This wishlist bullshit is a common scam that these guys pull. I'm gonna sound like a broken record since I just posted about this earlier, but I don't mess with Amazon wishlists. Customers can find out your shipping address (in certain circumstances). And I prefer getting gift cards that I can spend when I feel like spending it.

Re: Amazon Wishlist - DON'T USE!!
a bit of a threadjack
these gift cards are valid only on amazon.com or also on co.uk or .de? i mean, is there a unique account when you logged to amazon.com you can use the same account to buy from .co.uk or not?

Re: Amazon Wishlist - DON'T USE!!
You cannot use US gift cards on the UK site, or visa versa. And each site requires a separate account to purchase items.

Re: Amazon Wishlist - DON'T USE!!
I use a mail forwarding service that charges $10/month. Then I pay shipping plus a $2 forwarding fee. Yes, it's A LOT cheaper for me if I can get them to send me gift cards. However, it seems like some guys are more impulsive about buying off my wishlist than they are about sending gift cards. And I'm talking about when they want to "treat" me. I don't accept gifts as payment.
Some months it's really not worth me paying for a forwarding service, but other months I get lots of gifts. I suppose you have to decide what's best for you. Either way, I would never have my real address on my wishlist. And I would never accept gifts for payment.

The only thing I can think of besides asking someone to let me use their name and mailing address is to get a fake id with my cam name and then go get a po box. Seems a bit much, does anyone know a better solution
If you are super paranoid, like me, there are mailboxes and mail forwarding services you can use with your cam name. I live in Canada so it was a little harder to find but if you are in the U.S. it should be no problem. My box (which is not a p.o. box, it's an actual address, which helps because some places won't deliver to p.o. boxes) is in a different province than me actually, where my "persona" lives. They hold the mail, which is sent to your alias name or any name you choose and remail it to you when you decide. They even provide you with an address that looks like a real address, very personalized. Some have phone services and offices you can use if need be. You can use it for your business address. There is a bit of a cost but for me the roughly $30.00/mo. for peace of mind is worth it. To give you an example of a Canadian parcel service for people who need discretion is Accutype .net mailbox rentals. Hope that helps. I know there a tonne of these places in many different cities, you just have to find the cheapest one with the best features for your needs.

Re: Amazon Wishlist - DON'T USE!!
Mine is set up so they can choose an item(s) from my wishlist, then they purchase a gift card for the right amount and email it to me. The only info they ever have is my email. Less guys buy stuff for me this way because i suppose they might worry i won't actually buy the thing they choose or whatever, but I do still get stuff from the guys that REALLY wanted to treat me in the first place :) I always send them proof of purchase and usually a few snaps of me using or wearing the goodies :)

Re: Amazon Wishlist - DON'T USE!!
Yeah, I am too paranoid about an obsessive customer showing up at my doorstep, I only put e giftcards on my wishlist and my address isn't filled in.

Re: Amazon Wishlist - DON'T USE!!
The jackass claims that he doesn't know what I'm talking about. Anytime I see him online I block him. I contacted the cams customer service and had him blocked from my page. I don't need that bullshit. I'm not doing the wishlist anymore. If people want to do something for me or want a show they have no choice but to pay me money. There are too many scammers and freeloaders that I honestly am not interested in entertaining. There are enough people that know how this works. Who understand that when u log onto cams in order to receive exactly what u want you must dish out some money.

Re: Amazon Wishlist - DON'T USE!!
An update on MailLinkPlus, which is what I was using to forward packages. If you don't want them to dispose of your packaging when combining your items you have to TELL them not to. I recently received three pairs of shoes with no shoeboxes. I was livid! Two of the pairs don't fit right, but I can't return them now. I had to call them and specifically tell them that they can dispose of all packages except shoeboxes. I thought it was kind of common sense, but apparently most people don't like shoeboxes?
Anyway, I still have a couple months left on the service, but with the shipping cost to forward packages, and the experience I had with them disposing of boxes, I decided to switch to a company in the nearest large city to me. I will have to drive a ways to pick up my packages, but at least I won't have to pay shipping anymore. I think it will work out great. It doesn't bother me if the customers see the address of the package store.

Re: Amazon Wishlist - DON'T USE!!
ooh the dreaded wishlist nightmare. I took forever to set one up and I had so many guys asking 99% were the ones that couldn't tip anything on the site. So all I did was add a bunch of giftcards haha. No location at all. So when they go to my wishlist the only thing they'll have is my email address. Ooops were you trying to find out if I'm close enough to screw? Awww
I also used giftrocket a few times and all went through. All they needed was an email address.
The whole buying and cancelling thing has been going on for quiet some time. Those guys are notorious for pulling that stunt. They want the model's attention in a room similar to the guy that needs to send you a message and ask for you to check it while you're in the middle of a show.
Adult babies apparently.

Re: Amazon Wishlist - DON'T USE!!
I'd have to get a heck of a lot of gifts to justify that expense and gas driving to pick up things at a paid mail service or the forwarding fees. How do you even come out ahead?
With as few gifts that were actually bought when I did have one it would end up costing me money.

Re: Amazon Wishlist - DON'T USE!!
Not to hijack this thread, but what exactly do you ladies put on your wishlist? I've only looked through one model's list before and it seemed mostly related to stuff for her cam shows. Personally I don't intend to be doing camming for too long and I don't want to collect all these toys and sexy clothes that I'm not going to use beyond this summer so I put practical things on my list that I actually want like a new Nikon. Still, I get guys messaging me to add so and so toy to my list so he can buy it for me when all I want is the fucking Nikon!!!

