Wishlist w/ hidden mailing address?
Hi ladies,
I was on the board a while back and saw a thread discussing wishlist and what sites didn't release the mailing address to the buyer. I have searched and searched, yet cannot find the thread.
Can anyone chime in and provide me with some address hidden wish list companies?
Thank you!;)
Re: Wishlist w/ hidden mailing address?
Amazon has settings to where you can hide it.
I believe its under the third party or something....
However - what I did - is just created another account with my stage name and my PO BOX information in it. Secure as it gets. :)
Re: Wishlist w/ hidden mailing address?
i'd love to know the hidden settings on amazon, because i can't figure that out. as far as i can tell there is no way to hide your name, city, and state on amazon...the most you can hide is your street address, and address it to "resident" instead of your name, but they can still see your city/state no matter what.
edenfantasys is the only site i've found so far that will fully hide your identity for your wishlist. i use them as my primary wishlist (they're an adult toy site) and just list some other places for online gift cards (like thinkgeek, amazon, & a lingerie shop i like).
Re: Wishlist w/ hidden mailing address?
Let me try to figure it out for you ladies and I will report back to you. :)

Correct, you can't hide the city/state. If you are that worried, set up a postal mail box in a different city, or use a re-mailer service such as Earth Class Mail, Mailbox Forwarding, Bongo, etc.
1. Sign into Amazon (if you need to sign-up, do so with your stage name)
2. Near the top right click the blue "Wish List" button, & set it to public.
3. On the left click the blue "Create" link to create a new wish list.
4. Once the list is created click Manage This List> Edit Settings
5. Change the setting for "Ship-to Address" to be "Enter a new address"
6. Enter "Resident" as the name, fill out the rest of the info. Do NOT use your regular phone number! If you need to get a free Google Voice number.
7. Under the address area is a section on "Third Party Shipping", make sure that the checkbox under it is NOT checked... it says "Yes, let Amazon.com share my wish list shipping address with third-party merchants to ship purchases from this wish list." Basically this means you will be limited to putting things on your wishlist that only ship directly from Amazon. If that is an issue, request a gift cards from Visa or such to be used on the other site once you receive it.
8. Click the "Save" button.
Be sure to read:
- Where purchases are sent
- Entering your shipping address
Alternatively you can also set-up a Postal Mail Box through UPS. Don't go through the post office since they limit who they receiving packages from in terms of FedEx/UPS/etc. You can then either use the third party shared address feature &/or the universal wish lists.
Re: Wishlist w/ hidden mailing address?
ThinkGeek, Victoria's Secret, and JT's Stockroom all have secure wishlists.
Re: Wishlist w/ hidden mailing address?
Thank you all for the input. I just joined Edens and it is very cool. Wish Victoria's Secret had my bra size! UGH lol I do like their pajamas, they are quite comfortable. I am still looking for others, so if anyone comes across any, especially those that sell BIG cup bras, I will be most happy.
I will post any that I find as well. Thanks again Cheers!

I have the same problem with VS. Maybe look in to Fredricks of Hollywood to see if they have a secure wishlist.
Re: Wishlist w/ hidden mailing address?
You have to be careful though, because I know certainly for the UK Amazon at least, that if you have a PO Box... some gifts bought from your wishlist, (ie by the customer) may not be able to be sent to your PO Box as they have some weird rule about third party sellers!
It's always better to get a gift card instead, so that you can buy it yourself :)

i don't know about the others, but when i talked to thinkgeek recently they said there is no way to associate an address with your wishlist and have people buy you things without seeing your address - you have to give the customer your address for the item to be shipped.
Re: Wishlist w/ hidden mailing address?
yeah girls i would be very careful with amazon...even if it says your private it doesn't matter, it depends on which company on amazon the item is....I had my wishlist set up for MFI and had all my settings set to private but the particular thing i had on there when the guy bought it he was able to get my address and everythinggggg and now I have a stalker he googled my address and stuff and found my phone number and frickin stalks me now..seriously be careful. like some things i had on my wishlist they didn't give the info out but somethings they did sooo some people got my info and some didn't just depended on what product it was and from what store on amazon..soooo i ended up removing my wishlist all together cause that stuff freaks me out.:O
@Mistress -- yeah i agree, go with the amazon card much more easier AND secure

