who doesnt show her face?
You made $200 and you are asking if it's good? lol im puzzled why.
Sounds like it's working for you so keep doing what you are doing! I'd be a bit concerned about the paper trail though, with you being a teacher.
Just so you know: cam sites report your income to the IRS. If you get paid by check or bank transfer there will also be a paper trail through your bank. If someone cared enough to look for it they could absolutely find out about camming, with or without your face.
I used to in the beginning with mask and I made good money ... I still always wear mine in pics as part of my persona but not in FreeChat but as requested in pvt.. A lot of guys never even asked me to take it off !!! Said not to take it off that it was hott I only did that for a week . When I took it of a bunch of guys were disappointed and the other half were like woah ur pretty.lol.. Yea I wasn't wearing it because I'm ugly or had a weird problem I was hiding.lol it's up to you. It's part of my persona I like to do fetish, you could also do geographical restrictions I do for both Lj and Sm today was my first day on SM.traffic is still good for me despite the geographical restrictions on both sites I block the state
^^^ just speculating of course, but in your particular situation the greatest risk of being 'outed' for adult industry work will probably take place at the point where you state professional 'teacher's' license comes up for renewal. At that point, the state professional licensing agency will in all probability run a new in-depth background check, and will discover the existence of IRS 1099 reports showing that you received payments from companies involved with the adult industry. At that point, your state professional licensing agency may cite you for 'unprofessional conduct' ... resulting in a significant fine being imposed, as well as the state professional licensing agency placing that citation in your state professional license file ( which will in turn be seen by both existing and potential future employers ).
I had a similar situation occur in regard to my state professional license for Respiratory Therapy. I was licensed in two states, and when it came time to renew my license, a new background check by one of those two states turned up my 1099's. I was cited and fined, and the citation was added to my state professional license file. The one state agency also informed the other state agency. As such, it was a good thing that I had already quit work as a Respiratory Therapist in favor of full time dancing and camming.
As laurielegs alluded to, not showing your face on an adult webcam may provide some degree of short term 'protection' ... at least in terms of a student / parent / school official 'stumbling across' your face while surfing cam websites. But in the longer term, odds are that your camming is not going to remain a secret forever due to IRS 1099 reports, Section 2257 file entries, etc. This of course leads to a 'value judgment' on your part. If the odds favor you eventually being 'outed' anyhow, are the reduced potential camming earnings stemming from wearing a mask / not showing your face 'worth' the increased risk that your face will actually be recognized before you are 'outed' due to other reasons ?
You hide your face... work on a site where free chat rules & figured "I'm being a naughty girl & no one will find out"...
ODDs are against you. It is only a matter of time, you will lose your job, the whole town will turn against you. You will be the local gossip & make the news in no time.
Only person you are hiding from is yourself, NOT the world.
I am sure you have a facebook with pics taken inside your house. Student or their dads will be watching you in free chat. Have a notion, that it maybe you. Go to your facebook page & start comparing things in the back ground to your live feed.
When you put it out on the web, it is NO LONGER a dirty little secret. There is a reason it is called the WORLD WIDE WEB.... there are NO secrets anymore, that time has gone. When you take sexy pics on your phone or upload to a computer, a hacker, even though you are not famous will find them & post them to the world or whoever you sent them too. Go to to a swingers club, cell phones all have pic & video capabilities on them. NO secret lives to hide from the world anymore Watch free porn tubesites, they are collecting your data & telling/selling that info all over the place.
REALITY is there are NO secrets anymore.
Sam
I was thinking, if I ever do get exposed and everyone decides to alienate me and I can't get a vanilla job anymore because of my camgirling, I'll just work in IT for a pornsite. There are a ton of jobs in porn and at least they won't give a shit if you were a camgirl. Porn is stable, it will always be around regardless of the state of the economy and it is always state of the art with technology!
I honestly would not jeopardize your career like that. It will more than likely end in tears.
Also people have this view that cam girls make so much money and they jump on the band wagon and risk allot in their life for it. It's not always great earnings, we do struggle, after a while the money goes down. Is it really worth losing your career over?
Theirs no 100% way to keep yourself from being seen true, even with no geographical restrictions and no mask theres a chance noone will see you or recognize you but then again there is still a chance you will/could be seen. either way it comes down to this
At the end of the day are you willing to risk you lifes work of being a teacher go down the drain?
Are you willing to deal with the humiliation that comes with "Working with Children and Sex Work"?
Many woman go into camming... Majority leave....you might not like this a few months from now but your shows might still be on the web for years to come...
You are on a Token based site... which in my opinion could be worst... those token based sites like MFC and Chaturbate have 3X more guest/Members/Free members Looking for a Free show to easily record and upload (main reason guys dont want to spend nowadays on pvt based sites free porn)
Hi everyone. I was hoping to learn about ways that girls can make money either without doing nude work or without showing your face.
I have been doing online work for about 6 years now. I did it through college and for a year after college while working at a part time job. I mostly have been selling used clothing on ebanned but have also done paid messaging and selling some content on mygirlfund as well. I recently got hired at a big corporation. I'm wondering how I can continue making money online without risking my job. I am still selling used clothing but have stopped showing my face and sales have gone down a bit. I had just signed up on niteflirt and clips sites. I am considering still doing niteflirt calls but I don't see clips as a possibility without showing more than I feel comfortable with. I was reading and learning about different fetishes and thought of many ways to do non nude fetish clips but I don't think they would sell without showing my face.
Any way I can make some extra money on weekends would be helpful!
You can start posting anonymously on reddit's r/gonewild. Build up a following, and start selling panties through r/pantyselling subreddit. I used to do it four/five years ago and was able to make $1,000/month. With reddit being respectively an anonymous community, especially gw, majority of users won't expect you to show your face. It did take a while to build up a following, but being super active on gw (including the gwchat), will help. Remember you can't post ads on gw about selling underwear. But by being active, people will sub you and see your posts on r/sellingpanties.
I don't know how it is now, it has been four years.
They banned me from gonewild. You can't post there if you have any kind of sales/ promotional/ camgirl stuff and they saw i was also on r/camshow. Reddit is a mystery to me
They did something similar to me (a warning, I sort-of know a few of the mods and got lucky).
They want you to use a separate account, and make it look like you enjoy posting because it turns you on or something. If you're trying to make money off of sex appeal on /r/gonewild, it hurts their little boners. :( lol
poor boys
To be fair though, it's their subreddit. They can do whatever they want.
There is also now a subreddit to sell skype shows and snaps. If you are on /r/gonewild and other selling subs you must have a separate account. Idk why.
Like I said, it was four years ago. I wasn't a camgirl, and wasn't hustling. Someone offered to purchase my underwear. I was also cozy with mods at the time.
