I'm from Australia and just to make the situation easier to understand I'll run it out, my club works like this:
- You do stage occasionaly when asked by management, all your time is spent working the floor though.
- There are NO dances in the general club area (where stage and bar are).
- ALL dances are in the private room which is sectioned off into 'main' and 'fantasy'. The shortest dance duration is 20minutes which is $90 in main and $120 in fantasy.
- No one tips you on stage, you don't get paid by the clubs to do stage. You don't pay a house fee to be there, but the club takes 50% of all of your income from private dances.
- So basically, private dances are the ONLY way to make money. You do stage to advertise yourself.
Now, I plan on going back to dancing soon and would love to improve with conversation! We are supposed to sit with them between 3/10mins. It may seem like a lot but when the minimum dance time is 20mins, usually the guy wants to get to know you a little better. I am a pretty good conversationalist and often guys will talk about how impressive it is to see a pretty AND smart girl there etc etc. BUT I still find it hard to get a dance off them because I'm better at talking about real life stuff as if with a friend than the sexy/flirty type of stuff. When I say, 'Hi my names Rosie, how's your night going?' or whatever, the conversation seems quick to steer into what I'm doing at uni/what they do for work/how they got there and I dunno, but not conversations that help make me seem desireable for a dance!
I think I would be pretty okay at being all flirty and sexy and FUN with the convo but HOW do I get there and does anyone have any suggestions what to say to keep it going for a few mins and how to ask for a dance at the end? Obviously all anyone can suggest is guidelines as the conversation will be different depending on each guy. Thanks for any help! ^_^.
