I'm frustrated with my camming issues =/
Heyyy so I started camming about 3 weeks ago and I feel like its one thing after another. And its over stuff that I thought would be the LEAST of my issues!
and btw I did do a search but didn't really see anything..
When I first started I had been using my friend's mac from like 6 years ago and people kept saying my cam would freeze and the audio would go in and out a lot. So last week I ended up buying a MacBook Pro (my first one I'm excited lol) The first few days I was only using the built in cam but that had the same issues with slow cam/audio. Soooooo I went back to the store and bought the Logitech c910 HD pro webcam.
The picture quality I think is amazing compared to what I had before and am extremely pleased with that...but ughhhhh for some reason again last night I was told that my cam kept "lagging" and the audio would go in and out...(they say its better than it was but still not 100%) The privates that I got ended way sooner because of the cam freezing.
The internet connection I get here is through Verizon Fios....isn't that supposedly the fastest?
When I google-ed it also said that maybe I can call my internet provider and ask them to give me the fastest connection...I mean I dunno is that my last option?
If that doesn't work I really don't know what else I can do..on top of everything I am not tech savvy AT ALLLLLL...I've asked my friends but they don't really know either.
I dunno I should just try a different site then..which I haven't done I know I should..
thanks a lot sorry if its a repeated question I'm just so frustrated I seriously almost cried the other night...hopefully the issue can be resolved..

was your camera exposure/gain and brightness set on automatic?
sometimes my logitech seems slow when i have too much exposure/brightness...
Other then that it could be the site... poor connection..
Im on Verizon (Fios) too , when its raining I get choppy connection.. :(

Use a wired connection instead of wireless. I started off using wireless but it would disconnect and lag and stuff. So anyway then I got an Ethernet cord and used the wired connection and it's so much better :P :)

Yes I would call your internet service provider and also make sure you don't have a bunch of windows open because that will slow it down. What site are you on?
Your service provider should be able to tell you what's going on. Just tell them the issues you are having. I use Comcast. Do you have Comcast in your area?

What speed is your internet? If you don't know, go to speedtest.net and test it. I have 20/3 and it works just wonderfully and no one ever tells me i'm lagging. I know a lot of girls have much faster internet, but it's the second number that matters (the lower one).
I have heard that SM is not Mac friendly. I started with a Macbook and very quickly switched to a PC. But the logitech cam should be fine. Think mine's a 9000.
