I am trying to quit after having surgery on blocked leg arteries in May - caused by smoking 20 a day for 30 years. I know that I must stop - but it's SOOO hard, and I've been stopping and starting and stopping again for nearly 3 months now. It's driving me mad - and I get really, really upset with myself for not doing so well....to the point of breaking down in tears sometimes.
Please tell me which E-Cigarette did you buy - and can I get them online..?
I loved mine too! (until they broke)
I had the white cloud brand (very expensive) and eluma.
i prefer eluma !
I've been using one of those logic e-cigs from 7/11 and it's OK, but it's not like the real thing. Are the pricey ones really that much better?
I bought the ones from 7-11 and the eluma was much better. Easier to take a pull, felt better, more vapor came out
Why do you recommend it if you're NOT trying to quit? I mean, I should quit. And I have. But then something shitty happens and I'm back off the wagon. But what do you like about it? I guess I've only seen commercials and it looks kind of silly.
Congrats on quitting!
My husband used E-Cigs to quit. He got really into this brand: http://www.blucigs.com/
He was given a sample while we were in Vegas and was totally impressed. I mailed away for the starter kit and a bunch of menthol cartridges. Even just three sample BluCigs lasted him the entire weekend and also, the ride home. He has tons of cartridges left from his deployment.
I was just so proud that he found something that worked for him. I believe cigs are so addictive that its nearly impossible to quit and I've had low expecations but have compromised by just setting a financial budget around his habit. If he ever wanted to drop them, I would be thrilled but I'm not going to force him, as that would never lead to a permanent cut-off. I have many friends who sneak smokes behind the backs of their SOs. I respect him too much to make him hide it from me.
E-Cigs were the first thing he's ever used (he's tried gum, patches, perscriptions, etc) that made him want to NOT buy actual cigarettes. I can't recommend them enough. :)
E-Cigs will typically have a stronger nicotine content and are a bit more concentrated. You basically are smoking less and getting a comparable amount of nicotine. I think one BluCig cartridge equals three or five cigarettes and one "pack" (about five cartridges) equals an entire carton of smokes! Hence why the cost can be high, to start (starters for good ones are $80-$100+). If you're even thinking about cutting back, its a great idea and can potentially save you money and health, in the long run. You can look around and find really sleek, very authentic looking e-cigs. The higher quality styles aren't as cumbersome or funny looking as the cheap ones you can find in corner stores.
I just ordered a SmokeStik starter kit. They got pretty good online reviews, I'll let y'all know what I think of them when it gets here. I'm thinking about trying Eluma as well since they have a cheap mini-kit on sale for $30.
I love mine as well. I get mine from vapor 4 life. I love V4L batteries. I have two pink ones with rhinestones on the light up end. I hardly even smoke regular cigs anymore.
I know!!!! I'm a freakin non smoker!!!!!!
