Escorting- Hiring a screening assistant
Hello! i have been considering hiring someone to help me screen.
+ It would be great to have this taken off of my shoulders and be able to spend my time doing something else.
- This is my safety, i do feel nervous about handing it over to someone else. Also i dont know how customers would feel about not actually speaking to me though email and instead to an assistant
What do you guys feel about this? what are your experiences?
I have had maybe companies get in contact with me however, i think best way to find one is through word of mouth.
If you have anyone that you have been working with for a long time, is trusted by you and you would like to recomend etc please contact me through pm. :)
Re: Escorting- Hiring a screening assistant
I do my own screening and prefer it that way because my clients book for long blocks of time. If I dont think we will mesh, I will turn down the booking.
How much time per day are you dedicating to screening? Perhaps I could make some suggestions to streamline the process.
Re: Escorting- Hiring a screening assistant
Hi Tabitha! I love your schtick. I like the idea of a screener, but I agree with Tabitha. Some screeners are very strict and a bit too strict for my likings as well. I am with TG on the screening thing. I can be very creative in getting information when I need it. I work in a hard market and don't want to turn down everyone because they gave me provider references who aren't reference friendly.
Re: Escorting- Hiring a screening assistant
I work with a screener. I looked at a couple different business options that ranged from $250-400/week, looked at what they did, and then had a chat with one of my friends who has time on his hands, and is likely to be more strict on screening than I am in terms of googling references to see what reputation they have, and not just trusting references at their word. I still do some screening when it's board-based, but since I do a lot of P411, I have him do it. I hate being glued to a computer and I was starting to get really snippy because I felt like I had to be at the computer to juggle getting screening invites, doing the screening, doing the screening again for references who wouldn't respond, and then logging the responses in my notes so I could refresh my memory on the guy.
I do all my own personal correspondence though so I agree with wanting to match up the personalities at least a little bit. I love having a screener. I feel like I can have a life where I'm not constantly checking my accounts over my phone while out and about.
He also is spreadsheeting my guys so I can contact those in certain cities when I circle back during a tour, and he's my call-in/call-out person.
Re: Escorting- Hiring a screening assistant
^Thats what i want, to not be glued to the computer.
He sounds like he's a good screener
Re: Escorting- Hiring a screening assistant
I have a screener who's also a guy. We should get them together for drinks!
Dave updates my ads (I f'in hate doing that), screens, checks references and answers my email. My initial communication is by email, so having him do it isn't a big deal and he's actually way more strict about deleting one-liners and guys who don't address me nicely. Once they pass him, I call them and confirm over the phone. My volume is low enough that having a one hour appointment turn into a two or three hour appointment isn't a big deal and I let him know if that's the case so the schedule can be adjusted.
I actually like having a guy do it because I know for damn certain he's not going to steal my clients.

You get alot of biz thru p411? I don't do much business thru them. Wonder what I am doing wrong. :-\
Re: Escorting- Hiring a screening assistant
^might not be a huge NY market. For example, CA doesn't really have a P411 market.
So you might be better off with eros, R2K, datecheck, or whatever.
It's pretty big in Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana. Not sure about other states. Lesser degree in AZ, non-existant (to me) in CA.
