Camming From Phone Tutorial. (android)
Ok This is going to be rather complicated but several people have asked from it,
It works 8/10 times if you get everything perfect.
Its worked on 2/3 phones that ive tried this on.
The cost is free the first 24 hours (So you can try it to see if you like it)
And then 5 Bucks to buy the app after.
First of all. =}
Make sure your camera and connection on your phone is decent.
Things you need. Android Phone with camera (Front facing for ease of use)
IPWebcam From the market. (This is a GREAT App!! I use mine as a WIRELESS webcam!!! Yes i said it WIRELESS WEBCAM!)
PC Remote App.
PC Remote App On your computer.
Ok First things first , start up PC Remote On your pc. (http://www.silicmobile.com/remote/)
Open the IPCamera App on your phone.
Click Start Server
Go to the HTTP: Website it provides. (Mine looks like this http://192.168.0.5:****)
Click Connect to use as a pc webcam with skype and other video chat...
Fallow the instructions on that page (Use skype as a test).
One the cam on your phone is working on your computer.
Start up the 2nd app PCRemote
Click use As Remote (Great app to use your Phone to controle your computer btw)
Go to the website you wish to cam from. (your using your pc remember)
Click connect. (Make sure you have the IPWebcam as the camera or you will
broadcast from your Pcs webcam)
Your Good to go! Your using your pcs power and connection on your phone!!
There has been a issue with crashing, But hey , what do you expect when camming from a phone.
Ill let you know if i find a easier way/ Polish this way off some..

That's cool. Now what do you use to prop your phone into position? I haven't seen one that can be used with a tripod.
As an indy I like that I can cam on the go from my phone ;D

Lmao the first time in the car i did this , And i have a armband for my phone 9the case has a kickstand but it sucks) Anyways , the armband held mine up in the car on the dash.
I imagine if your phones large enough ( I think i saw you said you had a EVO)
If should set on any camera tripod. My cameras a little smaller then my evo lmao

My Evo has a built in kickstand....

Thanks for sharing Buffy, this looks pretty cool! I'm def going to try it out one day this week! I think if we all post what types/model of phones we have, and if it works that would be helpful too :)

Wow I got the android when it first came out and returned it. Don't I feel dumb right now. Will be on the upgrade because I so can get kinky in the car!!

Definitely give it another try... I heard that when android first came out it wasnt all that great, but the ones out now totally blow it out of the water.
I dont know how life operated before I got mine!!
