:O I guess I've been under a rock, I've heard of nothing of the sort going on. Anybody have any info? Could this mean that as camgirls we'll be out of our jobs?

When I watched Harper not only be allowed to run for Prime Minster again, but get re-elected by the Canadian people....I knew we were all freaking doomed.
I'll offer a counterbalancing opinion that this may turn out to be a 'good' thing for Canadian camgirls ... for the following reason. When the US SOPA laws do come back with a vengeance, the REAL intention will be to cut off the processing of online credit card charges by US customers attempting to make purchases at 'foreign' websites. In a webcam context, that will most likely mean that 2/3rds of the total money being spent at non-US based webcam hosts, and also at US based webcam hosts employing non-US based camgirls, will be brought to a screeching halt. In theory that would 'cost' Canadian camgirls a lot in the way of future earnings.
However, if Canada has a SOPA-like law in place that can be 'harmonized', given the NAFTA tradition it is highly likely that the SOPA 'money fence' would not be erected at the US / Canadian border. It is highly likely that US and Canadian camgirls would both be 'exempted' from the SOPA definition of 'non-US based'. It is thus highly likely that Canadian camgirls would retain their ability to access US webcam customer money ... well, as long as they were working through a US or Canadian based webcam host at any rate.
