"Fellow" Cam Girl exposed my real identity to everyone in free chat
Hi girls,
On my first shift camming, a deluded girl I've had problems with in the past, came on as a Guest and started harassing me and repeatedly announced my real name, location and my boyfriends name. She went on to insult the way I look, my hair, body, makeup etc. I don't usually take things to heart, and didn't listen to her ''insults'' but what really bothered me is how she was exposing the real me to the internet sex industry world!!
I only worked out it was her due to the way she was writing. Some other members also said they recognised her style of writing. Apparently she used to cam on the same site but got fired. (I didn't know).
So, now the usual members know me by my first name. Another member said he now knows who I am as he's seen a movie (horror flick) I was in. My real name is google-able as Ive been doing lots of modeling and acting.
I just wanted to be private while I cam, for obvious reasons.
I know it's advisable to use a stage name while camming, but now I'm considering using my real name and first initial of my surname.
I feel very conflicted and ready to stop camming altogether but don't want to let the crazy girl ''win''. She's since been DM/PM'ing members telling them I'm HER stalker, accusing them of being traitors and insulted them massively. Obviously these members now think she's a fruit cake and are all on my side, and that's all fine & dandy - but they also know my real name, where I live and who my boyfriend is!!!
What do you advise? I'm sure most of you cam under a fake persona. Are there any cam girls using their real name, or is that just asking for trouble?

Honestly, I think using your real name is asking for trouble. Some of these people have serious issues.

Re: "Fellow" Cam Girl exposed my real identity to everyone in free chat
I say fuck it! It's already out there! Go with it. I'd just move at some point if I could afford it. Also talk to the site about it. Maybe they can block her.

Re: "Fellow" Cam Girl exposed my real identity to everyone in free chat
Sorry that happened to you. That's gotta be annoying.

Re: "Fellow" Cam Girl exposed my real identity to everyone in free chat
What a bitch! If you have any proof it was her go to the site admins. I don't know as they'd do anything, but letting someone know proves a history of it if she keeps doing it.
Can you move? I'm on that porn star database thing. So I moved. You could also change your legal name if you have to. I'd think though, that if you can get admin to remove her and get her to stop PMing members, ignore her and this will blow over. Move though. For safety.

Re: "Fellow" Cam Girl exposed my real identity to everyone in free chat
I've reported it to the Admins and she's forever blocked now. She didn't give out my exact address, only the city I live in.
She's still on FB and Twitter though, and that's where she's been DM'ing members.
I know, it's asking for trouble. I'd like to carry on being part of Playboy though, and doesn't mind my real name being use in that kind of association. It's just that PBL has been launched on Naked.com which is a hardcore site. PBL is softcore and there's a huge difference. (to me, probably not to members - you can get stalkers either way).
That is my worry.

Stalkers are stalkers. It doesn't matter how much you show or don't show. That doesn't matter. What matters is that they have a mechanism in their head that makes them, beyond their control, try to attach themselves to someone and learn as much as possible about them... almost like, becoming a part of their life. What's creepy about that is that they do it in the most subtle way, so you may never know who they are or that they are stalking you until its too late. I can COMPLETELY understand it, because, being Asperger-y, my mind randomly fixates on a person/place/thing sometimes and I have no control over it. I can only image that being a stalker is like that x100.
I don't know how much info you have on the internet, but, if you've done a lot of public work, make really good $$, and live somewhere really secure (like a high rise building or gated home), then you might be okay. It would be similar to a public celebrity. But if you cannot afford that lifestyle and there isn't already a lot of content out there under your real name to bring your fan base to camming, I would 100% stay with the stage name.

Re: "Fellow" Cam Girl exposed my real identity to everyone in free chat
I don't understand. Playboylive doesn't have a block feature to begin with? You couldn't shut her up in the first 5 seconds of her opening her mouth?
Also what difference does it make if you use the fake name vs the real name? I don't think you need to give your REAL identity out to anyone just because she made a slip up. I don't see how changing it will help you?

Re: "Fellow" Cam Girl exposed my real identity to everyone in free chat
Well, it was my first shift and she came on as a Guest. As far as I've understood, if you block one Guest, all other guests will also be blocked. And it took me quite some time to realize who it was, as it started with a tirade of abuse and then all of a sudden my real name in capital letters.
When I reported her, the admin sent me an e-mail saying they have all her personal data and that she's been forever blocked now - whatever that means. I'm sure she can still come on as a guest though.
I've always modelled under my real name. Camming being camming I thought I should use a stage name, even though I much prefer using my real name (in general). When, on my first shift ever, my real name was exposed anyway I just thought, well wtf?! Not much point in having a stage name. Also PBL have my real name in the URL. That was another thing a member informed me about. What I'm trying to say is, I don't mind using my real name for modelling or Playboy. Infact I would prefer it! Many normal models incl Playboy models model under their real name. But it's different when my profile is on Naked.com, even though I am camming for PBL. It's a hardcore site. I don't do hardcore. So yeah maybe I've just answered my own question.

