Terrible noise in cam2cam AW
So frustrating but whenever I have cam2cam in pvt the sound is terrible! I can hear myself as an echo, keeps repeating everything I say over and over, which is off putting. Also there are lots of other noises and I don't mean background like cars etc but more like feedback. Have searched AW help section and searched SW too but not found anything. Has anyone experienced the same thing and know how to stop it?
Re: Terrible noise in cam2cam AW
it's due to the feedback loop from speakers. using a headset with headphones and a microphone on both sides should solve the problem, but that's really cumbersome for camming. on streamate, i stop it by turning off the customer's ability to transmit audio - is there a way to do this on adultwork? i'm not totally sure.
Re: Terrible noise in cam2cam AW
the sound is both your mics picking each other up & echoing. it's like being on a radio talk show when you're listening to yourself on your radio, yknow? i wish i knew how to fix this problem as well.
Re: Terrible noise in cam2cam AW
Thanks hun, my mics built into my cam and the speakers are sat next to my monitor so I'll have a play around with them and see if anything changes. Hopefully this will solve tessarubyxoxo's issue too ;)

Re: Terrible noise in cam2cam AW
The loop has to be broken at one of the four points:
Your mic being sent (essential if sending voice)
Your speakers on (essential if wanting to hear the client)
Clients mic being sent (essential for them to transmit their voice)
Clients speakers on (essential for them to hear you)
Which ever one has the lowest priority I would stop that one, 1 and 4 are most likely definites.
I think there is an option somewhere to stop the clients mic or lower the volume of it.
Another option would be to maybe face the speakers into an open area or away from your mic.
Re: Terrible noise in cam2cam AW
I just use a headset. Really makes me feel virtual too! lol However, I can still hear what I say a few seconds later, but I don't mind that so much. It does, however, take care of that horrible noise.
Re: Terrible noise in cam2cam AW
I just mute my computer and tell them to type...no one has complained yet :)

I have this problem too on SM. I have tried telling them to just type, but they don't listen. How do you turn off their ability to transmit audio??
Re: Terrible noise in cam2cam AW
I just turn my volume down because they can still hear me like that. Before I turn on their cam I tell them that for some reason my two way doesnt work so although I can see them if they try to talk with me they will be talking to themself ;)
Re: Terrible noise in cam2cam AW
I hate it ... I tell customers I can't hear them
