Hey ladies! I have been thinking of camming for the past couple months and I was wondering if there are any reasons you ladies might have for NOT to cam.
The main reason I can think of is if you dont want people you know finding out because there is a good chance they will. Also cam shows can be easily recorded and probably every cam girl will be recorded at some point and posted on one of those tube sites. If the thought of videos of yourself being on the internet forever bother you then dont cam!
yeah ... just people finding out about it. that's mostly it.
and the beggars / freeloaders :p
-People finding out, as in boyfriends, bosses, family, friends, your kid's friends parents...
-Have to lie to folks about what you do
-Weird customers can freak out more squeamish girls
-You are gonna learn how men REALLY think, yikes
-Oops now you cant run for president someday:P
Nothing prepares for those 2 things. NOTHING! Working in strip clubs for 10 years, Porn for 8 before I did camming. One would think I had heard or seen it all. NOT by a mile.
Knowing how men really think, jades you. Dealing with the freeloaders & beggers will jade you. You will lose a certain amount of innocence even when you don't have any.
Depraved is the word that comes to mind. Most are normal horny men, but the freaks are over the top freaks.
One guy asked me if I wanted to watch him shove a jar up his ass then shit in it. All for FREE... You couldn't pay me to watch another person do that.
Finding out almost all men are gay. Are deeply in the closet.
The hate, the pure hate. For no reason at all, other than all they do all day long is hate.
This job isn't easy. If you have a guy pushing into it saying how easy it is, he will never comprehend how draining this job is to do. Wish I could do it 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, but these men just want to much from you other than sex. They just pull it all out of you. Such needy bastards at times.
There is no way to prepare yourself mentally for this job.
Good Luck,
Sam
On MFC I saw you are able to block out whole states, wouldn't this help with people not recognizing you?
I agree with everything thats already been said and for me the only other add on would be never knowing how much you're going to make. One month you can make a great amount and the next its next to nothing. Makes it hard to budget or plan on anything if you cant guarantee how much you'll make. I'm hoping to be out of camming by winter and even though I know on good days I can make way more then most jobs I'll still be happy to go back to salary..not commision... where I know exactly how much I'll make lol
People finding out is always something to think about. Every time I post a picture on twitter, I wonder if a couple of retweets is going to end up sending that picture to the twitter feed of someone that knows me. Unlikely? Very. But still possible. Not to mention people recording you is always something to think about. Then you can end up on tube sites which no one wants and once again, someone you know may see you. Oh, and if you don't have pretty thick skin, this probably isn't something that you're going to like. Guys are dicks. Guys are fucking weird. You just gotta know how to blow it off.
You can be recorded and posted everywhere on any site. Blockzones are helpful I think but really you should count on being recorded and posted.
I think the best thing to do is disguise with really different makeup and a wig. You would be surprised how different you can look. I've taken pics and had a friend look and they could not tell it was me.
You need a lot of motivation. It takes a lot to get yourself to actually get on cam and then stay on cam, especially if the money is slow or the guys are dicks. Camming can have great earning potential, but only if you can convince yourself to actually go do it.
I stress about money. Shitty jobs are... well, shitty, but at least I always know how much I'm getting from them. It's a much more secure feeling... especially when that motivation is low and I know I'm not making anything.
So when these other sites post videos of you, you either have to find them yourself or have someone else inform you. Then you can contact the site and they will take these videos off the internet?
Sam38G, I love you:)
Thats not true lmao!....these men aren't normal.....these are the extremes
can you judge women by what u see on TV....these guys come online and are only paying because they cant get this in normal life.....after all if all men thought like these then I'd be getting fucked in the ass more than i ever heard b4.....none of my boyfriends have ever wanted or liked anal...." I was a Virgin Dammit!!!" lol b4 camming
You can, but if it's on a porn site, chances are it's been circulating on pirate forums and file-sharing sites as well. So it's a risk you take. You can try to prevent certain people from seeing you or finding out that you cam, you can disguise yourself and state-block to minimize the risk, but the risk is there regardless.
I don't worry about it too much in terms of my personal life so for me it's more a matter of principle. I don't like making it easy for pirates so if I find a video, I do something about it.
In sum: begin camming with the goal of working independently (or as close to it as possible), this requires a strong work ethic, realism, and patience. More control of your brand and more stable income. The allure of camming is that it is 'quick' so too many companies rely on this to attract new models without highlighting the risks. It takes time but it needs tobe viewed as a job or burnout, wild embarrassment, and your image everywhere-on-earth can be the result
Roast, how the heck do you have 10 girls SS#, address, and all that other stuff?
........................
If you buy licenses for other people's pictures, content, and videos (there are huge catalogues online, most cost like $15-20 per set, some sites sell them for much less, Ive seen 'free' licenses where you can 'purchase' sets for free and you STILL get a zipped folder of the model's information), they *have* to include the model's IDs and 2257 contracts. I have about 10 picture and video sets for a blog I run for affiliate money. I also use pic sets for PSO lines where I don't want to use my own image.
So you don't even need to own a site.
Most of the girl's info I have are of international girls, but Ive got a handful of US girl's SSN. Anyone with a credit card can do this, its not like I have a special in or anything. You don't even need a website - if you want to be a PSO who doesn't use her own pictures but want to legally use someone else's pictures you can do it.
Some of the girls are just models but some definitely cam and have done films. So sites do keep your image, not just for promo but to sell them for licensing purposes. Mostly the hi-res ones get sold since they cost more.
Remember when pornlaw kept saying (the link to it should be in my signature under 'free advice on privacy and security') about using a passport for your 2257 information so your address is never visible and to not even bother using a SSN card because that info moves around? He was 100% right. I did not believe it the first time I saw it, but when I started buying licensed photo and video sets you always get license numbers and a zip folder of all of the girl's 2257 information so that if any site or profile I have gets investigated or contested, I can submit the model's information as proof. Almost all of our contracts basically very very very vaguely say this is OK to do (aka 'we own your image and age verification information in perpetuity even if you stop working for us').
Ya dig?
For example, if you search NF and you see wayyy too perfect and pretty pictures - the owner of the page has that license info somewhere that says they own those pictures. See how those girls sell the SAME video and picture sets over and over again? They have the original model's license information.
I'm female by the way - I cam but also try to dry out that affiliate teat since although I love my 'look', I also want some of that bleach blonde DDD busty bombshell vanilla money
Here is the link: http://www.stripperweb.com/forum/sho...d.php?t=147389 , some people argued with him, but he is 100% serious and it is 100% true... and I have a few US girl's information.
Also it wasn't until I started camming that I began having identity theft issues. I suspect its because sites don't pay for security and that the info I've submitted gets traded in some way. Hackers also love cam sites.
I am not trying to be SCARY I'm just saying that anonymity isn't something someone should expect with camming. And to really think about it.
Sorry, I wanted to answer this thread dead seriously. Its not a job to take lightly. Even if you just keep your cam focused on your yoohoo you're still not 100% anonymous.
to the OP, reasons you may not want to cam...
1. it is highly likely that you will wind up plowing your vagina for either 35% or in 5 cent increments
^^^^ I was actually thinking of doing no shows what so ever. There are several girls on MFC that show nothing and do no privates yet men love them because they offer either a beautiful face and hot body that teases like crazy or have a great personality and can bullshit which makes the men have a good time and tip.
^That's how I started (on MFC). I actually had my "cammiversary" (one year of camming) about a week ago. I've done maybe 3 masturbation shows. I'm nonnude as well, so I kept my panties on and they saw nothing :P It definitely does not work for everyone, and you have to work REALLY hard to make sure that you stay appealing to your crowd.