I don't like it when a cam site member tries to tell me what sex toy to get. He is not the one who's gonna be putting that object inside their pussy...I am. I've always preferred the e-gift cards, because I can use them whenever I feel like it...when I know for sure what it is that I want. And I don't have to panic wondering if the buyer will somehow get my shipping info.
There are some members on MFC who just will not buy you an e-gift card, because they insist on buying an actual item instead. Even though part of me gets that, I still find that a little annoying...lol. I can think of three MFC members who just want to make me happy, so they would send the e-gift card...instead of giving me a hard time about it.

haha yeah i had a guy the other day insist on getting me things off my wishlist but he refused to send gift cards he said he just wanted a lady to spoil. i dont have an address on my amazon wishlist because of this scam thing and because i want ZERO chance of them finding me. most of the things i have on my wishlist are from amazon but some of the more expensive things arent i mainly use the wishlists for me to plan and have easy access to the things i want to buy later but if someone wants to get me a gift card ill use that money first obvi lol

My last two shipments cost me $30 total for about $500 worth of gifts. That was from the forwarding service. Plus, they just hold packages until I tell them to forward them, so I waited until I had enough to justify spending. There was one time I had to forward one item, a $30 bra, and it cost me $8 to ship. That wasn't really worth the hassle.
As for the gas to get to the mailbox I just bought, I got one in an area that I like to go to on my days off sometimes, and I told my man that we can do "date night" there. So we'll really only have to drive a few miles out of the way. If I do start receiving small gifts infrequently, I may decide it's no longer worth the expense.

I put things that I actually want, but I make them things that the guys find sexy too. I did have one guy who bought me the unsexy, functional things from my wishlist. But most of the time they buy me fancy dresses, bras, high heels. I do get a little irritated that they'd rather buy me $300 worth of clothes and shoes than contribute toward/buy a high-dollar item, but I really think it has more to do with them buying what THEY want to buy and not what I really need. So I add cute, sexy things (that don't have to be used only for "work"), then I save my giftcards to buy the larger items that the guys won't buy. Then I purchase the larger items for myself, from my own wishlist, so that it appears on my purchased items page. Just in case the guys look there ;)}:D

Ugh, that's so annoying! I thought the point of a wishlist was to spoil me and make me happy! At first I didn't mind getting toys since I'm new and I needed them to spice up my show but now I've got all the toys I want. Now when guys ask to see my wishlist the only thing I have listed is the camera that I want and e-gift cards. It's one or the other boys- you pick!

Re: Amazon Wishlist - DON'T USE!!
If you aren't really popular this probably wouldn't be worth it anyway. I thought of doing one but I doubt anyone would buy off of it. It would be nice though!!

I had been wondering about this. Recently I moved to the UK and had an american regular buy something off an old wishlist. Item was delivered to the po box that I forgot to cancel. So now Im wondering what to do about the stuff sitting in that po box? Would they forward me my mail if I call them or would I have to be there in person. And thats not gonna happen soooo

Re: Amazon Wishlist - DON'T USE!!
AW crap! I had some client who frequently contacts me through Skype and cell phone who has bought me something on Amazon. I mentioned him on this other thread I wrote.
I think I'm going to put more expensive practical stuff on my wishlist now too so it will actually be worth them knowing my location. May be I'll get a PO box address in the future too.

Re: Amazon Wishlist - DON'T USE!!
^^Don't put your REAL address on there. No amount of gifts is worth anyone online knowing your address.

Re: Amazon Wishlist - DON'T USE!!
Newbie here!! So you CAN make an Amazon wishlist with out putting an address and just your email? especially if you are only going to recieve egift cards? Just seeing if I missed something. Or do you set it up with other egift card site? any tips would help! thank you ladies! :)

Re: Amazon Wishlist - DON'T USE!!

Re: Amazon Wishlist - DON'T USE!!
This may be a dumb question.. If someone sends me an amazon (or other store) egiftcard via my email, is there any way at all that they could somehow find out where the things I buy with it were shipped to? Like, some ability for them to log into whatever and see "Recent orders/shipped to" etc from that card?
Also, do I need to set up a second Amazon account to receive e-gift cards, or can I just use the card info from my email in my regular account without them getting my information?
Thank you ladies for your help.

No, they can't find that out. That would be really shitty if e-gift card purchasers were able to find out that info. And no, you don't need to set up a second Amazon account. All you need to give the guy is your camming e-mail address (I'm assuming you have 2 e-mail addresses: one for your family/friends/stuff involving your real-life outside of camming, and a second one strictly for your camming/adult industry stuff). When he e-mails you the Amazon e-gift card, you look for the gift card's code, log in to your Amazon account, and apply the gift card amount (put in the code) to be used for a future purchase.

Amazon Wishlist-how do you know if you are being scammed?
Okay Ladies I need your help! I have looked here and on crooked client lists for other cam sites. I have this guy "Bobby" he has bought most of my wishlist up on Amazon and it shows in my purchased list, but how do I know if the guy is real while I wait for the stuff to arrive? Has anyone dealt with this? I usually just stick to my sites in exchange for skype show's but I know alot of Cam models get things sent to them. Help...
