Re: Amazon Wishlist-how do you know if you are being scammed?
If a guy buys me something off my wishlist, I take a few photos with me in it/using it. If they are a regular gift-buyer, I might send a sexy video of me in the gift/using the gift that I had planned to film and sell anyway. Gifts shouldn't be used as payment, they are just gifts.
I'm crossing my fingers that he did buy you stuff, but you don't owe him anything for doing it. :)

THanks... its one of those times I feel its too good to be true...
Re: Amazon Wishlist - DON'T USE!!
When people use to buy my gifts I had a webpage with a UPS store address. or a PO box that I paid up front for 2 years.
UPS Store would forward me the mail to my home address which made it easier then the PO box. the PO box sometimes wouldn't keep items sent to me if I took to long to pick them up but they were just a horrible PO box to start with.
but each gift that arrived I would only take a picture of me opening the gift saying thank you. I much rather get cash tributes and I buy whatever I want.
Re: Amazon Wishlist - DON'T USE!!
It's probably not a feature everywhere (especially if you're in the burbs), but I don't have an address on my amazon account. I use one of the Amazon lockers that's set up in a convenience store in my city. It basically works like a PO box specifically for Amazon purchases (except you don't have to pay for it). I've ordered things off amazon and had it shipped to that box using my fake/stage name and there was no issue. I was really, really paranoid about people being able to find me via my wishlist so this was a saving grace

When you pick up the package, how do they verify it's for you? Do you need to show an ID with your stage name?
Edited to add: I found the answer. No ID needed. This seems like a great option and I found that I do have several locker locations nearby and I live in the suburbs. Thanks for this suggestion.

How do you manage to get wishlist items delivered to an Amazon Locker? On my wishlist, I can't add a Locker as the address.

Damn it! I just assumed that Amazon would use my locker as my wishlist address because it's the only address I've got listed on my account but when I checked it says I don't have an address associated w my list :/
After a little digging I guess you CAN'T use the locker as a wishlist address which?? makes no sense but ok amazon idk why you hate privacy so much lol.
I guess to get around this you could just give the locker name/location to a custie who's trying to buy something. It gives them info on where you live (but not any more than a PO Box would I'm assuming) but at least you won't have to use your rl name. If you're really freaked out you can always choose a box that's further away from where you live so that if some crazy does decide to camp out in a convenience store, it won't be one you actually go to.
Re: Amazon Wishlist - DON'T USE!!
Doesn't (at least private ones) UPS offer 'fake' addresses when you open a PO Box with them? So if a stalker showed up, they'd be confused.

There are plenty of services that are good for physical privacy, but the problem is that they require two pieces of ID to add a name to the box. So you can't receive mail to a pseudonym. For those of us named Jane Smith, it's not as big of a deal, but my name is 100% unique in the whole world (thanks, parents!) so if a customer gets hold of it, my privacy is completely shot.
Re: Amazon Wishlist - DON'T USE!!
For a few years now I've been using a mailbox service. It's a privately-owned company with a street address. I gave them my real name, my business name & my performer name. They keep my information private & they know what I do. I pay a year at a time ($130 I think) for their smallest box. Whenever I get a package, they send me an email. They also offer packaging services, so when I send out panties or shoes, I can just do it from there. I'm also able to send all of my business' mail (like certified mail) from there. They accept USPS, FedEx & UPS deliveries. It's super easy & convenient. Maybe $130/yr seems high, but the cost is tax deductible if you're using it as your business address.
This might not be an option in a really small town, but I think most cities have these stores. It's safe & effective. The only problem I could ever foresee might be someone waiting for me there (the address is listed on my website), but I make sure to never tweet when I'm going to my mailbox & always post gift photos at different times of the day.

I have the same type of service and have used them for almost 8 years now. Its my all in one go to both sending and receiving.
