Re: To be reviewed..or not deal with reviews..that is the question!
Just a bit of an update to my previous post.
On TER it appears there is no longer "delisted" providers. They have brought back the profiles that had been previously taken down. They are now listed under "Classic Reviews" with the ad links and contact information striped from the profile.
Edited to add: TER has changed its mind about the "Classic Reviews" after getting negative feedback from its members. They took them down and are re-evaluating.
Re: To be reviewed..or not deal with reviews..that is the question!
hmmm.
i'm a fresh newbie still doing all the research i can and currently preparing to post my very first ad. i had planned on investing in an eros ad, but now i'm kind of worried it won't be worth it. i don't plan on posting on backpage as...it's not really the style i'm going for (at least with what it looks like in my city).
i have a domain, and i'm slowly working on perfecting my site, but that's going to take a little bit of time, so i was hoping to get away with just an eros ad for the time being. i have sexy but not trashy professional photos in my ad. i'm still perfecting the copy part of the ad. i'm marketing myself as a VIP GFE.
as a newbie, i have no reviews. i have a basic membership on TER, and i've read bits and pieces of reviews (only the parts they show for free), but a lot of the reviews are so vulgar!! i would not be entirely comfortable with my "services" being straight up listed. ...but i guess if i need to depend on TER for business/advertising, then i need to depend on reviews. on that note, do providers need to purchase a VIP account on TER to get the most out of the site, or is there a way to prove i am a provider, or..... the site is a little confusing to me.
anyway, can someone please tell me that as a newbie with an incomplete website, no reviews, yet a polished eros ad, i'm not completely SOL?

If you register properly with TER as a provider you will get what is known as limited VIP. That means you will be able to read your own reviews and also send and receive PM's. I'm not absolutely certain how you go about it but you should go to the newbie board on the site and look for the link for the "self-help guide". It will answer a lot of questions for you abut how the site works. Being able to post a weekly ad on TER will put you out there to guys who write reviews and may help you get reviewed sooner.
An Eros ad is not a waste of money but, in my opinion, paying the extra money for a VIP listing is. Most guys know that the "VIP" status doesn't really mean anything on Eros. How much effort you put into your website is of course up to you. As I mentioned in a previous post, a woman without reviews has more legitimacy, at least to me, if she has a well put-together site.

Advertise anywhere you can. Not just Eros. New talent needs maximum exposure. Don't bother with a VIP ad on Eros. Get a regular ad and pay for top listing if you're in a heavily populated category. Talk to the sales reps about discounts and the most popular categories.
Don't rule out BP. Its more about how the copy is written.
Don't worry too much about reviews- clients will understand you're new.
Have a high-class, easy to understand website. Make it clear on how to contact you (email, phone, text), what behavior you find acceptable, what kind of clients are you looking for (short term, long term). NEVER be too wordy.
Let them know what kind of experience you offer; some clients want a wild, slutty porn star type, others want a lady they can take with them on vacation. You have to decide what persona you want to display. You cannot be everything to everyone and all types make money.
If you're using an escort template site, STOP NOW. It's the mark of a scam artist or low-class escort. If you cannot afford a programmer, design your own on moonfruit or wix.
If you have those things in place...yes, you will be ok.
