splitcam, manycam and for mac camtwist
they're all free
Quite frankly, I've found WebCamMax to be less buggy than Splitcam. If you wish, send me a PM to give you a free download link :)
Splitcam is annoying as heck with it's built in ads..
I'm looking to buy one so I don't have to deal with things like turning off the banner each time.
I've been considering WebCamSplitter.. I don't need it for effects or anything, I just want to record my shows and to make my firewire DV camera work with the HD encoder (need to change the video resolution on the fly)
I'm currently using a Logitech Orb and constantly using the mouse with lubed up hands gets annoying... LOL
I purchased an Eagletron TrackerPod IR to use with my DV camera.. should be an interesting setup..

I just tried out the latest WebCamSplitter version and found it too buggy :/ From time to time it just to 100% CPU usage and it froze up many times. WebCamMax is a little bit more taxing on the CPU (I'm still rocking a Core 2 Duo E6600 @3.2GHz, so with newer systems, that problem should be eliminated), but it's more stable. If you want a link to it, PM me.
Anyone use Webcamsplitter pro? Says you can do up to fur different things. Talk about brining in the money lol.
If you still have the link I would love it if you could send it my way KarinaGiselle. Thanks =)
Splicam gave me lots of issues including freezing my cam so I switched to Manycam.
I've tried WebCamMax for a while. However, I've noticed that the image quality tends to degrade a bit (this is on a Logitech C510 which has a good image quality) when recording video through that software. I haven't tried streaming but I doubt the quality gets better (it's capped to 640x480 at 30fps). I can record better video with the Logitech software.
