Safety of internet based side job conflict with camming
The title doesn't really explain it but here's the deal. Recently, I got recruited as a Team Beach body Coach. Its basically MLM (multi level marketing) like Avon, but for fitness. Anyway, I'll be doing ALOT of internet interactions, marketing, and people in general. Well.. here's the thing, i'm worried about using my real name while selling this for fear it could bring on Stalkers that see my real name. I talked to the Rep and even he said it was cool to use a fake name, so should I use my fake name I use for Camming, or even a new one? Use my camming to market my other products? I'm not really sure how to handle this one, or if I should just roll with it and hope no one recognizes me. Its kinda a grey area...What do you guys think?
Re: Safety of internet based side job conflict with camming
Hmmm... if the company you work for doesn't mind, then I don't see why not. It could definitely bring you extra business to use your cam name. But then again, it's a question of how much of yourself you want out there. But if this company isn't okay with adult stuff, it may come back to bite you in the ass later, so it's probably better to find out first.
Re: Safety of internet based side job conflict with camming
Well I dont think they care too much. its basically like if you sell and make money they're cool with it. They have alot of coaches.. So im thinking it could work out. right now i'm lucky, Most my family knows about the camming, even the guy im seeing does, and they are all cool with it. Its more just a issue of getting IRL stalkers. Which im just gonna go ahead and assume it'll happen, but better to not invite it. I figure using my camming name at least it'll go to more profit, maybe one group to the next? haha. but then my real name still wont be found out. BUT if someone sees my say BB coaching profile and it has my real name then they'll tie it to that and be able to actually find me? Idk. i should have thought about this first..
Re: Safety of internet based side job conflict with camming
They wouldn't care. She would be a 1099 like she would with us based camming companies. I have worked other "work from home" jobs besides camming, like with make up and stuff and I always used my real name, I would think you would have to use your real name if you want to get paid as far as your paperwork and taxes go, but if you are marketing you can probably use an alias name. I think it would really only interfere if you are going to advertise your beach body with your camming customers, otherwise I am not sure anyone would notice. Or if you don't use pictures of yourself while marketing? But then again if you were selling beachbody to me I would want to see the results you are getting with the program.....
Idk I am not much help. I always used my real name with other online businesses but I guess the difference is it was for women products so It would have been sort of rare if a cam guy found me. With beachbody you would be selling to men and women.
I thought of selling beachbody before, but I am not very good at selling products and pushing sales on people, hard for me.
Camming is so much easier. I am sure you will be fine with whatever you decide to do. Just keep in mind tax issues and such.
Re: Safety of internet based side job conflict with camming
I would use a different alias. I'm not seeing the benefit in mixing the two endeavors by using the same name. In fact, if you get conservative BB people on board, it could backfire in a bad way for your profits there.
Re: Safety of internet based side job conflict with camming
I wouldn't risk it. Using your cam name for another business is just one more place for someone to find more information on you. Go with an second alias!
I also do not see the benefit of mixing the two. Fitness people are not good targets for advertising your pornography business. It would be like advertising power tools to kindergartners.
It just opens up a whole other level of 'issues', and for what benefit?
Re: Safety of internet based side job conflict with camming
I would make up a totally new fake name. if you run into any nut cases you don't want them to google that name and come up with your cam!
Re: Safety of internet based side job conflict with camming
So I'm thinking that im just gonna come up with a second Alias! haha Im gonna have some serious identity crisis after this! haha
