Ripped off!
So after my first 3-some months of dancing, I finally got ripped off... and by a great amount! This dude was fortunate enough to get the chance to run off before paying. Usually I am on that to make sure I dont get ripped off, but it happened today. Aside from collecting money right then and there after each dance, (which I notice stops them from getting more dances than Id like) Or all up front which is limiting. How do YOU make sure that this doesnt happen...do you let the bouncers know? I was told a few times by DJs "thats what doormen are for" when you arent allowed to miss your stage (in my club) or whatever the reason. I did let the proper people know, who let them accidentally get by, but I dont blame them entirely, I think, but do you stand by them til they pay you? I also notice when you hawk them like that, dudes really hate it and then they wont come back to you in the future or at least make some comment about your money hungriness lol.... Now I am just wondering subtle/fast ways to make sure they dont run off on you when you have to leave them for even the slightest second. I am compensated by my club thankfully, but ugh, it just sucks. I hate the dude who cheated me, I hope hes stupid enough to come back in and hell be forced to pay me back. I like my club btw. So I just want to know how to make sure youre never ripped off in any way, whether the guy has to go to the bathroom, or whatever the hell his problem is that leads him away from you before paying EVERYTHING. :( It happens though I know, Ive seen it happen, and I was aware before I started because of this site, but share what YOU do! I know yall have gotten ripped off a bit by SOME jerk.

Re: Ripped off!
I always take the money upfront, all of the other girls at my club take the money upfront too. If the guy doesn't want to pay upront I just assume that he can't afford a dance and move on.
I've had a few friends who've been ripped off by customers and never saw them again or got their money, unfornately most clubs won't compensate you if a customer doesn't pay for a dance he's already received =(
If you don't want to take money upfront then don't let the customer out of your site until he's paid you, don't even let him go to the bathroom. If he doesn't pay get one of the other girls or member of staff get a bouncer before he has a chance to leave the club. Most guys will cough up if a bouncer is involved.

Re: Ripped off!
I don't get money upfront, but I do stand by them until they pay me. Usually, I'm just getting dressed while they're getting money out. I don't think that's 'hawking' them. I mean, it would be a little weird if after the dances, I just wandered away and waited for the guy to come find me and pay me, no? It's never stopped my repeat business, and no guy has ever commented on my "money hungriness." Dance over. Time to pay. That's just how it works.
Our club does tell us not to stack dances. If you don't collect after each dance, they won't side with you if a customer disputes the amount.
I still stack dances, though. I'm comfortable stacking them up to five. Sometimes, I'll go to 10+ but I get nervous if it's not a guy I know. lol

Re: Ripped off!
Stacking dances is the norm where I work. But you don't ever leave them till they pay you. You dance, they pay. If they try to run out on you, you grab them and yell for a bouncer. If they need more cash, you walk with them to the atm. If they leave for a bathroom break, they pay you for the dances you've already done.

Re: Ripped off!
In Aus we get money upfront. I can't imagine doing it your way, too many what ifs. I agree with Raven- if he can't pay upfront I'd assume he has no money.

Re: Ripped off!
Oh yeah, and hawking/money hungriness and all that jazz? You provided a service and he pays for the service.

Re: Ripped off!
The rule in my club, and my personal rule is always money upfront and no refunds. Its not worth them having the chance not to pay and id rather get them into the dance room and find out they havent got the cash and kick them out again than get naked, waste my time and not get paid for it. Ive had customers try to get off paying up front by showing me their money and saying they'll pay after, but until its in my wedge im not taking anything off or wiggling about for no-one! Im sorry this happened to you though, some men suck ass!

Re: Ripped off!
I've only ever worked in one club where money was taken upfront, and it would just be so outside the club cultures I worked at to request it first that it just wasn't done. (TJ - I totally agree that it's harder to sell strings of dances when they pay upfront so I do prefer to collect after anyway) Still, I not once got ripped off. If the guy has to go to the ATM after the dances, I walk him to it and stand nearby - not right at the machine, and I have my back to the machine so it doesn't look like I'm trying to steal his PIN or anything, but still, very close. If there's a door by the machine, I stand in front of it. If the customer has to borrow money from a friend, I go along with him and don't leave his side until I get it.
A good trick I've read on here is that if you sense the customer is going to give you trouble, grab something of this. Oftentimes, customers will empty their pockets for a dance, so you can grab keys, a cell phone, anything he'll actually want back, and refuse to return it until he pays you. If he needs to leave the club to get money (from his car or maybe the ATM is down) then get a bouncer to go with him and/or (if not possible) make him leave something important as collateral, such as a cell phone. Always get management/bouncers involved if the customer is being difficult, but don't leave his side. Drag him by the arm to the bouncer/manager and explain the situation. At this point, it doesn't matter if you look money hungry or not because this is clearly not going to be a repeat customer and he's just trying to take advantage of you. Don't let him.

Re: Ripped off!
Stacking dances is normal in my club also, some give money up front though or at least have a stack of money on the table so you know they have it. Only one guy has given me some collateral before but Im gonna start using that one. Thats true, they DO take stuff out of their pockets and Im totally going for the keys. This happened at the end of the night and the ATM happened to be broken, I didnt know until after he ran, But Im wondering if he knew all along he wasnt going to pay because he couldnt get money out anyway and saw the sign before me? :( Bah.... A friend told me she got ripped off a CR by 700 dollars and the club didnt do anything but say "oh well". It wasnt THAT bad for me, guess Im lucky, but Id hate to learn this lesson losing that kind of money and no compensation.

Re: Ripped off!
There's no doubt that you're incredibly lucky for working in a club where they would actually pay you the money in a situation like this. While it still sucks that the guy got away with not paying, this is really the best way the situation could have gone for you!

Re: Ripped off!
Its why I always stand up and block them getting out of the private dance area... and our managers have someone at the door! They watch who goesin and out!