It has to be sold and shipped by Amazon.com. If the item the person is buying is sold by a 3rd party - even if that 3rd party is a reputable store like Target, they will get your address. As for keeping your address safe and still getting stuff from 3rd party Amazon sellers, have the item shipped to a PO box, a male friend or family member or if you live in an apartment - to the apartment office. Yes, they'll know what apartments you live in but city and state you're is already displayed by Amazon and if they're stalkers, they can sometimes figure out where you live based on your surroundings while you're on cam.
If you really want to avoid the paranoid feelings, ask for an Amazon.com gift card or prepaid Visa/Mastercard/Discover/American Express gift card.
Re: Wishlist w/ hidden mailing address?
^ that's because you had the 'enable information for third-party shippers' or something similar checked. If you leave that box unchecked, then you -have- to make sure that whatever you add to your wishlist is sold and shipped from Amazon.com, not another company or store.
TD, I checked with them I think wednesday? So I'll try to get clarification, but that's what I was told. I'll look through my account to see if I can find more info

No..thats not true, I had it on private but even on MFI it says certain parties on amazon DO share your contact information with the buyer so basically do it at your own risk...and I did have mine as private and still some got my address through certain products through different stores on amazon, others not. It depends on what store its coming from on amazon whether they will share your information or not.
Re: Wishlist w/ hidden mailing address?
So I know that this is an old thread, but I'm trying to figure something out and can't, and hate posting new threads when there are related threads available.
Does anyone know if Yandy.com's wishlist is secure? I use Amazon (ONLY Amazon products) and Edenfantasys, and love both, but Yandy has some AWESOME stuff that I'd love to be able to get (sexy Chewbacca costume ftw). Does anyone know about this? If it's been posted, I apologize; I've tried searching, and couldn't find it. :-(
Re: Wishlist w/ hidden mailing address?
Just to clarify that if you use Amazon, even selling Amazon only products (not third party) then the buyer still gets your city/state. If you use third party as well then they get your entire address.
Re: Wishlist w/ hidden mailing address?
If a guy can't even take your ass private he doesn't need your Amazon address. The only reason guys ask is so they can find out WHERE YOU LIVE. Also it doesn't matter if you put " private" they can still get your city and state. What's worse is when guys have cancelled an order on purpose for the sole desire of getting your exact address. Don't do it. Tell them to give you a gift card and leave it at that. If you don't care about some guy showing up at your door step then have at it. You may make a new friend. If you have a P.O. Box still that guy could be waiting for you to pick up your mail unless you have some special forwarding set up to an address out of state.
Re: Wishlist w/ hidden mailing address?
I use this site:
http://shop.livecamnetwork.com/wl_re...LiveCamNetwork
My wishlist:
http://shop.livecamnetwork.com/wishl...wlid=LCN-Innes
It's basically made for camgirls who don't want to give out their address :)
Re: Wishlist w/ hidden mailing address?
Oh... I didn't know that they could cancel an order to get your address.
I don't care if they know my city. It's a city that's big enough (both population-wise AND geographically) that they'd be hard-pressed to find me given just my city. I also don't use third party vendors, and I don't accept Amazon as payment. I guess I'll have to look into that, though. My regulars like getting me stuff from the wishlist. :-(
So other than the issues with Amazon, that still leaves my original question unanswered. Does anyone know if Yandy.com's wishlist is secure?
Re: Wishlist w/ hidden mailing address?
I believe it is safer to create a wishlist with an online adult store. They may not have all of the electronics, high end items, clothing, etc. that you could put on your list if using a site like Amazon, but they are more concerned with customer privacy than Amazon would be. I don't want to self promote so I won't put the link here, but I run a white-label adult store. I contacted the manager about this very question. The wishlist option on the site is geared towards cam models and they understand how dangerous it could be if a customer gained access to the cam models address. The only thing visible to the customer when purchasing from a wishlist on my site is the cam model user name (alias) and the items on the wishlist. I would assume most other adult sites would take similar precautions.
Re: Wishlist w/ hidden mailing address?
Okay, so I emailed Yandy's support. "If you send someone your wishlist and they purchase it for you they will need to have an address to send it to."
So for the sake of camgirls, Yandy is not an option, since like ThinkGeek, the customer has to put in the address. This is all I needed to know.
Re: Wishlist w/ hidden mailing address?
What visa/mastercard service do you use for giftcards? I want my address to be secured as possible and this opinion is a good idea! Only e-mail address is what they need to know (and nothing more) for sending the giftcards?

Cherryblossom, you always speak the truth! :D
My response is always the same in these wish list threads. It's not a risk I want to take, so I stay away from using wish lists. I prefer to just get an e-gift card to my alternate e-mail address, and/or be tipped the regular way with MFC tokens.
Better safe than sorry! It was creepy enough having a guy on MFC (who I know in real life) blurt out "You used to work at _____" in public chat. *facepalm*
I know someone once suggested that you just add an item you want to a wish list for the sole purpose of the guy seeing what item(s) you want, but have it so that he CAN'T buy the item directly from the wish list. He just e-mails you the e-gift card instead so that you can buy the item for yourself. Or fuck it...just go on Twitter and post an image of the item you want, and tell them what e-mail address they can send the e-gift card to.
