I don't have an amazon wishlist for this reason. Also this gives anyone the idea of where you are. If the guy can't spend money on the site then he has no business asking about amazon. Some guys do this just to find out where you are. Also if there is an issue with shipping the company may release your EXACT ADDRESS to the PURCHASING PARTY.
DO YOU WANT SOME RANDOM GUY THAT CAN'T AFFORD A PRIVATE TO HAVE YOUR PHYSICAL ADDRESS? It has happened to a few models already, just be careful.
A while ago, a top model on MFC had a guy come into her room and told her he bought her this ridiculous gift (like a car or something). It showed up as purchased and she got all excited, as did the room. Then the dude cancelled it. It happened to a couple different models around the same time, big ticket items like laptops and fuck machines. The dude(s) was trying to get attention, free stuff, etc. I'm so paranoid about my wishlist because of that. Sometimes I might come off kinda bitchy and I don't mean to but I won't get excited until the present is in my hot little hands.
WORD to what cherryblossom said!
A model on another forum said that for a few weeks on MFC, she wasn't earning her daily goal because guys were buying her Amazon gifts instead of tipping her. SMH. That would piss me off. Amazon is cool, but it doesn't pay the bills and it doesn't help my cam score. LOL.
Yeah, I think it's silly for guys to focus on Amazon so much when they can just pay the model $$$ right there on MFC. Come on now.....there's even a $2.99 token package. :P The excuses people give for not tipping are pretty lame...lol.
^^^ so true!
I'm so sorry that happened. Yeah, amazon wishlists are tricky. I found they are only good if you have a sugar daddy whale on a site like MFC or something, and they are just doing it because they want to. (I've had that happen, but then the guy turned out to be obsessive, lol, so it wasn't really a win-win situation. I got nice stuff out of it tho :P)
But Amazon wishlist items are never good for payment on shows or anything for that reason. :(
However, amazon gift cards can't be returned back. I would definitely recommend those! It is much better to have cash, so if it is on a site that allows off-site contact, I like to just have tokens. But if you have an occasional skype show with a good, old time regular, it is nice to have amazon giftcards from time to time.
There's a guy named Skyy John on YouTube. He interviewed me for his show, seemed like a cool guy.

That isn't your scammer is it?
I only put stuff on my wishlist that I actually want/need, and nothing too expensive. I've had guys buy off my wishlist and say that their wives would notice big purchases to ccbill/mfc but wouldn't be suspicious about amazon.
If you are using amazon for payment, get an e-giftcard and redeem it first thing! Once you redeem it, they can't retract it.
I had one guy say he purchased something off my wishlist and then cancelled it. It sucked, it was an item I really wanted. Thank God he was one of my financial dom guys because he wasn't looking for anything in return so I didn't get screwed out of anything.
From now on if a guy purchases something on my wishlist I wait til I have gotten the item or I tell them to give me a gift card for the item price and shipping and then I'll give them the custom clip/skype.
Is this your scammer? I came across a guy who did the exact same thing. I didn't believe him because of your post. He asked for skype and I was extremely hesitate because of this post. Thanks for the heads up! If that is him I'll post his new username.
Guys do that alllll the time...I do thank you pics, vids when people buy items from my list but I do not make them until I physically receive the item and I let them know that.
I have a couple subs that are always asking me to make a wishlist. Honestly, I think they are more trouble than they are worth. Sorry this happened to you, OP!
My guys get nothing from me until I've picked up my gift from my shipping address. Good thing you only viewed his cam for a few minutes!
WOW... He basically bought two SLR cameras from my wishlist and I was like WOW at first, then I was like wait a minuite. Who would buy me two slr cameras! Thats when I realized it was getting extremely fishy. So i googled Amazon Wishlist Scams and found your thread. I was very thankful to have found it.
