Going back to sites after a long break
I know that if you do not go on MFC for 60 days (I believe) when you do go back, you get a little tag that says "She's back!" However, what about SM or Imlive?
When I first started camming, I focused mostly on MFC, but when it was frustrating me, I would occasionally pop on SM. I would get so annoyed with that site that I couldn't bring myself to stay on for more than 10 minutes at a time, and finally just didn't go back. As far as Imlive goes, I never even went on cam after setting myself up, so I don't even know how I could do on there. While my main focus is still MFC, I'd like to seriously try out SM and IL again (or at least SM). Am I screwed in terms of getting any sort of traffic? (I haven't gone on SM since the middle of August). I thought about just deleting and recreating my accounts, but when I did that with MFC awhile ago to reset my camscore, they got all pissy with me (they let me do it but basically told me not to try it again). Does anyone know how SM and IL are about long breaks or re-doing accounts?
Re: Going back to sites after a long break
I have taken a long break from my camsites to try a few others and oddly enough when I return from my break, I do even better.
It seems to me if I am on these sites day in and day out for long periods of time my profile goes stale for lack of a better word and then...
I take a long break and reappear and my long lost regs are all "we miss you" "where have you been" and new custies are like "I have never seen you here before"
Miss me hmmm? I missed you too, especially your wallet!!!

I had quit ImLive a while ago, and somewhat recently I had my account re-opened, because I was really missing that site. :P
When they re-opened my account, all of the information I had typed in my profile was still there. :) Even the old snapshots were still there on my profile, but I got rid of most of those and replaced them with newer pics.
I think you should give ImLive another shot. Though it has its flaws (all cam sites do), I'm glad to be back on there, and love the fact that I don't have to be in free chat all day. LOL.
Re: Going back to sites after a long break
^^ I never actually closed my account. I just stopped going on there. Would I have to close it and have it re-opened in order for my traffic not to suffer? I honestly have no clue how IL does scores or places models on the page.
Re: Going back to sites after a long break
Ok, so I just tried to sign in to my old SM account, and it's telling me my email address isn't even in there... do they delete inactive accounts after a certain amount of time?
Also, do SM or IL allow you to change your cam name? I did it on MFC, but I see nowhere to do it on IL... I really hate the first name I picked out, and would rather change it, but I don't want them getting mad and telling me I can't create a new account and have to just re-open my old one and deal with the first name I chose...

I don't know, but you'll want to e-mail them. [email protected]
Maybe someone else here can clarify, but don't they give higher placement to models who are rated 5 stars, online at that moment, and/or in Hall of Fame and/or currently doing free video chat and/or doing the weekend party themes?
Either way, e-mail ImLive when you get a chance. I think you may be worrying a little too much about traffic. It's not like MyFreeCams where a 600 cam score model has less traffic than the 6,000 cam score models.
Plus, when you return to your old account, you can still send out messages to all those guys who were on your mailing list.
And I have a feeling that if you create a new account, they'd require you to do those bullshit mandatory hours of free video chat. I was lucky enough to have joined ImLive back when that wasn't a requirement.
Re: Going back to sites after a long break
yes imlive allow you to cange your nickname up to 3 times , you wont get any icon with "shes back " but you can send a blast email to the old costumers

Yes SM deletes inactive accounts. They did it to my first account but it was a blessing because I am just rocking it with this account.
Re: Going back to sites after a long break
Does anyone know how long u have to be inactive on sm before they delete ur account?
Re: Going back to sites after a long break

Is there a link for this I'm just not seeing on the page, or do I need to email them and ask for a change?
