Re: Guide to splitcamming
Does ManyCam supports HD streaming? The only software I know that does this is splitcam, and it's buggy as hell! WebCamMax does NOT support HD video and for some reason it degrades video quality :(

Yes you can use the HD encoder as well as a HD webcam. I don't know if they "support" it per say, but I can tell you it works fine with me. I use the HD encoder on streamate and my webcam is a HD webcam.
Re: Guide to splitcamming
Now I'm confused regarding the way to set things up :S LOL
So let me get this straight: There IS a way to stream on HD to, let's say, Streamate, and have, let's say, two non HD streams at the same time (let's say, to ImLive and MFC), right?
How would things have to be set up? I'm assuming you're using only one webcam for everything, is that correct?
Re: Guide to splitcamming
i have a question, so what if you were to get 2 or more prvts at one time but these guys are requesting different things from you at the same time, what do you do? i have always been curious about split camming, just dunno if i have the guts to try it, lol.

You are making it more complicated then it is.
You just select your camera in the manycam settings then select manycam as your video source in the encoder.
Will still work fine on MFC and imlive. Just gotta make sure manycam is your selected camera.
Yes this is the way to stream in HD on one site and SD (standard definition) on the others.

Well hopefully you are charging a bit more for exclusive 1-on-1. If a guy does not like sharing me-tough titty for him. However if he is say in exclusive or has pre-arranged with me a skype show then I will turn down other privates in the mean time.
That said I try my best to please everyone and all my ratings are 5 star. Usually I can handle 2-3 privates at a time, as most just want light domination and to see my hairy parts :)
Re: Guide to splitcamming
I just wanted to say thanks so much for this post and damn girl, hu$tle!!
Re: Guide to splitcamming
I've tried Splitcam again. Seems like they've been improving it. What I notice is that once HD resolutions come into play, the CPU usage skyrockets, then again, my current CPU isn't new. I guess the CPU usage isn't so high with newer processors (such as Intel's Core i7).
Re: Guide to splitcamming
running ManyCam on my macbook pro! amaziiing!!!
Re: Guide to splitcamming
Thanks so much for this post! I have only been camming over a month so it is going to take me a while to get used to just doing one site -- but I am super excited to know that this information is here so I can try it in the future.
Re: Guide to splitcamming
I def wanna try this because it means more money, but it is a bit overwhelming at first. Which Im sure won't be so bad once I get the hang of it. Just have to get used to the juggling more guests at a time. Exciting though!
Re: Guide to splitcamming
Awesome guide, thanks!
I've been thinking about splitcamming SM and MFC, and maybe ImLive once I get approved. Seems a lot easier than switching back and fourth when one site gets slow.
Re: Guide to splitcamming
The only issue with this is that ImLive and Streamate do NOT approve spitcamming, so if you somehow get caught, it'll be a HUGE issue, possibly causing a permaban from the site.

Re: Guide to splitcamming
This really belongs in verified.
Re: Guide to splitcamming
:-\ Crud, guess I cant even do this for one of the websites Im on. Guess I better find the websites that do. Im sure theres a seperate thread here for sites that allow split camming so I'll be searching.

I am not verified (nor do I care to be) and I am sure there are others in my boat. Camming connection is for everyone.
Re: Guide to splitcamming
TBH I agree with Jenny. I can't get verified yet (for technical and personal reasons) and I feel like this kind of info should remain in the public side of camming connection. Unless there are some very good reasons to keep it in the verified section, why delete it?

Why? I don't see the harm in having a private place where male lurkers and studios can't get to useful information.
Re: Guide to splitcamming
I got the PM from Nikki and I understand the reasons now. Up to you to decide what to do with the thread :)
Re: Guide to splitcamming
Ohhhh, you own a studio. No wonder.
