i am thinking of playing music to see any difference in cash flow
..but i do not have an MP3 Player or Stereo:-\
but i have tons of music on my comp ::) but streaming with encoder AND playing music might 'eff my whole laptop system..so im trying to avoid that
if u do, how do u play ur music and which method sounds better on mic?
i dont want it blasting or interfering with my speaking capabilities
I make more money when I play music, period! It draws more of a crowd because I'm moving and dancing and not just sitting there looking bored. Also, I think the music I tend to play makes the guys even hornier and they can't help but take me private *lol*
I have an ipod touch and I make playlists to play on cam. Sometimes I will even take song requests for tips! I just hook the ipod up to my computer and stream the music through itunes. I've never had any complaints about sound quality thus far :)

oo thanks thanks!
so streaming the music through Itunes doesnt effect ur camming quality?
or slow down ur comp?
Re: Playing Music in Shows
Oh, just wanted to add: Please choose the music you play carefully, because if you play music that is loud or annoying, you can actually LOSE customers. So keep in mind what types of customer base you appeal to. Are the majority of your customers older gentleman, or do you draw the younger crowd? Are they white? black? international? All of these factors are things you should consider when it comes to choosing the music you would like to play, but you should also play something that YOU like and that energizes you and makes you feel sexy! :D
Re: Playing Music in Shows
I use Windows Media Player on my laptop, and I put together a playlist I call 'Sexy Cam Music.' :P
I think that cam shows are sexier when you have on music you really enjoy. And it's really cool to do ass-clapping to "Bootylicious" (Destiny's Child). ;D
I used to love playing music from YouTube, but YouTube will fuck up your camming big time, so I wouldn't recommend it while camming.

Re: Playing Music in Shows
i use Opera..but thinking of switching to Google Chrome
i use a laptop and streaming with the encoder makes it choppy sometimes
and someone told me that getting a faster browser could help a little too

hmmm... i dont think the quality would come out very good that way. But, have you considered looking on ebay for an ipod speaker boombox? you can find some new ones for pretty cheap and some used ones for even cheaper :D

Any cam issues I may have usually isn't because of Windows Media Player. It could mean I need to close out a program or two (a program that has a bunch of images up or something), or my phone needs charged (I use my new phone's Mobile HotSpot for internet), or MFC is being shitty as usual.
MFC is always screwed up, and even the guys in your room will tell you when MFC has been acting up.
By the way, even browsing the MFC homepage (to see which models are online) can mess with your cam. I've done it before and noticed my cam fucking up, so I had to close out the MFC homepage and check it out at a later time.

Actually, the best thing would be to use a CD player that's in your bedroom or something like that. I'm old-school, so I don't do iPods and all that stuff...I still use CD players (it's actually a karaoke machine w/a CD player). :P If you had a CD player or something like that, it'd just be better to play your music that way.
My CDs have been skipping lately in my CD player though. I'll try cleaning it.
Re: Playing Music in Shows
HAHA..

i dont understand the whole Itunes thing on an Ipod

Re: Playing Music in Shows
I use Pandora. It's about $40 a year for commercial free music. Works great and does not slow down my pc.
Re: Playing Music in Shows
Grooveshark.com
Works just like Pandora or Rhapsody but its free.
You can make playlists or whatever song you can think of or just use there radio stations.
I used it when i cammed and it didn't mess up anything on my laptop.
Re: Playing Music in Shows
I usually end up turning my music down during my shows, especially if I'm doing phone. I can't hear myself think.

I do too. I use it more as a tool of "enticement" and building up excitement in my room then in my actual private shows, but sometimes I do leave it on for group to give it more of a "party" feel lol
Re: Playing Music in Shows
Does anyone use live365.com for music? how does it work while camming??
Re: Playing Music in Shows
I love pandora / last.fm but run into the super lag issue if i try to cam and listen.
My alternatives
1. music via the wii (lags the net less)
2. music via pandora on my phone
3. borrow the boy's ipod and plug my computer speakers into it
I wish i could just listen the the radio but *sigh* local advertisements
Re: Playing Music in Shows
Does anyone have subscription to Rhapsody ? I want to download songs the legal way and I saw Rhapsody offers monthly subscription for only $10 to download unlimited songs to go on whatever audio system using. I just been using my stereo for now and import songs from CD I already have but I need the ability to search for songs and play type of music customer may request to hear. If anyone know of something other than Rhapsody, that offers set monthly fee please let me know I prefer around the similar price to Rhapsody. I may just stick with Rhapsody since they offer the good price deal :)
Off related
I just love NetFlick for movies I just got subscription to that :)

Grooveshark is free and basically the same thing. They have like every song out there and you can search. Make playlist or listen to there radio which just picks songs from that era. {Personally love the 90's alternative station}
Netflix is all i watch. Worth every penny.
{You can't download music but it can be easily pirated from it.}

I heard about Grooveshark, and I do right now have free account on that site with a good playlist of songs that I listen to when I can't sleep, but I would like to able to download songs to go on i-pod me using stream music slow down my computer while on cam. I prefer to do legal download way although I used to do it pirate just don't want to keep taking chances of being caught doing it.
Re: Playing Music in Shows
I use my ipod and plug it into my computer. I do it because it keeps me entertain and in a good mood. Therefore, I'm happier and clients like that as a result more privates :).
