***The $10,000 Club- 2012***
I'm starting this thread over for the new year! I wish you all a happy and healthy 2012.
Great job to those that participated in 2011. I'm hoping there will be more members here that will jump onto the money saving bandwagon.
Consider 2012 YOUR year for change and improvement, whether it be going back to school, improving your relationships, giving yourself that new look or just saving money. Know that you can do it. Hold your head high, and tell yourself that you can be the best individual you're capable of being.
Change isn't an easy route. It takes tiny steps to get to where you want to be. You need to be committed, and you need to feel that desire in your heart. This is why more than 90% of people never live up to their new years resolutions. They say, but they don't feel.
I never lived up to any of mine, UNTIL NOW. I told myself it's NOW OR NEVER to change my ways. In addition to saving money, (I haven't been to work this year and I'm starting at $0.00.) I will be working on my passion for writing, my diet, my health and my spirituality.
Embrace change.
Take it one step, one dollar, at a time.

Re: ***The $10,000 Club- 2012***
I'm so, SO in!!!!
Last year my savings kinda tanked as I had a few things come up in my personal life that drained them, but at least it meant I had the savings to get me through it! In 2012 I'm moving cities and currently looking for a new club, and I'm treating it like a business in terms of specific work hours, no taking time off when I feel like it, having specific things that are business expenses etc. I think I should be able to get my $10K by allocating a set amount to save each month, and then anything extra I can add to it will be even better.
Not all of my $10K is going to savings though, I want to save part of it as an emergency fund, and then after that some will go towards me getting Lasik, and the rest I'll put into paying off my student loans early.
I have a really good feeling about 2012! ;D

Re: ***The $10,000 Club- 2012***
In - again. This time it's 10K by July - without dancing, an 30K in savings by the end of the year.
I'm not getting any younger. Time to start accumulating some net worth.
Good luck all you ladies! We can do it!

Re: ***The $10,000 Club- 2012***
I'm going to boost my earnings this year, going with things from the law of attraction thread! I've just got a part time day job, which may get in the way of dancing a bit but i will stay positive and see my income rise. Aiming to get 6 months rent down first so i can get a nice new place, then we'll see about 10k. Stay positive everyone!

Re: ***The $10,000 Club- 2012***
well I'm up about a grand on my SSO shares, and up another $500 on my USO shares, for the week ... which required maybe 1/2 hour worth of 'work' ! Now if Europe really bails out the PIIGS and/or Iran really blocks the straits of Hormuz, I should hit $10k in earnings the very next day !

Yup, enduring the 'pain' of saving money and building net worth NOW sure pays big dividends later ^^^ !!!

Re: ***The $10,000 Club- 2012***
I am also in!
I havent been dancing for over 2 years but going back in 2 weeks more or less. I have a serious plan this time that I will follow and go through with. I have been preparing for a year already by applying the law of attraction to every area of my life. And it is working. A year ago I was a wreck, alone with a newborn and broken down from a horrible relationshop and totally BROKE. It was the lowest point of my life. Now one year later I have about 3000 USD in the bank (I didnt dance but I was selling dancerwear to girls and also online.) During 2011 I have also studied almost a full academic year, I have my final exams for 2011 next week. I am on my way to a BA in economics. I have also been working out and going to yoga class for 4-5 times a week since end of August and my body has never looked better, I am 32. I KNOW that change is possible and I know that 2012 will be such an amazing year!
Whenever I am walking somewhere or going on the train I listen to audiobooks about the law of attraction and I have also been listening to "Think and go rich" 3-4 times already. I have a written statement with an exact amount I plan to have by the 30th of July 2013 and I read it out loud every day!

Re: ***The $10,000 Club- 2012***
I want to put a total of 50k in savings this year. This is totally possible - it just means I have to put in a lot of work. I'm talking 5 days a week as many weeks as I can. I plan to work like I have a pimp.
-
Re: ***The $10,000 Club- 2012***
Definitely joining this club! But I'm a little disappointed because the club I started at is not that great.. I worked last night and Tuesday night and only made about 500 :( I think I'll give this club another week or so and see if it gets better or I'll try somewhere else. I'm determined to have a savings account with 10k in it that I will NOT touch! Good luck everyone! :)

Re: ***The $10,000 Club- 2012***
totally possible. melonie has given a lot of good advice about saving money. a couple of things that stood out to me most was no brand new luxury cars and work in the most profitable clubs in the most profitable areas (meaning travel if necessary).

Re: ***The $10,000 Club- 2012***
I'm in! I think $10K is extremely doable. I actually need $12K more, in bonds so I guess I'll start there. I'm also paying for school, in cash. I'm working part-time, so $10K, cash is a reasonable goal to make. I'm confident! :)

unfortunately for me, travel costs way more than staying stationary. I don't mind - my club has good money :)

Re: ***The $10,000 Club- 2012***
You ladies are inspiring!! Just remember, in this industry it's often easier to make money the less you work..No one is counting hours...just dollars! So do whatever makes you the most $$$!

Re: ***The $10,000 Club- 2012***
I'm in!
My goal is $20,000 (as far as savings go) - 10k to put in a diversified portfolio of mutual funds/stocks/bonds, and the other 10k in a money market/savings account...Hopefully it will be way more than that, but I want a minimum of 20k!
As smeca said, I'm utilizing LOA, and I've also been putting in work stepping up my workouts and eating/beauty regiments. I'm very excited about this year, and my new sense of strong focus & direction!
Let's do this :D

Re: ***The $10,000 Club- 2012***
In!
I have about $7,000 left to pay back in student loans. I want to get those suckers finally paid off, have 10,000 in the bank, and enough for either my boobies (6,900) or a trip to Europe by the end of the year.
It's attainable if I can just saaaave. Hopefully I got most of my crazy spending for the year out of my system...just bought a fancy new phone and managed to ring up a $200 "entertainment" tab already this week. Bad girl. ><

Re: ***The $10,000 Club- 2012***
Okay, as humiliating as it may be, I'm going to share my earnings on here also. I made 383 last night, I'm aware that is bad for a Friday but if you're not doing extras in Miami its to be expected and I'm okay with it. I had $100 in expenses, I had to buy new shoes and pay for child care while I worked. So I'm on top 283. I'm going to buy one of my school books with this money (90) and the rest will go into savings. So, that's 193. I know it's not a lot but, hey, most people find it hard to put away 100 dollars in a single month, did it in a single night so I'm gonna stay positive.

Re: ***The $10,000 Club- 2012***
Way to go, lokikola :)
My goal is put away $70/shift which sounds totally doable :) and add a lump sum of cash whenever I can. Unfortunately, I got very inconsistent with working towards the end of the year. This year will be different. I will work three shifts or more every week and not get lazy!
BTW, ladies, I put a link to this thread in the "Best of SW" sticky on the front page in case it drifts and you can't find it, since apparently you can't search "10,000" and have the thread come up. Hopefully, it'll never leave the first page since I'M SURE we'll all be updating regularly :)

Re: ***The $10,000 Club- 2012***
I'm in! I have to pay off around $3,500 dollars of debt, but after that - all my money this year goes to savings! I will try to update as often as I can. I am excited to have people to share this goal with as sometimes it is hard to motivate myself when I am working towards achieving something on my own.
