Streamate has been SO glitchy for me! Like no one can see me/hear me/go prvt/etc. One thing after another. I actually havent worked there in over a week cuz its not worth it to wrestle with tech issues. Thank god for back up sites....
Of course it's not legit. Support doesn't have people actually checking these pages. If the page is reported, they might do something about it. But otherwise, it will remain there until the studio gets sick of using it or the girl takes legal action (which isn't likely).
I also remember reading here that it's best to limit your messages to one issue at a time. As in, send an email about the encoder problems and then maybe wait a few hours and send them a separate message about making your photo static. They don't do well with messages where you ask them about multiple things.
maybe im naive about how things work but thats kinda sad. they cant multi-task and/or remember to do two things in a row?
I've gotten a lot of fuckers asking exactly where I live this week. I think it's because that "dating site" SM got going on. Can you say KICK and BAN?

I think they have specific people to deal w/ specific issues. Plus, they don't usually READ the message anyway, just skim for keywords. That's why we get the stupid answers we get half the time that have nothing to do w/ the question we asked.
It's pretty simple, just send multiple e-mails. Not that hard.
Yeah, lately I've been getting disconnected from public chat. Maybe it's a blessing in disguise that I can't get a Gold Show going, because MAN, would I be pissed if I got disconnected in the middle of one and NOT GET PAID!
I think e-mailing Vanessa and/or Liz might be better than e-mailing SM in general? It seems like those particular ladies are more on top of things than the general SM Model Support. At least when I e-mail one of those ladies, I don't get the annoying copy/paste responses.
The person you ladies are talking about actually has 3 accounts. Having one solo and one couple account I can understand. But I'm not sure why she's allowed two solo accounts.
Edit: Seems her older account is just for voyeur. I've emailed SM about opening account like that before, but never got a reply back.
Yeah, I don't remember exactly what is was that I had contacted her about, but she was still super nice about it. I think with everyone knowing that she's the faster responder that she may have become a little overwhelmed.

And you know what irritated the crap out of me??? I was doing a TV Gold Show and someone asked where I was from, I said "the Dallas area" the producer sends me a message saying "Do not give out personal information". I"m like WTF? So, since my screen name is Sexy Texan, wouldn't that be a violation of that rule to begin with??? Now I can't say I'm from Dallas????

Alright, something's up... I was just taken to private and after a few seconds it sounded like a person left. I asked the guy if he was still there and he said "yes" then it sounded like another person left... I checked again to make sure he was still there and then suddenly I get -User name has logged off- but the person never "logged on". What the hell just happened?? 1 person came in and it sounded like 3 people left.
I wish they would tell the guys "Do not ask for personal information". That'd be awesome.
I had something like that happen, too except I was in free and my Premium red blinking light came on, like someone was there. I clicked on it to open the room, and it just showed '*name* has logged off'. I looked in my earnings and nothing was there. I remember him being in my free chat, but there was never a "person entered your pvt" sound or 30-sec countdown, so I don't know what happened. It may have just been a glitch in both of our cases.
This has happened to me... I think I read somewhere on another thread that it's mobile users? It doesn't show them logged on but all of a sudden it makes the exit noise and says "so and so has logged off" or whatever.
I still see them in my earnings if they stay past 30 sec.
Can I ask you ladies what you have your encoder bitrate and frame rates set to? My encoder and video were perfect and now something's gone and messed it all up. I don't remember what I had them at before I downloaded SM's recommended XML file (which the encoder doesn't entirely accept for some reason).
Happens to me all the time. Every day. But I have NEVER been paid for a single one of those customers. I've also had customers whose names get "stuck" & it shows them as being in pvt still even when they're not (you'll know b/c they can't be kicked out). Had one stay for 7 minutes once & I wasn't paid. And yes, my understanding is that it's an error in the iphone/ipad app.
And no, I didn't just post a freebie tip for custies. They don't actually SEE anything, just an error message.
Oh I have no idea. Maybe none of mine have ever stayed past the free mark, ya know? I mean, if they're getting an error, why would they? But maybe yours are for some reason. Half of figuring out SM is guesswork & detective work. SMH
An MFC regular visited me on Streamate this afternoon and tipped 20 Gold, and then another 30 Gold (to make it a total of $50 for 20 custom pics). The 30 Gold tip made that cool "Ahhhhh" sound. :) I got 2 new tippers today, and a new guy went exclusive. This is an improvement from my last few days on SM, so yay!
