Amazon Wishlist - DON'T USE!!
Just a word of warning
I set up a Amazon wishlist last night and ensured that all of the items were sold by Amazon. According to the Amazon website "This address is confidential and will not be seen by anyone purchasing a gift for you where Amazon is the seller."
What they DON'T tell you is that the person will still be able to see your Dispatch to name, town, and County (State). It is literally only the building number which is kept confidential!
Luckily I set mine up in a relative's name and address (they live nearby). Just be careful ladies! I had no idea - had such a row with Amazon this morning!!!
My list was set up for a specific item from a trusted regular so I'm not too worried in this case but it could have been pretty serious!

Re: Amazon Wishlist - DON'T USE!!
you can set it to remain anonymous- where when the guy pays he just sees your name- which i have a fake name up anyway- you don't have to put your legal name. i believe it gives you the option right on the page. i have heard of some girls getting p.o. boxes for sake of confidentiality.

Re: Amazon Wishlist - DON'T USE!!
BritishBecky, I have parcels dispatched to my fake real name, and where it asks for town, I put the county, then for county I put country. The town goes in line 2 of the address which isn't visible :)

Re: Amazon Wishlist - DON'T USE!!
@catgirl - yes I'm talking about a glitch in the anonymous settings - of course I had it set up as anonymous! @GlitteryGoddess - that would be the only way to do it - to put the info in the wrong boxes - I just didn't realise we had to when it said clearly that it would remain confidential :(
-
Re: Amazon Wishlist - DON'T USE!!
of course then they would still see the county - no biggy but I'd rather they didn't!

This is really clever... I'll remember this, thank you.

Re: Amazon Wishlist - DON'T USE!!
i had to take down my amazon wishlist because a customer was able to get my address from the third party seller. lucky for me, he was not a serial killer but because he was someone trustworthy, he immediatly bought it to my attention.
amazon says your info is confidential but the buyer CAN track down the package by calling UPS because after all, they ARE the buyer. UPS cannot say, "im sorry sir but I cant tell you where the package YOU purchased is going to."
if the guy is crazy enough, he can dig and def can get your info.

Yes he can, and I have heard of this happening. Wishlists are not safe. Don't underestimate how obsessed some of these guys are.
If they can not email a gift card I don't accept gifts.

Re: Amazon Wishlist - DON'T USE!!
What about the inbuilt shops on some cam sites, like the AW wishlist?
-
Re: Amazon Wishlist - DON'T USE!!
Do not accept gifts. Regardless of how and where they can be bought.
Do not sell real items that have to be mailed out.
Never.
does the extra pair of shoes and the extra $50 gift card worth your life?

Re: Amazon Wishlist - DON'T USE!!
I've bought something from another cam girl via the aw shop before, but never had any gifts from anyone (cheap fuckers lol). Think I'll take down my aw wishlist x

Re: Amazon Wishlist - DON'T USE!!
Wow thanks I'm never making a wishlist!

Re: Amazon Wishlist - DON'T USE!!
If you only choose items that are shipped directly from Amazon or "fulfilled by Amazon", your real shipping address will not be disclosed. It is only when you choose 3rd party sellers that it is shared with the sender.

I wish that were true. Some of these obsessed guys will try to call UPS and get your info that way.

Re: Amazon Wishlist - DON'T USE!!
Why not just get a P.O. box? That way you don't have to stress about them being able to call and get your address.

nope - this is exactly what I did - the items were all sold by Amazon directly and they still show the town and county and dispatch to name. My whole argument with Amazon is that they SAY it's confidential, but in practice it isn't! Maybe it's a UK thing?

Then that becomes a UPS issue, not a fault of Amazon. If a guy were crazy enough to contact the shipper to figure out who you are, he could easily stalk your mailman/your mailbox and get the info alot quicker. I think its pretty safe to say that if you have someone with that mindset that is obsessed with you, Amazon is the least of your worries. Also, it is much easier to find out exactly who someone is through their IP.

Your "name" (fictitious or not) as well as your city state is revealed in the info in your public profile there. You could send packages to Minnie Mouse for all Amazon cares and it doesnt matter as long as the shipping address you have on file with them is valid. If youre concerned with a valid breach in your personal security (like them revealing ALL of your info to someone after you specifically chose an item non 3rd party) double check their TOS & contact them immediately and demand an answer as to why this happened to you.

Re: Amazon Wishlist - DON'T USE!!
I had the same problem too. The issue i'm having now is that my cam name is obviously not my real full name there fore the mail room in my building will not let me pick up mail nor will whatever shipping service it comes from. How can I get around this? Even opening up a po box requires a real id which will only let you pick up mail with your name on them right? The only thing I can think of besides asking someone to let me use their name and mailing address is to get a fake id with my cam name and then go get a po box. Seems a bit much, does anyone know a better solution

Re: Amazon Wishlist - DON'T USE!!
^ Go to a UPS Store or something similar and get a box there, don't go to the post office. The smaller stores don't really care and will let you put your stage name on the box and pick up mail under that name. If the first one you go to says they can't do it, try another store. The stores like that are independently owned so you will find one that won't make you use your real name, your money is just as green as everyone else's. Just tell them that you have an online alias, you don't have to say that you're a nude webcam performer. Hope that helps :)

yup - they disclosed my shipping address (except for the building number) - I phoned CS and they said that it has clearly been disclosed (even though Amazon was the seller) and that they are looking into why this happened with their tech team.
Like prettygreeneyes said - it's best to get a box and that's def something I would do in the future!
