Is there a way or program that you can watermark all your pictures at once?
I'm tired of doing it one by one especially when I have a photo set of 70+ pictures.
Any help would be great appreciated!! xoxoxo

P.S. I use Picnik, but it's just not cutting it anymore.
Do you think buying photoshop is worth it?
Can't you use gimp for that? It's free :)
Yes you can! I downloaded it at the recommendation of someone, but cannot for the life of me figure it out. I might just be dumb though. But it IS free, and it CAN mass-watermark!
Editing multiple images at once is called batch processing. There are many ways to do it depending on what OS / photo editor you use. Best way to figure out what will work best for you is to do some research based around your system.
If you're using a Digimarc watermark, there are programs (such as PhotoShop and ThumbsPlus) which will process that in batches. Search "batch process watermark" - if you're using a certain photo editor, add the name of it to your search string to see if there are add-ons or tutorials on how to do it.
If you're referring to a visible copyright stamp on your images, you might also search "batch photo stamp" and similar terms.
I use and it's free. You have to install an to do batch watermark processing.
Gimp has a lot of capability, especially if you get various free add-ons that are available for it. It takes some learning and getting used to, but it works great once you've got the hang of it. I've been using it for years instead of paying for photoshop.
There is also a way to batch process in photoshop by creating macros. There are tutorials available online to teach you how to do that.
AND, I used to use a program called which has a pretty nifty batch process feature as well. I haven't used that in some years, but I know it's still around and when I used it, I really liked it. It worked very well for processing even hundreds of photos with a few clicks.
You can only do five at a time here, but http://www.picmarkr.com is cool, and it's free, no download :) Not a great time saver when there's a lot of pics.. but good for smaller sets.
I was just doing some searching and found this also
I saw recommendations for it on a couple photo forums. They say it will batch process and that it's fast.
I'm not inclined to try it because my gimp thing works really well for me. I tell it which folder of images I want to watermark, where I want them saved (it won't rename so best to save them to a sub-folder so you don't lose your originals), then choose my font, opacity and other settings, which position I want watermarks in (there are 5 position options; I use center), then let it go. It works fast and makes a nice lightly visible embossed copyright stamp on a whole folder of images quickly. Me likey.
So out of curiosity when you sell pics/ pic sets etc, those all have a watermark across the centre Supa? Doesn't that detract from the image? I'm imagining a big, red font, capital lettered "this is mine!" over it.... lol
Yes every photo I sell has a watermark in the middle. And all my videos have a large watermark on the bottom. I make it white and low opacity so it doesn't interfere too much with the image. No one complains, and frankly, I don't give a damn if the wankers like it or not. They know why I do it, and they also know I'd be ignorant not to.
Help! I got gimp! I just don't know how to get the plugin for the batch watermarking..
I feel like I've been staring at the screen forever trying to figure it out. haha
I linked to it and there are instructions on the page. Have to describe your problem so someone can help.
"Copy watermark-it.scm and optionally watermark-batch.scm into one of the directories registered in the Gimp preferences under Folders/Scripts."
I dont get this part....I found the scripts folder and drag and dropped the saved watermark files and refreshed my scrips but it didn't show up under decorations like t said it would. I still haven't figured out how to add scripts lol. Help please
Bumpity bump bump
I know I've mentioned it before; thought it was this thread; guess not. ^-^ If anyone's still having issues with batch watermarking of photos, look for a program called uMark. I use it for my photos, and it works swimmingly. Very easy to use, and it's free. Yay!
Photoscape! Easy easy easy interface. And you can do SO much with it if you have time to explore it. I have *literally* over a thousand photos, and it took me no time at all to watermark them all.
AND IT'S FREE.
Bump!
I agree with Photoscape! it's the easiest one, and you can watermark it with a logo of your own and choose to resize/where it goes on the photos, and you can do as many photos as you want at one time :) Much easier than GIMP imo (I've been using GIMP as an editing tool since I was 11? 12?)
