Ethan Allen but a living room set is probably around 8,000 for a couch and say three tables. Havertys and ashleys have nice furniture too but it's not going to last as long as ethan allen but I got a couch 3 tables and a dining table at ashleys for 20% off for 3,400 but the couch will likely last 5 years. I've had furniture from lazy boy and it's relitively expensive and only lasted 5 years.
Do you like contemporary? I LOVE Z Gallerie! I used to have the Mammoth sectional in white with the concentric coffee table and side table. I miss that stuff.....
I just did all new furniture & I like modern with clean lines, it just depends on your style. My ex just picked up some quality furniture from Macys.
I would give Ikea another look for SOME stuff.....we got Ikea for the kids areas, family room, basement etc......because it was going to take a beating, and we didnt want buy expensive furniture.......coffee tables, couches, entertainment centers, desks..... getting jumped on, spilled on, bumped, banged, moved around for 10 years.......still going strong, rock solid.

I selected Philadelphia and modern because that is my generally location and personal taste. Input your own info and look aruond the site in general. I love Apartment Therapy!
West Elm and Restoration Hardware are my favorites.
I'm a diehard fan of Pottery Barn. Joe and I registered there for our wedding. We've got some real nice furniture we got there that we love. Keep in mind that we haven't had this furniture for ten years or anything like that, so I don't know how this furniture does in the long-long-term, but I love the style, and everything is extremely comfortable and constructed well. A pet peeve of mine is wobbly furniture--headboards that creak, nightstands that wobble when you walk across the floor--and we have been very satisfied with Pottery Barn for that.
I want to get some furniture but I was thinking of sactionals. I get bored easily so I like to change things up often.
^^ sectionals can be hard to rearrange if they are the type that only fit one way.
Oh you like contemporary........you wouldn't like Ethan Allen then its traditional, french country, the stuff you see in model homes. They used to have a scandanavian store called scan design you would of probably liked. They still may have them by you but since your taste is somewhat eclectic I would go to boutique style furniture stores.
The ones from Lovesac? If so I'm itching to get one. I've been looking everywhere, and I like this idea because it is so easy to replace a single worn out piece, wash and change covers, and adapt to any apartment. I just want the black leather in the bigger 6 series..
I bought my couch at Copenhagan http://www.copenhagenfurniture.com/
The quality is amazing, super thick leather. I also liked the ones at Crate and Barrel- but if you don't like the stock colors there you have to wait 3-4 months.
Also look at Natuzzi if you want leather.
^ Awww ya my friend has that tv and loves it :D
I have 2 Vizio's a 46" and a 32" I've had the 32 for about 3 years now and have never had a problem. Mine are both LCD but my next tv will be at least 55" and an LED..probably another vizio
Also, the newer TV's now have wireless internet applications on them like netflix or hulu.
Love that couch!
Moving into my first apartment without any roommates within a week or two. Excited to start buying furniture and decorating how I want to! :D
