A Life?
He has a life...
I was looking for real ideas here. Im stuck and I have only 1 day left. He bought me the sweetest bday present. I'd like to return the sentiment. I'm not looking to shop at Hot Topic. He's not 12. lol
He's a singer, unfortunately the coolest thing I could buy would be rings or a belt buckle or something.... aww that would be kinda cute. We could make bets on how many girls would ask to take it off him. ;)
I agree with the vintage album if he has a few dif favs. Also agree with the instrument idea! Loved when I was given my open holed flute! You can also look online for anytlhing written by his fav artist and such on ebay and amazon, etc.
The belt buckle sounds kinda cool.
Lets face it, he already has a really cool and super hot GF. What else does the guy need!?
^ aww! Thanks! I've just been super bitch lately (and the worst of it is supposedly yet to come lol)... I want to make sure he knows he's loved. :)
I'm sure he knows...:)
^ I hope. He did tell me how well he thought I was doing with the whole thing last night which I thought was really sweet. :)
guitar ( I bought my bf a schecter guitar last year for christmas) or a guitar song book for a band he likes. a cd of a band he likes.... just ask him about bands he likes, or go thru his music list on comp. :) have fun
Not a lot of information to go on..................
I stick with the subscription to Heavy Metal.
Any DVDs or Sheet Music of fave bands.
Accessories? Then your back to Hot Topic.......
Ummmm Upper scale shave soaps and balms. A good shave is great, especially when you don't have to live with razor burn.
Contemporary dress up clothes. Can't go Goth/Punk every where.
Are there Better Microphones? A better quality mike with a more sensitive range.
Custom ear plugs. He will thank you later.
A rolling Pelican case for his shit when going to gigs.
Silk boxers. It is summer and these are sooooooooooo much better.
Toys? A RC car is still cool as an adult.
Any concerts coming up that you think he would like to see?
Something to do with the baby? Picture frame of an ultrasound?
guys don't really need much. most aren't into the super material gifts. cook him something.
If there are any good shows coming up in the area, tickets to see live music is always a nice gift.
If he has an ipod you could buy him some high-quality headphones, I bought my SO a pair for his birthday and he was very happy. Men are practical - whatever his interests are, a gift that highlights that and can be used will be a gift he loves. You could also take him on a picnic or bake a cake and then present his bday gift to him :)
shirt - either a t-shirt or hoodie
tickets to an upcoming event? I find that's one of the best gifts. my bf is a DJ and he wants to go to every event so I will pick one that I think he'd really like to go to and get a couple tickets for it :) he loves it! it is something we can do together too :)
yeah....
Usually if i need something...i buy it. I never have an answer for what i want for my BDay/xmas...etc.
Something he needs, but wouldnt really want to buy. How about a suit/shirt & tie. Not really fun, but if he doesnt have one..now he has something for funerals, weddings...etc
My brother in law was a musician....when he was dating my younger sister, he would always show up at family weddings, etc...underdressed...
I drew him one year in the xmas grab bag, and bought him a decent suit...10 years later he still wears it to every event that calls for one.....(only 2 or 3 times a year so its still in good shape)
I know that this idea sucks for a SO.....and as i am typing this i'm thinking about how much this idea sucks...yet here i am...still typing and for some reason.....clicking....submit..
There are several suggestions for tickets to a band he's like to see...
Personally, I always think a gift which includes spending time with the recipient is better than buying him some piece of junk just because you feel obligated to get him a gift. I'm more the kind of person who would rather give gifts at random times when I see something appropriate, rather than giving a gift on a certain day just because it's expected.
Is there a fantasy of his he's told you about that you can fulfill for him?
Or how about setting up an awesome date-night for him that he'll never forget? I think it's better to plan something personal that you can do WITH him is better than giving him something tangible that could be to-anyone/from-anyone.
You know him better than we do - think more along the lines of how you can express the unique relationship the two of you have, rather than looking for something you can wrap up with a pretty bow on top.
The best gift I ever gave to a boyfriend-at-the-time was a fairly inexpensive pair of gray panties, because they signified that I was willing to go along with a certain fantasy scenario of his (not to be explained here).
Get yourself some hot new lingerie or maybe a costume.
Not sure if my previous post went through, but some hot lingerie or a costume for the bedroom would work. Cook him a steak afterwords and he will be a happy man.
