Why do you ask customers personal questions??
I go to a SC to have a 20 something girl on my lap and cheer me up......You dont do that if you keep asking me if im single, what my longest relationship was, how old I am, if I have kids. Telling me that youre single is not going to get me to spend any more money on you.......it might work against you as I would assume youre just making that up trying to create a connection.
Just keep dancing, smile, start conversations and stay away from personal questions and ill keep spending. :)

thank god these men are here to help me learn how to do my job!

Re: Why do you ask customers personal questions??
Well what is she doing sitting on your lap so long that she's resorted to asking you personal questions?! Get off your ass and buy dances! I bet she won't be talking much then ;D

Re: Why do you ask customers personal questions??
I would guess one reason for asking personal questions is to make the customer think there is some sort of personal connection taking place. It's all part of the game.

Re: Why do you ask customers personal questions??
To build rapport, usually.

Re: Why do you ask customers personal questions??
This topic has come up before. The reality is that the dancers have to talk about SOMETHING while they're sitting there with you. That said, I also tend to be in the camp that talking about kids, whether it be the customer's kids or the dancer's kids, is a poor choice of conversation for this environment. Unless the guy brings it up, there's no reason to delve into what is by its nature a mood-killing topic.

If I am not interested in a dancer I tell her no thanks as soon as she comes up......I dont waste anyone's time. If I am I dont waste time and ask her for a dance. It useally happens as fast as getting her name. Im an easy sale. :) Dont just assume :)

Its like me asking you personal questions, do you like it?

Re: Why do you ask customers personal questions??
Don't worry, I won't ever ask you how old you are, if you're married or how you're feeling. Becasue I don't give a shit.
I may ask whens you payday.
And yeah - it's a Strip Club dude. If you don't like the entertainment, tell her to dance for money or go away....
Balls. Grow some.

Re: Why do you ask customers personal questions??
Some people like to talk about their kids. What's wrong with that? Maybe they have a more fulfilling life than you do. The other topics you raised, single/married/ex's, those are buzz kills, I agree. I see too many posts from guys and couples who need their emotional well being to be stroked by a stranger.
You want them to cheer you up? I hope they make you more miserable than you already are.

You just made my night. I can't stop laughing.

Re: Why do you ask customers personal questions??
Then you should have changed the topics or told her you rather not dicuss personal questions.
We can always sit on your lap and say nothing until you get annoyed and spend.. Either way we dont remember you within the next day.. dont take it too seriously

Re: Why do you ask customers personal questions??
Personal questions are too be expected. Getting in your head is to be expected. You have a choice about whether or not to let them in.
Play the game, have fun and stop thinking so much.
Now if only I could follow my own advice... ;)

Lmao!
BigDog, that girl sounds like a newb.

Re: Why do you ask customers personal questions??
Because there is nothing else to talk about. Trust me, we don't really give a shit whether or not you are single, your age or whether or not you have a dog. I hate asking personal questions so sometimes I just sit on their lap and stare at them stupidly and awkwardly until they ask for a dance. It works more often than you would imagine.

That's exactly what she is doing.....trying to get into your head in order to enable getting into your wallet.
And why would you hire an escort to build a connection or rapport? The reason a guy hires an escort is because they either can't or don't want to build a connection or rapport.

This is not always the case. While the primary reason for hiring a sex worker is to have sex that does not mean a connection can not be formed. The fact is, the sex may very well get better as two total strangers get to know each other's likes and dislikes. Also, activities beyond an hour or two spent in a hotel room may become part of the time spent. Personally, I would probably never see a particular escort more than a few times if a rapport did not start to develop. The same applies to a dancer. We all have different wants and expectations.

I never said a connection could not be formed. I merely said forming a connection wasn't the reason for hiring a sex worker (or a dancer) in the first place. I formed connections with a few dancers and one escort that were good enough to develop into RL friendships. That was not my intention when we initially interacted. I also developed some in-club connections with dancers over the years that weren't part of my initial game plan either.

Re: Why do you ask customers personal questions??
So would you rather have her sit in your lap and
A) Make funny faces until you pulled out your wallet
B) Ask innocent but personnal questions
C) Ask about your last abduction by aliens complete with anal probing
???

Right, and I disagree. You know what you want when you call an escort. You don't know what anyone else wants. It's a big world out there Bem. Lot's of folks are motivated differently...

I find it hard to believe that anyone would be willing to pay the escort rate for something other than sex but I guess its possible such people exist.

Re: Why do you ask customers personal questions??
See, here is what is really stupid, though. Instead of telling the particular dancer that may be doing whateverthefuck it is you don't like, you come onto this forum and bitch about it, so we are annoyed, justifiably. I just want you to understand that creating an account here and whining about a particular experience in the strip club is not going to revolutionize the industry or change our work tactics. Find the nerve to tell the dancer you'd like to keep the conversation light, and just want to have fun, if she is worth your money she will get the point, and you no longer have to troll. Please don't come back and let us know how it went.

I could spend all day listing things that I find hard to believe Bem...there is more to life than meets the eye.

Re: Why do you ask customers personal questions??
Oh Lordy, nothing amuses me more than customers who think we ask questions about them because we actually give a fuck and they get all concerned about us knowing their private lives... ::) Truth: we don't actually give a shit, but for every guy like you who doesn't want to talk, there are 100 guys who won't buy a dance unless you pretend to be interested in the mundane details of their lives.
If you don't want to talk about such topics, just say so and get up and go do dances. Don't expect dancers everywhere to change the sales strategy that works on 98% of guys on the off-chance that they might run into you... Hey, maybe instead of coming here and telling us to change how we do our job, you should go to customer sites and start preaching that customers need to stop trying to build connections with dancers and just open up their wallets so that dancers can learn stop wasting time with small talk and just start dancing and making money! I'm all for that idea! :D
-
Re: Why do you ask customers personal questions??
And in the next post "Why are you girls only money oriented?" and "How can I get the dancer to see me as a man and not a wallet?" ::)
You guys aren't one size fits all. If you just want dances, tell the dancer that and don't assume it's what EVERY customer she encounters wants. This isn't rocket science.

Re: Why do you ask customers personal questions??
