Re: Selling your phone # & keeping privacy/separate phone
My main client from Moscow calls me fine. Sometimes the texts don't go thru but it sure beats paying a bill.
Re: Selling your phone # & keeping privacy/separate phone
I have two free texting apps. One for my personal life and one to sell for camming. I charge a one time fee of $25 for it.

Yeah, SM doesn't allow that. They want you to use the phone system that they have.
I am wanting to do this for my indie, and content customers.

I'll have to see if the text room interface works on my smartphones when I get some time later. That will really make that chat feature mobile and more like texting. I tested it via computer though and it's cool. Anyway, you can send pics and charge guys for text chat sessions using that system and, of course, you'd have the option to do cam shows with it too.
BTW, MyPhoneSite is really innovating where Niteflirt left off long ago. The platform is impressive as far as what all can be done with it. You can sell so many services and products through them. Not sure how their traffic is though. I rarely hear girls mention them.
That's because they are relatively new. And relative to NF, so is their traffic. But in terms of features and stability, they rock. And more and more features are being added all the time.
Models that sign up with MPS expecting the phone to ring without any marketing efforts on their part will be dissappointed.
But if they spend a little time and effort marketing their new 'phonesite' (eg telling their clients about it) they can make good money. The platform can also be used to pay for tips.

I use a prepay phone from AT&T...the phone was like $70 including activation. They let me use any area code I wanted, too!

I'm interested in MPS, never heard of them before now though. Espcially since you can make $ off texts. However, their site wasn't too informative. I can drive a lot of my own traffic so that isn't an issue. They seem to imply they give you a site, but I just want to build the options into my existing site like NF buttons for example. Is this possible? Also, there is no info on average prices or the percentage they take as their cut.
Would love to hear some experiences! :)
Re: Selling your phone # & keeping privacy/separate phone
Thanks for all of the input ladies! I'm going to go with Virgin Mobile, and get their android phone. no contract $55/month for unlimited everything. I think keeping things separate and having a work and a personal phone will give me less stress.

Hi SnowC, maybe since MPS are relatively new you may not have heard of them.
Your can add your own dynamic 'call me now' button to your 'official' website/blog without the surfer leaving it. MPS pay 70%, which can be shared with affiliates who help make your phone ring if you so wish. You can even upload a call button with your design, to fit the look and feel of your existing site:)