Re: "Fellow" Cam Girl exposed my real identity to everyone in free chat
Well do what you feel comfortable with. They probably blocked her IP so she should NOT be able to visit you again even as a guest, unless she uses a different computer. Sorry that happened to you, what a bitch!

Re: "Fellow" Cam Girl exposed my real identity to everyone in free chat
Thanks. Yes it was pretty low.

Re: "Fellow" Cam Girl exposed my real identity to everyone in free chat
If you're really worried about stalkers, you might wanna sign up with reputation.com to remove your personal info like address, etc. from the internet... as long as the info this bitch divulged isn't on a static webpage, you should be fine, and I'm sure it'll be forgotten. I think that using your real name constantly might not be a good idea, though, due to potential stalkers. 99% of guys are really cool and just fine, but don't risk getting hurt by weirdos if you can help it. I also use a fake last name on Facebook so that guys can't find me.

Re: "Fellow" Cam Girl exposed my real identity to everyone in free chat
Well if she gets on from another IP you are gonna have the same issue again and again......one IP doesn't make a difference if she's that damn determined to ruin you. Sounds like jealousy to me though...You fucked her man didn't you? LOL.
On PB Live - at this point I would out myself there....Most of the guys probably don't even care to be honest. Hell, you could even say that what she says is true and twist it, make lies and bullshit outta what she is saying. Make it all laughable and it will go away. Once it's all so confusing - people will be pissed at her for causing trouble.
and start somewhere else fresh. You may not have a choice in the matter.

Re: "Fellow" Cam Girl exposed my real identity to everyone in free chat
Haha, I didn't fuck her man, but I started dating someone she'd been chasing for years. He was never interested in her but when she found out he was dating me she started tweeting at him saying he's got bad taste, that I'm ugly etc. Seriously mental. How she thinks I'm the stalker I'll never know, she started bitching before I had any clue who she was. That was 2 years ago, and now out of the blue, she popped up again. Yet I'm the stalker? Don't think so love!
I'm gonna use my first name and a made up surname. I'm sure it will be forgotten about, just annoying that lots of registered members found out.
Thanks girls.

Re: "Fellow" Cam Girl exposed my real identity to everyone in free chat
I use my real first name. I have since I started camming and so that's been years now and I've never had an issue with customers or people online. The only "issue" that has come up from using my real name is that people in "real life" can find or recognize you easier, which is obviously a problem for some and not a problem for others (like me).
So my opinion is if you are fine with people in "real life" knowing you cam, then I don't see a problem with using your real name.

Re: "Fellow" Cam Girl exposed my real identity to everyone in free chat
What a bitch! I'm sorry! This is really bad. :(
Expose another cam girls is something from real little people, jealous one, who doesn't take care her own life.

Re: "Fellow" Cam Girl exposed my real identity to everyone in free chat
I dont understand... You stayed online and kept camming instead of shutting it down to stop her?
Guest can't tip or take you private on Naked, so why not mute them? Why continue to let someone run you down publically & give out personal information?
Plus if she is doing harmful things on Facebook it is easy to get her kicked off.
Plenty of ex's or people I went to college with tried that crap not knowing better. I shut them down immediately. Or log off rather than let them continue to give out my real information.
Remember your in control of your room and cam shows. Plus you can hide your friend list on Facebook so that she can't message them. And lock your twitter acct so that she has no access to it.
She is messing with your money, to me that is fighting words.
Good Luck,
Sam

Re: "Fellow" Cam Girl exposed my real identity to everyone in free chat
Why is PB using your real name in your web address???
-
Re: "Fellow" Cam Girl exposed my real identity to everyone in free chat
i would not use my real name. its an invitation for more people to know who you are, where you are, who your friends and family are..etc..
most guys who watch cam have the attention span of a peanut and have forgotten, don't care, and probably already jacked off to you and moved on. you don't have an obligation to tell them your real name, they all know these aren't our real names. i'm just saying, if i were you i would just hope there were no psychos stalkers in the chat room while she did it, keep working under a pseudonym, and then go find that girl and whoop her ass up and down the street.

Re: "Fellow" Cam Girl exposed my real identity to everyone in free chat
It was my first shift and it happened pretty quickly. First I thought it was just a rude member and was searching for the block option. Then my name popped up, followed by everything else.
My first reaction was just to play along with it and not let people know it was bothering me. People asked if that was my real name, and if I had a boyfriend but I didn't say yes or no to it.
I guess it's easy to wonder why I stayed online - I've been a stripper for 6 years and I'm just used to going along with stuff and I never take things to heart. I'm very good at keeping a straight face, cracking jokes and beating around the bush. It was that part of me that ''went along with it'' because at that point it seemed like the best thing to do. It would be too obvious that I was exposed if I had logged off straight away or gotten defensive. It was surreal and I didn't really think much of it until the next day when she came online again (I logged out when she did) and a member questioned me about a movie I was in.
Oh believe me if I met her face to face there would be a lot of ass whopping going on. So many people seem to have had run-ins with her, I'm not the only one.
My Twitter account is locked, but some of my followers also follow her (and vice versa) so she can still DM them there. I only have a FB page. But again, some of my fans there are also her fans.
Thanks girls for all your input and wise words. Love this forum.
Kisses.
