Applications at Strip Clubs.
I just called the Strip Club I am applying to asking to speak to a manager. The girl on the phone ask who's this..i told her I am trying to apply for a job. She told me to come in any day after 12pm to apply. The position I am applying for is cocktail waitress..and they wear black fishnets, thong, booty shorts. I asked if the manager is gonna see me tomorrow and she told me they are gonna take my pic and call me if they are interested. What do you ladies think? Why didn't the girl let me speak to a manager??

No offense, but is this a serious question? The manager's probably working! If they were to run over to the phone talking to potential applicants they'd never get any work done. Plus, why would the manager bother speaking to you when they have no idea what you look like?
I've noticed a lot of your threads you're initiating contact via email and phone and clubs don't operate that way. If you want a job in a strip club, go in person during daytime hours and ask for the manager. Don't email your resume, ask for phone interviews, etc. It doesn't work like that.
You've got to be more aggressive and stop hiding behind a phone or computer and go after you what you want.
Re: Applications at Strip Clubs.
Yep what she said. Either that or you sounded sexy as fu*k and that bi*ch was jealous! }:D
Re: Applications at Strip Clubs.
LOL
Application in a titty bar, how pointless.
Either you have the body type & looks, none of that can be determined by a phone call or an application.
Walk in looking hot as hell. That is the ONLY resume you need in a titty bar.

I actually had a short thread about this in Stripping: http://forum.stripperweb.com/showthr...ht=application:)

Actually that really depends on the entertainer, what level she is working at etc. Trust me, I've worked MANY, MANY clubs over the years where I never auditioned, showed up to be "photographed", etc. Sometimes I called/e-mailed, other times I had references who made the contacts & referred me to places, or had the club contact me.
With cocktail waitresses, clubs often don't even care if the girl is unattractive... & honestly having any sort of applications in this industry is becoming a joke.
OP, it sounds like this club is more concerned with your looks then how well you can perform your job. If you are looking into being a waitress rather than an entertainer, you might want to just look at other clubs. Obviously the club you went to has a process in place that is more concerned about getting waitresses who look a certain way... but that doesn't mean that the service will be good - which is a bigger concern in getting customers to return.

I haven't worked in a club in over three years, I guess things have changed. Where I worked, it was important that every employee was attractive including the cocktail waitresses, bartenders and the door girls. Some may think that's unfair but it paid off and the club gained quite a (positive) reputation because of it, which meant we all made excellent money. Even the door girls, some of the lowest paid employees, made minimum $300 a night and I've seen the waitresses bring home a grand on a busy night. (Disclaimer: this was ATL - so YMMV).
I still stand behind my belief that sweet_baby needs to go to the club directly for a job. I mean calling and asking for the preferred times to apply in person is one thing, but it's unreasonable to expect to get any further than that on the phone. I think she's overthinking things a little bit. Nothing wrong with analyzing a situation and coming up a strategy, but you've got to put those plans into action or you won't get anything accomplished.
Re: Applications at Strip Clubs.
WHAT? A GRAND...SIGN ME UP LOL!
I'm going to three clubs tomorrow. i'm applying to be a waitress. Do you need lots of experience..I only worked for Hooters for about 6 months.
Oh yea, check the website if the club has one that's where i got information for employment. The times and what you need to bring! Calling helps as well.
It's a must you visit the club, because looks are everything sorry.
Re: Applications at Strip Clubs.
UPDATE** I went and visited three strip clubs today. One hired me on spot, told me to come in monday and feel it out but I didn't like the atmosphere. The rest took my picture and made me fill out an application. One of the bouncers was trying to convince me to be a dancer. I thought about it but I'm just wayy too shy or am i? I get naked on cam....
Weighing the pros and cons I might just try dancing. It's only a topless club. The girls i seen weren't doing much work. They were just topless and swaying lol. Seriously. I'm so used to going to 'urban' strip clubs where there is booty shaking, clapping and smacking asses. Crazy pole skills and not to mention hardcore lapdances lol. It gets wild!
Cam - I show my whole body on cam and f**k myself. risk being recorded and being all over the net.
Hmmm...I'm going to give it more thought.

Having a bunch of pretty girls without good customer service is a recipe for a tourist dependent club. If all the girls are pretty AND provide good customer service that is one thing... but it's so rare that I don't know that I've even ever seen a club like that. Having a pretty entertainers & waitresses that are actually good at their jobs (regardless of if they are perfect looking) tends to make people more money.
OP, Eagle2 is in the area you are looking to work. As a customer, you might want to ask him what his experience has been at the clubs & if he's likely to be a repeat customer.

No where in my post did I imply the club sacrificed customer service for looks. They were girls who were friendly and customer oriented who just happened to be attractive as well. They wouldn't have been successful if they didn't provide good service.
