My experiment and hypothesis: Help me create a new alter ego
Scientific Method Step 1: Make Observations
Blonde hair and fake tits= Top of the food chain apex predator
Scientific Method Step 2: Propose a Hypothesis
Switching to a blonde hair color may up my earnings
Scientific Method Step 3: Design an Experiment to Test the Hypothesis
I'm going to buy a blonde wig even though I might look ridiculous and work at a few clubs where nobody knows me. I'm going to track my earnings as a blonde vs a brunette.
Scientific Method Step 4: Test the Hypothesis n/a
I worked at all my clubs in PA and back in Albuquerque. I went one night brunette and didn't make money until the last hour.
Scientific Method Step 5: Accept or Reject the Hypothesis n/a
Accepted
Scientific Method Step 6: Revise the Hypothesis (Rejected) or Draw Conclusions (Accepted) n/a Blondes may not have more fun, but they generally attract more attention and more $$$$$ (potentially)
The rest is where I need help. I need to create a new alter ego completely removed from the little goth girl. Think blonde hair, bright colors and a cheerful personality. I need a new name too. Put on your thinking caps ladies!!!!!
This isn't going to be long term. I plan on creating a blog about this. ;D
PS: Anyone know any good wigshops in the burbs or in the city?

Re: My experiment and hypothesis: Help me create a new alter ego
That's a cool idea, but unfortunately there's no way of really knowing how it affects your earnings, cause it might just be the new club or whatever other factor. Also, make sure it's a good, real looking wig, because if not I think it's gonna adversely affect your earnings..

Re: My experiment and hypothesis: Help me create a new alter ego
I LOVE this idea. Fuckin brilliant. I think you should keep your personality, in order for it to truly be the blonde factor, all other factors need to remain the same. It could be being friendly to customers that makes you more money... and besides, who really wants to be nice to them anyway? lol
When Avery switched to blonde, she kept the rest of her look the same. Her tattoos still make her seem "punk rock" to customers. She would be a good person to chime in about this.

Re: My experiment and hypothesis: Help me create a new alter ego
Something like the blond vixen cartoon character "Holly Wood". Or blond barbie'ish rocker.

Re: My experiment and hypothesis: Help me create a new alter ego
I'm such a SW lurker, but I know you've been around, Tempest. And you seem like a kick ass super hustler. So I'm fairly certain you're going to kill 'em all and make all the money with your apex predator persona.

Re: My experiment and hypothesis: Help me create a new alter ego
This sounds like it will be amazing.
I would go for the bubbly, ditzy variety to make it really fun. Fifi Mahony's in NOLA has FANTASTIC wigs at good prices:
As for the new name? I would go with something like Angel, Jenna, Kendall, Molly or Tiffany.

Re: My experiment and hypothesis: Help me create a new alter ego
Names: rainbow, glitter, and sparkles LOL. I'm just kidding.
Really? Tiffany Nikki or Brittany.
I wish u luck in ur endeavour. I wish I could be there to see the new tempest. Take some pictures!
And be happy Smiley and bubbly. Think cheerleader!

Re: My experiment and hypothesis: Help me create a new alter ego
Think hot, bubbly scene girl. Why? Becasue you do have tats, so you can't pull off the straight up "Blonde Pagent Girl" look. But the naughty, preppy blonde with a sexy-side can work.
Excited to see images of preppy-Tempest.
What are you thinking for the piercing situation?

Re: My experiment and hypothesis: Help me create a new alter ego
I'm looking @ wigs on ebay right now. I know that platinum blonde is obviously out because even when you're as pale as I am, I'm still half Spanish with olive undertones. Anyone with my similar skin tone have any suggestions?

Re: My experiment and hypothesis: Help me create a new alter ego
Tempest: I'm a big wig fan and while I've bought a few wigs on Ebay, sometimes the brand isn't listed and it's not clear what brand or color code you're getting. My new favorite resource is voguewigs.com. They do a lot of high quality synthetics. I recommend the "Forever Young" brand or the "Hairsense" brand. The best colors have been 96, 24, 27 and a mix of highlights or streaks of any of those colors with 613. 613 (platinum) alone looks ridiculous. It's completely plastic-looking :-( But I've done some research on how to "dye" with roots and add lowlights with ink. Good luck! Being a blonde is fun! Like, yay, omgg heheheheee! Go team!

Re: My experiment and hypothesis: Help me create a new alter ego
:-) I say go for it. REading your post I could envision a 3-paneled white poster board loaded with pictures of your scientific method...
I really like the name Tiffany for your new alter Ego.

Re: My experiment and hypothesis: Help me create a new alter ego
I have a slight olive to my skin, especially next to my hubby and daughter.
A honey blonde looks best on me. I would try that for you, too.

Ohhh...having blonde hair, it's A LOT easier for me to make money.
I'm not as "goth" or "intimidating" (I've been told)..lol
In fact, my hair is so light now, that guys don't even seem to notice my tattoos.
I kinda play up the "rocker Barbie" thing, and it really, really, really works! (at least for me!) :D

Not bad at all Tempest! You look good as a blond. :)

Re: My experiment and hypothesis: Help me create a new alter ego
Ooooh...I've been wanting to try blonde for awhile. Do you have to buy a wig cap to wear a wig? I know nothing!
Tempest--you look surprisingly good as a blonde! Where'd you buy your wig?

Re: My experiment and hypothesis: Help me create a new alter ego
Thanks everyone!!!!!! I love it. I wore a wigcap (I had to since my hair is long) And I got my wig at this beauty supply store in the hood. It was something to see. It was high noon so I was stumbling around with dark sunglasses half delirious (I figured I'd have to stay up since it was open 9-5)
Just picture 2 goth kids in trench coats walking around the hood. (I googled it ad it was the nearest one) :D
I loved their selection, probably won't go to another place unless they have a better selection.
