Okay so... I've been talking to the same member. Apparently he contacted chase bank to ask about a "girlfriend" becoming an authorized user, rather than a joint account. By being an authorized user, I have no liability whatsoever because I did not sign contracts. So basically if he's in debt, I am not responsible. He is responsible for any purchases I have. When I asked why he didn't want to do gifts or ecards, he said he loved the idea of me having full control. That if I made a purchase, he was under my control on whether I'd make more.
IF I was to do this, my purchases would not be near my hometown(~30mins), so he would not see my local address. I'm just curious if anyone else has been in this situation? Or know enough information?
It sounds appealing, I'm just worried about getting in legal trouble, although it does not seem apparent.
