Sorry if this is a hassle but Im new and have searched the forum but dont understand.
I just applied for my account with SM so Ill get right to it....
1. I have a pretty new Imac 27 I got for xmas, this has a built in HD cam correct? Or do I need to buy a separate one?
2. THE adobe encoder, where exactly do I download that?
3. As for Streamate what is the difference between Gold Show and Private? From what I understand Gold show I can have mulitples paying me per minute and private is just that or am I wrong? For example can I have 10 guys paying $1 a minute in Gold vs 1 guy paying $3.99/minute in private?
Sorry for bothering you all just had a few final questions to clear up
Re: Sorry if this is a hassle but Im new and have searched the forum but dont underst
1: I can't help you with the Imac, you'll have to check your specifications yourself.
2: You can download the encoder from the website once you're approved (or if you're approved already).
3 is a long one. There are two types of private chat: premium and exclusive. You can have multiple users in premium, and exclusive is one-on-one. Most charge about a dollar more for exclusive. Gold, on the other hand is sort of like a 'tipping option' that custies can give you, and when you do a gold show, you set a time and money countdown, and once you reach the goal you do your show. Gold shows are a bit like premium, but you pick a set number of minutes to do your show, and when the timer runs out you're done. Oh, and you can't be rated in a gold show.
I will say this about gold shows though: charge at least a dollar a minute if you're offering them. I also highly recommend this thread started by Isobel who kindly gives you a breakdown of how to make the most profit from your Gold Shows: http://www.stripperweb.com/forum/sho...-of-gold-shows
Hope this helped! Good luck.

I use an Imac, and I use the isight on it. Its not perfect and I'll probably be getting something better soon just because my desk sits up high and I need something I can move around more BUT to start off you should be fine. My Imac is a few years old and it works well enough. And with the encoder... I didn't use it when I first started, but thats just me. It was confusing. Not super badly but I was awkward and wanted to see myself as I was camming. I use it now and its way better. But when you first start there is nothing wrong with going with just the basics. But then again if you want to go for then you should! I know that doesnt help at all haha. As for everything else I think the girls covered it. Good luck!

I have the same Mac but the built in Cam is sure not good for a show.
You can hardly adjust it, for diffrent view and the quality sucks. Better use the Logitech C910 (HD cam), works perfect on a Mac.
