I realize it's going to be hard to not politicize this thread with such a polemic issue at hand, and I have my own very strong and unorthodox views of what happened on 9/11, but I just wanted to say thanks to all the rescue workers who gave their lives during the incident, and condolences to the families of all who died in the towers and on the ground.
Apart from all the political implications, a bunch of people just like you and I died in a single event, and left behind grieving families. I realize there are constant global tragedies being perpetrated, but that shouldn't mean we can't memorialize this one.
We need more peace. I've lived in a central american civil warzone and I can firsthand testify that killing each other is the shittiest thing you can imagine.
