What questions should you ask an agency?
I'm looking at different escort agencies in the NYC/NJ/Philadelphia area, and I'm not sure exactly what I should be looking for. I only want to be with an agency for a few months while I get used to the industry and can build myself as an Independent, but I want to make sure that whatever agency I work with is the right one for my safety and keeping me out of legal trouble etc. Could anyone offer any advice on what kind of questions I should ask an agency before starting working for them? I was thinking maybe things like how they screen, how it works if they do incalls, what percentage of the money I get and what I might have be expected to pay for?
Also, if anyone can recommend any agencies in that area or is currently escorting and might like to chat, I would really appreciate hearing from you!

Re: What questions should you ask an agency?
1. What's the split? 60/40?
2. Where do you advertise?
3. Do I have to show my face in photos?
4. Does the agency pay for photography? Do I have to provide my own wardrobe for the shoot? (Or makeup if you choose to show your face)
5. What is your screening process?
6. Do you provide an incall location? If the incalls are hotel rooms, do you pay for the room or a percentage?
7. Who's responsible for my transportation to and from outcall appointments? Do you provide drivers? Do I have to tip them out?
8. How are drops handled? Do I deposit the agency fee into a bank account, hand it to the driver, etc?
9. Is this agency female owned or just female operated?
10. How often do I need to provide a schedule?
11. How many clients am I expected to see in a shift?
12. Do I have the right to refuse a client? (If the answer is no, RUN!)
These are the only questions I could think of off the top of my head. Once you have your answers it's up to you do to verify as much of it as possible. If they claim to advertise on Eros, go to Eros to look for the ads. You'd be surprised how many agencies claim to have a large advertising budget, but only place ads on Backpage. Do a WHOIS search on the agency's domain name to see how long ago the domain was registered. Some agencies may claim to be around for years, but a WHOIS search may reveal they just registered their domain last week! Don't be surprised if their registration details are privatized but even if you can't the registrant's name you can always get the registration date.
Don't forget to Google their number to see what comes up. Pay close attention to their ads. Are they well written? You don't want an agency representing you if their ads don't look legit or low class.
Never agree do a trial session or "audition" with a client or agency owner. That's a tactic sleazy agencies use to get free sex from naive ladies. It's total BS.
The only female owned and operated agency I know out of NYC is Aphrodite Companions, but I'm sure there are some other great ones if you do your research.
