Hello all,
I just wanted to post something to any new cam models that are just starting out and feeling "Down".
I tried cam modeling before over a year ago and gave up within the first month. I found it SOOOO discouraging and incredibly challenging to make enough money to survive off of. A little over a month ago, I started doing A LOT of research and decided to jump into it with a different attitude. I read an article where a cam model was talking and said if you can just make it past the first two weeks, you will start to see the benefits if you are viewing it as an actual job, showing up, entertaining people, creating a party environment. With that little bit of advice I started again on MFC, the first two weeks were SLOW - my first paycheck was absolutely pitiful. But I created a goal chart for myself, I wrote down what my expectations would be month-by-month for the next six months. I KNOW that there are up and down days, but today, as I am approaching my 1 month anniversary of camming, I reached my total hourly pay rate goal!
I just want to encourage new models to set high goals! You won't always be making a ton of money. But there's a good chance you will be making very decent pay if you approach camming as being a business! I have had slumps where I go on and barely make anything, but those are getting further and further between and each time I am on cam I am finding my hourly pay average is getting higher and higher (usually just by a couple dollars, but TRUST ME - that has added up to me reaching goal!).
If you are new to camming PLEASE don't just give up! It is such an awesome privilege being able to work from home. When I get paid in two days I will finally get to have my cake and eat it too }:D
- No way I can ever go back to a "vanilla" job!
I read a post on here that said "if you aren't making bank, then you shouldn't be camming". That is SO true, but I don't take that to mean you should stop camming if the pay you are making is lower than you like, I take it to mean - find a new way of camming!
