What to do when the lap dance area is taken?
Not sure if this should go here or in hustle hut. But here goes:
At one of my clubs, there is only one couch/area for lap dances, and 3-4 girls working on any given night. Usually this works itself out ok, as it's not a super busy club. But there are some nights that are either busier than usual, or one girl is doing a long string of dances for a regular. I'll be out on the floor chatting people up, and I feel like I have to keep one eye on that area to see if it's free so I can time my pitch for dances. It's no good to have a guy say yes to a dance, and then ask him to wait anything between 5-30 minutes to actually get it. >:(
Anyone have any creative solutions on how to get around this? When I first started there another girl told me to just give the guy his dance on a regular chair in a dark corner, but it was extremely awkward and he was obviously unhappy about it. I need to find some way to get better at keeping a guy waiting and ready to go as soon as the spot's available, I guess?
Several dancers have repeatedly talked to the owner about this problem, but it doesn't seem like it's going to change any time soon.

you only have one couch-- unless you do the chair dance, I don't know exactly what you're hoping for advice-wise.
The only thing I can say is, charge the guy a few dollars less for a chair dance and put the chair RIGHT next to the one couch so you're in line during your string of dances when the other girl is finished.

I did a dance against the wall in the VIP once because people kept cutting us in line for the VIP couches and he wanted a private dance. I love the idea of putting a chair next to the couch though. (That particular night all the chairs were full too though. lol) The wall dance took a lot of creativity.

What BOTM said... but if they want the couch (and there's no one else to hustle so you're willing to wait with them) tell them you have to collect the money up front so you can be next in line or 'tell the dj to reserve the area for the two of you' or some nonsense.
This way they can't change their mind/decide they need to leave if there's a 30 minute wait.
I used to do this, walk over and say 'hi' to the dj as though I'm reserving the booth and dick around with him for a few minutes before going back over and subjecting myself to dealing with customers.

Thanks for the tips. :) I particularly like the idea of "reserving" the couch in advance. Genius!
