ELM marketplace now allows selling indy cam shows and physical goods
Hey everyone. It's been a month or two since I've posted, but wanted to post a quick message to announce we've expanded our marketplace from custom and pre-made photos and videos to also include selling independent cam shows and physical goods (like panties, socks etc...).
It's free join and post. Sellers get 65% of what's sold. Payout via Alertpay and Payoneer:
Check out ExtraLunchMoney and see if it's right for you...especially if you are looking for a place to sell:
- Custom videos and pictures
- Pre-made videos and pictures
- Independent cam shows via skype or other 3rd party software
- Goods like panties, socks, etc...
If you got questions/concerns feel free to email ([email protected]) or PM me.
PS
We also launched a private escrow payment system for any item sold through private messages on the site. This means for anything you sell on the site you can have it so buyer pays the escrow account first (meaning we deduct credits from their account), you deliver the product or show to them, they approve it, and then the credits are transferred to you. Just an added way to bring trust to both sellers and buyers.
This 3 min video shows hot it works.

I do have a question. What if someone buys a cam show, I do it and then he tries not to pay? Is there anything in place where I can dispute this?

Great question. There are 3 ways you could sell cam shows: as a custom job, as an escrow payment, and through tipping. The first two ways (custom job & escrow) are more protected than tips.
With a custom job or escrow payment credits are deducted from the buyers account and held by us (the website). This means the buyer is paying up front, but not paying you directly yet. After you do the cam show and you say you did the show the buyer has a chance to approve that it actually occurred. After he approves credits get transferred to you.
It's important to note that after you accept the custom job or escrow payment that the buyer cannot cancel. Only in the case where he contacts us and makes a case for canceling can he cancel his purchase. The seller, however, has the right to cancel at anytime.
In the case where you say you did the show and he says it never happens that's where you can escalate the case to us and we will handle disputes. However, for us to be fair in handling disputes it's important messages be sent through our system and sellers keep records of the cam show (ie like a screenshot). This way we have evidence to evaluate each dispute.
I know that was a little long, but hopefully that answered your question.

What do you think of the crazy low prices that girls are offering on there?
When it opened, many of the prices were fair to the girls, now many are just plain insulting.
My main concern is that girls will be offering shows for 20 credits for 5 minutes and I'm not sure as both a supporter of the site and a user that the crappy paying customers are what any of us want.

Thanks for raising your concern.
The way we look at it is ELM is an open marketplace. We don't say how much you should or shouldn't charge for shows or your content. Every seller sets their own price and it's up to the seller to determine the value they want to set.
Sure some sellers will be willing to offer low prices for their shows. That might attract a certain type of buyer. But that doesn't mean you have to do your shows for that price. It's no different than cars. On one end you have Kia and the other end you have Ferrari. Some people only buy Kia's while others buy Ferrari's.
Our goal is to bring in a diverse group of buyers so they can find what they are looking for. For the guys who want low cam show prices they'll probably buy from those sellers. I don't think that makes them crappy buyers. That's just means price is their only buying criteria. However, other buyers might want a cam show where the model is fun, engaging, etc... and be willing to pay more for it.
Long story short. If you don't want to sell your cam shows at the same price as other sellers on the site don't feel like you need to to succeed. Like most things in life in the end you get what you pay for.

Thanks for the diplomatic answer :D
I really was curious as from a site owner's perspective, the lower the girls charge the less you get and the less they get.
I also hate seeing girls charge tiny prices when they are fucking drop dead gorgeous... using your anecdote - a Ferrari being sold for the cost of a Kia. But I guess that's my mothering instinct kicking in!
ETA: my original post was meant to be 20 minutes for 5 credits.

Here are my 2 cents. Sure it'd be nice to get more money if sellers charged more and buyers bought from them. However, in any market it's really the value that buyer's think they are getting which determines the prices. So while sellers could post high prices if no one buys then no one one gets any money. What brings a smile to our faces at ELM is when we can connect buyers to sellers and they find what they were looking for. Our favorite messages are the ones where buyers say to sellers "That's exactly what I was looking for". It doesn't always happen this way, but that's what we strive to do.
My personal feeling when it comes to buyers is that many are weary of buying anything adult online. I think they've been burned enough in the past. So that makes them especially leery of shelling out larger sums of money.
Rather than doing a "normal" adult cam show to start I would like to see lower priced "Get to know me shows". Shows where they pay a lower amount where sellers don't have to get naked, but can still interact with the buyer. This way sellers don't need to charge as much and they can better get to know the buyer. Maybe after these shows the buyer would be more willing to by a longer more regular show. Anything to build trust and that relationship helps.

Im trying to sign up. What do I put for referred by? It also just says alertpay for payment. I use payoneer. Is there a option for that?
Re: ELM marketplace now allows selling indy cam shows and physical goods
@Benic alertpay is down. It won't allow withdrawal of money to a credit card or bank so I have to use payoneer.

A referrer is not required to sign up. It's just away for us to track and reward users who refer other users. So after you sign up if you refer people you can earn extra credits.
We do both payoneer and alertpay. To learn more about how to get paynoeer setup with your account check out this wiki page.
Thanks for considering to join!
Re: ELM marketplace now allows selling indy cam shows and physical goods
I uploaded camshows as customs, but they are not showing up. :-( I would love to use ELM to sell extra shows. Do they need to be approved or something?
Re: ELM marketplace now allows selling indy cam shows and physical goods
Yeah, all jobs need to be approved before they are posted on the site. We just approved a batch of jobs so if you recently submitted jobs they should now be live on the site (so long as you have already verified your account). Thanks for giving us a shot!