I realized what he was doing. Once my ATM card expired and I placed a few orders on amazon. Everything went through, the order said complete and everything. Then 4 hours later I got a notice that my card could not be charged and to update the payment status or cancel it. I'm pretty sure this guy is using an old account that still has an expired card on it, or something similar. Someone should take a Snap shot of him and post it in this thread just incase he removes his videos. That way all future models out there will recognize him.
This is his new username "xcalizorz" so be sure to ad him to your ban list that way he cant view you
I never get excited until the item is in my hand.
Even with my regulars I don't send them a video till I get the item or whatever they want if they want anything at all, the majority of the time they dont want anything. Get the gift first then do the show/send them vids.
Really, it just makes sense to wait until you get the item. I always try to record myself opening gifts off my wishlist and then send it to the dude as a thank you. If it's a more expensive item (as in, not a $5 Doctor Who magnet), then I'll make the video into something more naughty. But you couldn't possibly thank them properly until you actually receive the gift (at least, that's what you tell them.)
do u ladies know if like ebay gift cards are safe and worth it.. or say e-gift cards.. think they are called. my fav. store abercrombie has them..not sure how to around that..

Amen.
Common sense of the internet, ladies: When you recieve an email, ALWAYS double-check the sending address. If your email client allows it, you should be able to view the REAL address it was sent from by clicking through to view more info, even if they mask it. GMail is great for this.
For those of you that know the basics of html, view the email's source. Anything like
<a href="ACTUAL URL HERE">NAME OF LINK AS YOU SEE IT HERE</a>
the tags should match! This way, you should be able to see the actual link you're going to, rather than the text they WANT you to see. If it's a shortened URL, the service used should have a preview function on their site.
Don't mind my blah-blahing.
Hi Girls, m new here in SW.
I have a quick question about Amazon Wishlist. I am planning to get one, but after reading this I am worried as well.
1. As you said the guy cancels the items. Is there a big risk here?
2. How to I mask my address? I don't want the person to know my home address.
If anyone can help me with these questions, that would be great.
Thank you!
1. As you said the guy cancels the items. Is there a big risk here?
Do not ever accept wishlist gifts as payment for cam sessions. As long as they are only using it to buy gifts, not for payment there is no risk to you if they cancel.
2. How to I mask my address? I don't want the person to know my home address.
Your full address is hidden in your wishlist, but your full name and city, state are still public. So do not use your real name...make sure to use a completely fake name. My mail has always gotten to me regardless this way. Also, make very sure to remove the option to accept gifts from 3-rd party sellers, because oftentimes, they will reveal your full address in the receipt they send to the guy. When searching for things to put on my wishlist, I *always* only find items sold directly by Amazon.com, as they always keep that information private.
i am sorry i am stupid about amazon wish lists.. how do you get a gift card?? i buy stuff on there all the time.. just don't know about this .. and how is it safe.. that's why i dont have a wishlist set up because i do not have a po box anymore.. after recession i had to cut expenses.
You can make a wishlist, and just put a gift card on there, or send the guy a link to thier gift card page to buy you one:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/gc
It comes to your email with a code, you enter the code into your account and it credits your account with the value of the card that you can use to go shopping with. A lot of ladies who do not want a wishlist go this route.
ETA: A lot of guys do a scam thing with the gift card, and have sent fake ones that look a lot like the real thing. It takes awhile sometimes for gc's to clear and send to you, so some take advantage of that, and will want to use it as a method of payment, send you a copy of thier reciept, except the receipt is not real either and the gc never arrives.
So yeah, either way, def a good idea not to use this as payment. And also, with reading about guys putting virus' in links they send out, not a good idea to click on any links in the email either. The code comes right in the email, so its best to just go to your acount and manually type the code in. I have had it happen to me once where I got a fake gc, and the code I put in didnt work.
Ok,
So there's no way to block my home address?
Coz I dont want them to find out that I live in another country.
Yea, I can use a fake name but how to block the address so they can't have it?
Thanks
