different color french manicures
lately i've been seeing girls with different color french manicures, where every finger is a different color. on them its cute like its a different look. on me i think i'd be hella tacky sorta (i dunno). my style is a little more conservative but not really. i'm a active gold digger (real talk) so i try to do things in ways where i can still express my individuality but still be eye catching to the older rich business type. opinions ladies... is this a good look to give a try or by pass all together?
Re: different color french manicures
not to attract a classy rich guy, they tend to hate fake nails.. guys in general hate fake nails (but can't even tell half the time).. i know how you feel, sometimes stuff like that is fun and cute but you don't really wanna have it on in certain situations or around certain people. like you know it's tacky but you still like it..
Re: different color french manicures
I don't think having bright multicolored nails would be attractive to an older man. There are cute french manicures out there that play with different colors and shapes that still look elegant. I like this one

Love these! :D
Keep the nails simple, really. Something about ornate nail art just does not sit will with me.
Re: different color french manicures
you guys expressed my thoughts exactly. over here(hawaii) its the biggest craze but i think i'ma just say screw it haha. it never hurt anyone to be different.

In truth....if they are coloured, then they are not 'true' French manicures, however more and more places are offering coloured French nails. If you want some really individual and tasteful nails...take a look here. The lady's name is Lynn and she will ship worldwide:

Re: different color french manicures
no body really wears tips per say anymore. we kinda clown the girls who do its mean i know. but most of us do it whatever color is going to be done pink n white style. you know how the products is actually painted on by hand then you put gel on top to make it shiny. it actually works out better its more custom. because some nail technians be over filing an crap an just hack up your tips my god. its bad. some of my friends consider it a waste of money (my non dancer friends).
Re: different color french manicures
I always look at a woman's hands, I love nails. I like the more traditional french look but I did see a earth tone french that looked good.
Re: different color french manicures
I've never seen multi-coloured tips like what you're describing, but it sounds like it'd be cute on like a college student or someone with a really silly personality - definitely not for high-class events though. I am a fan of coloured tips where instead of white you have red though. I find they add a subtle splash of colour without looking childish.
Re: different color french manicures
exactly... like shanna dior was saying, i see nothing wrong with other colors for french. i myself an i fan of it. i've tried pink, black, glittery white. but whatever color i do its all the same for every finger.
Re: different color french manicures
Got these yesterday. Generally I'm a french-only but I was getting bored.
Re: different color french manicures
^^I like them with the black line. I commented on a woman's nails a couple of days ago & she was so happy to tell me she just got them done. The little differences between a woman & man are the best things..nails, hair & war paint...makeup. Take notice...
Re: different color french manicures
how about these? lmao

do u mean the multi color french manicures like this tho?

i couldn't find a real good picture but i don't like them...i think it looks ok to get like all pink tips or something if u want something a little different than just a french manicure but to me the multi colors just look really tacky.
Re: different color french manicures
I always had a million compliments when I had my nails done like this, with a black tip. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FBFmsHZGKtM
Re: different color french manicures
I've done multi-color "french" on my real nails (they grow really long naturally). I really like the look, but then I'm a silly person and like kitschy colorful things. I'd definitely stick with something simple and neutral for your clientele if you're that concerned about it though. I'd try other french colors outside of white or whatever, but stick with things that aren't neon or glittery/metallic if you want something different without being off-putting.

Pass, especially for what you're talking about. Stick with the oldies-but-goodies - long nails (natural preferably) and then add: white tips, red all-over or a natural nude/pick all-over.
I don't know how well these would work if you're dancing, but few wealthy guys (older, need discretion, enjoy the finer things in life) are going to want to be seen with a woman who has black tips, but less neon pink or glitter.
Some women really like it, but I'd be tailoring my choices to the market I want to appeal to.
Re: different color french manicures
I would avoid anything that could be described as "cute".
Leave "cute" to the barely-18 set.
It doesn't sell.
Re: different color french manicures
h0ttie: yes i was speaking about something like what you found where every finger is a different color but make it glittery on top of that. sorta like the picture i've attached but with the 5 different colorts and they would be a little more gaudy . its like status here in the young party/ young dancer scene. but like i said its just not something that i can imagine myself doing. i don't care who likes it. i've been considering doing my nails (acrylic wise) but now i'm just like i'm very set on kim k style. short classic just clean. plus it saves me money.so its a win win situation.

found some more examples.
but now that i think about it, its just people who grew up feeling neglected for funny for not being able to do things that other kids were able to do at young ages. now that they got a little bit of money there going crazy. tryna to put the fact that they can afford it in everyones faces. nail art like this cost about 120 (before taxes) for the full set.

120!!!????
where the hell do u get ur nails done...thats so expensive
Re: different color french manicures
everything here is expensive. because to get your nails done with product french by hand is about 90 bucks here. then your put 3d art an stuff on every finger the price just goes up. the crazy prices are why i kinda stopped doing my nails. because when you goto little corner shops that are a little bit cheaper not much they don't do good. the higher end salons do alot better but hell, spending a bunch of money to look silly just isn't my forte.
Re: different color french manicures
I think it's more about how you wear them and your "image." I had a much older sugar daddy (well established architect before I was even born) who liked my cute but put together style.
My personality is very hippie/raver, with a mysterious air. I LOVE bright colors and shiny things. But I've always had a taste for classy and can look sophisticated while wearing paisely.
One of my nail looks that he adored was a french style polish- a fuschia shade that leaned slightly more towards purple all over with a pinkish purple glitter tip.
Re: different color french manicures
This look seems to be very popular for the younger generation, and by younger...I saw my 13 year old niece doing this. How about trying a traditional french but using a single color for the tips. Instead of white, go with whatever color is on your toes. It's classy/edgy
