ATTN: Guys between 5'9"-6'1" with a somewhat skinny build, what is your shirt size?
Fairly skinny guys (between 150-160 lbs) between 5'9"-6'1", what size would you wear in a typical 100% cotton band/ concert T-shirt? The brand is Hanes if that matters at all.

Medium. I'm no longer that skinny unfortunately (need to get back into fighting shape!) and prefer a looser fit with t-shirts so go with Large these days.

medium fits perfect before a wash.

^after a wash is it tighter around your midsection or just shorter (or both?)
Thanks for asking this OP, my fiance never knows his size so I guestimate (ugh especially button ups... if you all want to provide insight into that, please do!). He is 6'4 though but around 160-170lbs so Ill be subscribing to this!

both, the sleeves get a little too tight as well and will ride up my arms sometimes. I love the fit of a medium white tee before its washed but after a wash its just too small though makes a great undershirt. The large will eventually shrink down to a good fit for me. As for brands calvin klein > polo > jockey > hanes
for dress shirt sizes just have him go to a department store and have someone there measure his size

Lucid, how tall are you, what is your weight, and about how broad would you say your shoulders are?

You will need his selve length also, especially at 6'4". If you do not get a tall, the sleves will almost certainly be too short.
The best thing to do is measure him.

5'9" and 6'1" is quite a range......
5'9" and thin/skinny.....(160 and less) medium
anything taller and a medium will probably be too short.

My bf is 5'8" and about 130 - 140 lbs. He wears a medium. If that helps at all. He's a bit smaller than you are looking for but close :p

I'm 6'0" and 150 lbs. I would say medium works best, although it can be too short ~20% of the time.

I'm just over 6'0", 170lbs. For tee shirts I always wear large. For short sleeve collared shirts, like polo shirts, I wear medium.

I'm 5'11 and about 170 pounds a wear a large. Mediums look way too short. I don't like the look of shirts riding along the hip line.
