Dance Routine
Hi, I was wondering if doing a dance routine on stage would be a good idea or not so much. Obviously it would be a strip routine slow and sexual and not something I'm just making up while I'm on stage. So what are your thoughts on a routine having it all planned out rather then just doing whatever you can think of onstage ? Also, how long is a stage dance usually ?
One last thing do you think these shoes are good stripper shoes or no, I mean their comfy, but I dont want to go in there looking like a jackass ?
Thanks in advance ladies ! <3.

Re: Dance Routine
I like the shoes. I am so sick of ugly ass typical stripper platforms. They remind me of horse hooves....as far as the routine......I think its just best to wing it. Maybe practice at home...but I think its more natural to just go for it

Re: Dance Routine
Ok yay so the shoes are good...
Yea I wasnt sure if doing a routine would be less liked then just winging it. It seems like a routine would be so much easier for me because I tend to run out of things to do, then I just repeat what I've already done or panic and make something up that looks so stupid lol.

Re: Dance Routine
I like the shoes :) Just remember though that wearing them out to dinner or with friends isn't the same as being on your feet in them for 6-8 hours - you might find that they're not as comfy as you thought. But if they are, then no problem.
I would say no to the routine thing too. You might forget one part of it and panic that you don't know what comes next, and you'd probably be concentrating on doing all your moves in order so much that you wouldn't look relaxed and natural. It's ok to do the same moves twice on stage, a lot of dancers can make a whole stage set out of just moving sexily around the pole without any major tricks going on. As for how long you're on stage, that depends on the club. My first club was just one song per girl, and I also worked at a club where it was one song aside from during "showcase" when it was each girls turn to do two songs at some point in the night. My current club is 3-4 songs in a stage set.
Good luck!

Re: Dance Routine
dance routines in a strip club is a great way to lose customers and alienate coworkers. i have seen this shit so many times and it is always tragic. ALWAYS.

Re: Dance Routine
as much as I like the idea of girls wearing "different heels" I never feel like they fully get away with it. It always ends up looking like they just didn't want to buy stripper shoes. There are SOOO many different shoes out there that you can choose from and there are practical reasons for them (added weight, added height, made to be worn for long periods of time, help you grip the pole etc). I try to be okay with girls who wear whatever shoes they want but I am never 100% okay with it.
Just get yourself a pair of regular stripper shoes. And no routines. Learn a few moves, get really good at them and then just rotate them all together. Gimmick stages are never good :(

Re: Dance Routine
I agree, I wouldn't do the shoes. As comfy as they may seem, anything with that tiny of a platform means a lot more impact on your feet, which WILL HURT after an hour or two. Plus you'll probably realize that with all the sliding your feet do on stage, those shoes will probably be in pieces by the end of the night.
As for a routine on stage, I think that would keep you so focused on yourself that you'd forget to interact with the custies around the stage. That's where the stage money is made, as well as plans for LDs when you're done. I do next to nothing on stage, except go around to every guy around the stage asking for dances. Why waste time dancing for the pole?? It's not spitting out bills.

Re: Dance Routine
Rock the shoes for the first night before you decide that stripping is for you and the shoes are worth the investment. If it is, then believe me when I say they are. Your shoes have no platform, so although they're comfortable for normal heel occasions, your feet will hate you by the end of a shift of dancing. The stripper platforms make a world of difference!
As for a routine... Well... If you're thinking a routine ā la a dance recital where you have all these steps choreographed and timed, I'd encourage you not to. By all means, practice some moves and transitions and try out dancing to the songs you want, but you're gonna look awkward up on stage your first time no matter what, and adding a routine to that isn't going to make it any better - especially if you forget a move or mess up an order. It can be nerve-wracking your first time, and forgetting a routine will make it worse.
Honestly, you don't need to do much on stage. Hopefully you'll have the chance to see a few girls go up before it's your turn, but its pretty well a lot of sexy stretching, posing, bending over, and interaction with the customers. Make eye contact, smile, run your hands over whatever part of your body your move is accentuating, and move slow. My stage set is super simple - I do no fancy tricks or moves and often repeat them throughout my set, but I make lots of eye contact and move slow, and I get tons of compliments on my stage show.
Stage dance lengths depend on the club and your songs, but I find the most common is 3 songs. Where I am, that's split into 2 songs topless, a break song, and then your last song nude. If its busy/there's lots of girls, that goes down to 2 songs with a break song in between. Most clubs like songs to be 3-3.5 minutes.

Re: Dance Routine
Thanks everyoneI know its been months since this post was made but I just found it again and was able to read everyones comments. As for the shoes I'll probably wear them until I get them money to buy stripper shoesand I'm deff not doing the routine anymore lol and @Shanna dior- I really appreciate the tips for when I'm on stage I'll deff remember them when I'm up there !
Another thing is I have a pair of shoes that are just like stripper shoes they have a platform and they also have grips already on the bottom, there black, but with like chrome for the platform and I would deff wear those the only reason I dont want to is because there scuffed a little in the front, so does anyone think I could pull those off because its not super bad but it is still scuffed and I dont want to come off as trashy or cheap you know. Thanks again everyone !

Re: Dance Routine
Don't worry about scuffs if they are small. There are a few girls I've seen where the black coating is coming off their stripper heels because of so much hitting them on the floor/pole where ever, I've never seen a customer care.

Re: Dance Routine
I generally assume that girls wearing non stripper heels are a little trashy and cheap. Is that rude? Yes, but I kinda assume it anyway. Seasoned dancers tend to make petty judgements about girls wearing costumes or shoes that are "off" but we have all been awkward newbies so just do whatever the hell you want.
