preventing from being wet?
Okay sorry if there's already a topic on this I don't have a computer for the time being and am not able to use the search :(
Anyways I know some of us females have bodies that don't require us to be 'turned on' to get wet in our panties. Are there tricks to dealing with this when dancing? Girls at my club all use tampons and I have been as well but I've found myself becoming extremely nausiated from doing this and need another way since I can't just go out on stage and have wet bottoms or anything like that (ew.)

Re: preventing from being wet?
I discharge pretty heavily as well and it has nothing to do with me being turned on. I may use tampons once in awhile but it's definitely not healthy to use them all the time. The best thing you can do is just keep baby wipes handy and wipe off your girly parts as much as you can and wipe down your thongs before you go onstage. Even if your thongs are a little wet, guys love it. They think you're horny. Lol..

Re: preventing from being wet?
I just rock it like I'm soooo turned on....guys go crazy over it, afterall.

Re: preventing from being wet?
I have the same problem a lot. I do what Kaiarose mentioned. Just look at it as a plus because some guys (most usually) love to see it.

Re: preventing from being wet?
Unless you're actually dripping wet and leaving little puddles everywhere, I wouldn't worry about it at all. Guys seem to like it when you're super wet- obviously it means you're really enjoying it.

Re: preventing from being wet?
I work with a gal who describes herself as "naturally moist" & always wears tampons while working (if you cannot wear tampons, perhaps a moon cup will be better for you, they do the same job if not better).
*Make sure you baby wipe your kitty before your stage sets & LD's.
*Keep your thong on (if you can, depends on the club rules/custies)
*Change your thong/panties during your shift if you notice any discharge or feel uncomfortable.
*If a custy notices, don't be embarrassed-he will probably be flattered that the pretty lady dancing for him is "wet" (the guy won't know it's not due to arousal )
*If it's recent & your kitty is feeling uncomfortable then it may be due to an annoying girly problem i.e. yeast infection etc.

Re: preventing from being wet?
Ugh, I am the exact same way! I hate it! I actually almost posted a thread just like this a couple days ago. I wish there was a way to stop it. I do the tampon thing sometimes too when I know I'm gonna be working for long periods of time and wont be able to run off to the bathroom to clean up. But obviously you can't do that all the time...

Re: preventing from being wet?
I'm like this before and after my period. I like to change to a fresh thong often and/or wipe. Most of the time it is sweat as well. I use deodorant down there and sometime dry myself with a blowdryer.

I'm the same way ,but I think I found better way to stop it
Before I go to work I use douche ,this helps a lot !
And if I still feel discomfort I change often my thongs :-*

Re: preventing from being wet?
Omg I am the same way but I'd kill myself If I had to wear tampons all the time at work. 3 days a month is more than enough! I just have to pee so often that usually it's enough til' the next baby wipe... I get yeast infections all the time and I suspect baby wipes, but tampons would be a lot worse for you, no?
-
Re: preventing from being wet?
If you ate prone to yeast infections use feminine wipes instead. They are pH balanced for a woman not a baby. Vagisil makes ones I like but pretty much all the feminine care products make them.

Re: preventing from being wet?
Thanks! I'm pretty sure it's the wipes.. so annoying! And I never get YIs when I'm not working..

Re: preventing from being wet?
Menstrual cups are the way to go. I honestly don't know why more women don't use them they're completely safe to use when you're not on your period as they don't dry out your vajayjay like tampons and you can leave it in your whole shift and not have to worry.
I use this one http://www.ladycup.eu/ but there are others and if you want more info; http://menstrualcups.org/

Re: preventing from being wet?
+1 for the menstrual cup idea. I use the brand Diva Cup (check amazon.com...I've also seen them sold at health food stores in the natural body products section). They have a cup for women who have never had children and another cup for women who have had children.
I've only ever used mine during my period, and I wouldn't use them while on my period and stripping (too much movement plus the risk of leaking). Though many women use and love theirs while dancing on their periods! I'm just paranoid.
That being said, they'd work perfectly for this purpose. Zero risk of TSS, and they don't dry you out. I think these would work very well for you.

regular baby wipes literally burn my vag... ouch!

Re: preventing from being wet?
I was going to recommend Instead Cups. I buy mine from walgreens, and they are similar to the diva cups except they are disposable. They come with 14 in the box

Re: preventing from being wet?
ask your costume person to add a couple extra layers of fabric in your thong
-
Re: preventing from being wet?
I'm definitely gunna try out the cups sounds like my personal best bet thanks ladies! I also hope this has helped some others!

Re: preventing from being wet?
Hey, I have used the cups and tampons and I recently tried Sea Sponges- Without a doubt the most comfortable feminine product I have used in my life! They can be left in for the whole shift too without the risks associated with tampons.
I found the cups slightly uncomfy but they do the job.

Re: preventing from being wet?
Turns out you can't use any of the cups if you have an IUD since it can catch on the string :(
Flickdreams, do you purchase the sea sponges in a store or just online?
-
Re: preventing from being wet?
You can use cups with an IUD, you just have to be careful. String length plays a big role with it. Check with your OB/GYN about whether or not your string is a safe length for using a cup.

Re: preventing from being wet?
maybe those C string panties under your regular underwear will help.

Re: preventing from being wet?
I have the same problem. Long term, it might be worth looking into yeast infections, of which diet plays a big role. Short term, the sea sponges seem to be the most comfortable option in a couple of ways: a) peace of mind- by not fearing it might peak out depending on the types of stunts you do (on stage or during lap dances), and b) that it is just what its name says it is - spongey! :shy:
And guys definitely like it. I've had a guy call me "orgasmic" before. :mischievo

Re: preventing from being wet?
I have an IUD and I have nooooo problems using a cup. This shouldn't be an issue unless your OBGYN left your strings super long.
