c910 or pro 9000 which one should I get?
Atm I use a camcorder, but I don't really like it anymore, because its angle of view is too narrow. Seriously I have some simple webcam and that is even better as for the angle of view. I should place my tripod with the camcorder like 2 meters away from my bed and I think that is ridiculus.
I want to have the cam close to the screen as that looks better.
So now I would like to buy a webcam, untill I can get a great, new ( and expensieve :( ) camcorder.
Which one should I buy? I'd like to have one with a simple software. I use windows.

Re: c910 or pro 9000 which one should I get?
i have a logitech quickcam pro 9000. i luv it! and it is very easy and simple to use. i can't say much about the other one but the 9000 is EXTREMELY EASY to use and set up. i don't think that is gets much simpler than that, plus it seems like alot of camgirls have the 9000. it is very clear and very mobile and i have never had any problems with it at all.

Re: c910 or pro 9000 which one should I get?
I think you'll be fine, no matter which you choose. From all of the webcam posts I've ever read, those seem to be the TOP TWO recommended webcams. I have the Logitech HD C910, and I love it. At first I didn't like the fact that the self-timer only gives you like 3 seconds before snapping your picture, but I'm used to that now. :P

Re: c910 or pro 9000 which one should I get?
I have the c910 myself, and it's fantastic. I've heard great things about the other one as well. Just as important, make sure your laptop/desktop has enough processing power and memory to handle the cameras as they both use a lot of system resources.

Re: c910 or pro 9000 which one should I get?
I have them both and I prefer the 910, but only by a small margin. Both are pretty great.

Re: c910 or pro 9000 which one should I get?
I have 2.61 GHz CPU and 2 GB RAM. Thinking about getting more RAM cause of an online game thou. Do you think that would be fine with the c910? I found c910 for the same price as pro 9000 in an online shop.

Re: c910 or pro 9000 which one should I get?
I have a 910 and I like it. Upgraded from a 500, so I definitely cannot complain. I do have a question sorry to thread-jack. Is there a method you ladies use to get it to sit on its own (like on the floor)?

I believe you get a tripod, a 3-legged stand & put it on that.^

If you want to check your processor speed and power on a PC, go to the Start Menu and right click my computer. Click properties, and under the General tab you should see your GHz and RAM. You can also check the task manager by ctrl-alt-del to see how much memory a program is using.

Re: c910 or pro 9000 which one should I get?
teebaby, i have a foot stool that i use to prop the cam on sometimes and i get great angles that way. just get creative and experiment to see what works and see what stuff you got around your house to prop your cam on...sometimes the most interesting angles come from the objects that you wouldn't normally think to use.

Your processor seems to be fine as long as it's at least dual core (although a quad core realllllly makes it good) and I think at least 3 to 4 gigs of RAM. Windows alone uses about a gig of RAM.

Yep it's dual core. I was looking into the quad cores as well, but decided to leave it as it was. Now if it is required I will update my pc, afterall it sounds better to upgrade because of work than upgrade cuz maps in the game will load faster lol. 8)

Re: c910 or pro 9000 which one should I get?
I have a pro 900 it's my first webcam so I don't know if I would be able to assist you in making a decision. I think someone pointed out that they bought the 910 and saw every blemish and decided to return it. Now that's HD! If I had to go back I would've gotten the 910 just for looks. lol

Re: c910 or pro 9000 which one should I get?
Okay, I bought the c910, because it was the same price as the 9000 in other shops. And this shop also offered same day delivery, so I'm trying to set it up right now.
I have one more question. Since this is a super cool HD webcam, I don't have to use encoders and other magic tricks to get the HD icon, right? :P

The software on the CD handles the 720p stream. Of course, whatever site you model on will need to be HD compliant for it to work. I'm on MFC, and it only supports stand 480i standard 4:3 resolution. But the camera still shoots standard definition very well.

Re: c910 or pro 9000 which one should I get?
Holy shit! This webcam is wonderful. I love it! It is as sharp and nice as it wasn't even me on the screen. :D However I will need a bit heavier make up because it is not so "forgiving".
I think I will be in love with the "follow my face" as well. And yes, its software is pretty easy to use.
Thank you girls! :)

I'd skip the follow my face, it can be very quirky. I hope they release a good firmware update for it at at some point... but as for now, not so good unless you are doing minimal movement, which of course is generally not the case doing what we do.

Re: c910 or pro 9000 which one should I get?
Let me tell you...it's a BIG difference going from Logitech E3500 (Yikes!) to Logitech HD C910! I love my webcam. :)

Re: c910 or pro 9000 which one should I get?
I've decided I'm ordering one of these suckers today (been having money issues lately and putting it off) Which in turn is probably losing me money on the other side.
Anyone use this with their MAC???
<loosely related rant>
The Logitech i have now isn't compatible and my PC was top of the line 5years ago which means its old as dinosaur dirt in the computer world and i hate sharing my 'working' computer with my boyfriend who thinks the computer are just a facebook, porno machines.

Re: c910 or pro 9000 which one should I get?
They have it on Amazon for 69.99 or someone is selling a refurbed one for 56.58 with free shipping. Way worth the price.

Re: c910 or pro 9000 which one should I get?
I'm going to upgrade, but I did comparison on logitech.com, getting the C 525 for 59.

Re: c910 or pro 9000 which one should I get?
Lol I got it for like 90 dollars and that was cheap here. Other shops sold it for like 120 dollars. Funny thing is that, the minimum wage in this country is like less than 300 dollars and so many things are much more expensieve than in the western countries or in US. I usually buy clothes, and such things from abroad I just could not wait with this cam, I became too grumpy.
Still trying to figure out some things thou. I used it today on skype and sometimes it zoomed in on its own or switched to macro focus on its own. Idk why, I had switched auto focus and face following off, I didn't even move, just sat there and talked and didn't even touch the keyboard or the mouse .
I just noticed several times, that my image went all blurry, or suddenly it showed my face from a close distance instead of my half body like 2 seconds before... Idk why, fortunately it was my fiance not some paying costumer and he found it funny. Well me not really I was cursing like some old gypsy.
But I still like it. I have hazel eyes, or at least I think that is the right word. My language does not have a word for it. They have greenish, greyis, brownish but after all "nothing" colour. With my previous cam they looked like nothing interesting with this one I can see that they actually have some pretty nice colour.
