The more I think, the MORE nervous I get
So I am already self concious about my stretch marks.....I put it in the back of my mind once I decided I wanted to go back to dancing. But the more I think about it the less excited I'm getting and it's getting taken over by fear. As I've said in my other my post, to me my looks are everything because personally my personality bites. I am a quiet shy little bookworm lol. I would be much happier in a Starbucks curled up in a chair with my oversized sweatshirt deep in a book. I have a wild side but it rarely comes to light. I'm starting to contemplate of dancin really if FOR ME........ The only I would even think to go back is the money, but maybe I should have learned my lesson the first time. I only made about 50 in 1 week, not enough for tip out and I felt like my money went down the drain because I also had to buy a $350 permit to dance here in Atlanta :/
Motivation anyone?????

You've been in the club before then, so you know how forgiving the dim lighting can be. No one's going to notice your stretch marks - dudes are just going to be excited to see some naked booty! You can do this, show that permit who's boss and earn enough money to pay for it tenfold.

You're exactly right! I'll get a good cover up just to lightly cover them and let the dim lights do the rest :)

dancing might not be for you. I say this bcuz I remember you from last year & the struggles you went through then. It's ok if it isn't you just have to find something else that will make you a good income & ease your mind. if you are just determined to try this then you have to be strong & know that you can do it. it isn't always easy at first but you have to push yourself! nothing ventured nothing gained right? good luck girl.

I a shy starbucks bookworm too...but remember...you aren't YOU once you walk through those doors. Create your stripper persona and get into your SuperStripper zone everynight before you go into work.

First of all, almost every woman has stretch marks. Mine are on my legs (vertically) and my boobs because I grew insanely quickly once puberty finally hit (a couple years after everyone else at my school, but that's a different story). I went from a small B-cup to a DD in a little over a year. Having stretch marks has never interfered with my money-making, and I've never seen it become a major issue for any of the other girls.
I'm also not very outgoing in my real life. I like to spend time alone, rarely answer my phone, and get annoyed when strangers approach me in public. None of this matters when I am at work. You just put on your "work face", and go make that money. You can even think of it as playing a role. If it feels uncomfortable at first, fake it til you make it. Smile, and make a point of approaching customers and exchanging a few friendly lines of conversation, then pitching your sale. It may feel awkward at first, but just keep that smile on your face and keep doing it. After a while, you'll settle into a routine way of approaching strangers that feels more natural and comfortable.
