Re: Camming on your Credit Report?
^^^ We agree completely on point 1. We agree in all but a few details on point 2. The details involve a potential situation where the person has not officially reported an employer on a credit application ( thus leaving the credit reporting agencies with a 'blank to fill in' ) combined with the person having one predominant source of regular incoming funds being regularly deposited into a bank account which bears the person's name ( which the bank may then report as the person's employer ).

Credit reporting agencies get their data from the creditor. They don't look for employment data on you. They just use what is provided. The phone numbers and addresses probably came from when you originally applied for credit and this is what they are using.
Also keep in mind when you update information with a creditor they report that as well. You know how when you call in to your bank or your mortgage company and they ask you verify your name, address, phone number, well this information is maintained by the company. Also they may say something like "are you still working at XYZ company?" IF you update that information, then they will more than likely at some point update with Equifax, Experian, transunion. When they report your payment history, they will also report any updated address or phone number changes. So that's another way they could be getting old addresses or phone numbers.
Yes, I listed them as my employer on my 2008-2010 taxes and I listed them as my employer when I applied for renter's insurance, car insurance, my car loan (applied for two, actually) and term life insurance.
Re: Camming on your Credit Report?
Of course those payments are going to be on your records. The IRS will know about them... It's way too easy to get this information.
The sooner you accept that people know what you do, the easier it gets.

And that's also how you'll know if you want this job badly enough or not.
Seriously guys. Think about the pornstar info wikileaks thing that happened awhile ago. ALL pornstars' personal information was leaked. With camming, I can only imagine similar things happening in the future unfortunately.

This. ^^ I'm now not really sure what the policies are, and it will depend on which company you are applying for, but I don't think it is standard to run background OR credit checks unless you are working with vulnerable people, governments, or money. And even when there were cases when I worked in recruitment that we would run a background check (teaching jobs, mostly) we would never run a credit check. And they have to get your consent to run both of these checks, although thats basically a formality.
But as the last couple posters said - just accept that people will find out, and go from there.
I am constantly surprised by how little difference it makes to an employer unless you are working with vulnerable people or children (obviously - I think we all know which jobs are out-of-bounds for those in the adult industry), or you are a very public face of the company.
I am always honest about what I do, and I will usually use it to my advantage! With landlords or for banks/loans, I will point out how much I earn, how I work for myself (and so cannot be laid off!) and work in one of the most lucrative industries, and an industry that is STILL growing (this one is becoming less true, but most people hear porn and think $$$). I tell landlords that because I work from home, I take very good care of my house, I become a good neighbor, and I am always around for inspections and repairs. I point out that the more someone is home, the less likely the house is to become a target for break-ins. And if anyone refuses to rent to me after that list of pros, frankly, I don't want to give them my money!!
As for employers, when I was still working part time at vanilla jobs that required resumes and proper interviews (again, thank god I'm an artist and no longer have to deal with that!!) I stated very clearly that I was a stripper. And I made a big deal of the adult industry attributes that are needed in the workplace: drive, self-discipline, tech savvy (for camgirls), care for personal appearance, sales skills, customer service skills, the ability to maintain a great attitude, the ability to get along with all types of people, social media and marketing skills, etc etc...
Working in the adult industry can be presented as a good thing, or as no big deal. Pay your taxes, build credit, gain references for renting homes....and don't hide or try to lie about what you do!

I googled both and nothing turned up for NF services but some random stuff and for KB media legit sites about creating websites and online ad marketing popped up so it's safe to say unless they really dig they probably won't find out. Re: Camming on your Credit Report?
Question, since Streamate isn't a US based company, do they still report your income to the IRS? So if you're camming then ALL your earnings exactly are already reported? Just confused, since they're a foreign company how can they be forced to report earnings of their US employees?
Re: Camming on your Credit Report?
^^^ they don't. But unless you travel outside the USA to collect your StreamMates paychecks, the IRS has a record of every 'foreign' dollar crossing the US border and landing in a US camgirl's account. This is also the reason that many 'direct deposit' services are now being cut off for US payees.
